“The overall stay was pleasant and the staff was courteous. However we did find the rooms a wee bit small and therefore crowded.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Shane from Penn Hills, PA
“This was a great choice for the weekend travelers. The free breakfast was great. The selection is what you expect (omelets, muffins, bacon sausage etc.) The location was prime we could walk everywhere in the city of Toronto. The only down side is you had to pay for parking which I guess for a big city like Toronto is needed. Overall though I really liked the hotel.” Aug 29, 2008 by
Karlee from Ontario, ON CA
“It was not that good. The coffee downstairs was cold, there was never any water in the dispenser for tea, and the room was not clean. There was garbage from a previous guest under my bed and my bed didnt feel clean. The rug was definitely not vacuumed either.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Gloria from Kamloops, BC CA
“You can find the hotel easily because it is near King and Church. You can see the Church and hear the Church bells every 15 minutes.” May 18, 2008 by
Y from Hong Kong JP
“Would recommend this hotel to business travelers. Breakfast complimentary. Great Staff. Only bad thing about this hotel is the druggies and crack heads that's on the streets around the hotel all day.” Nov 13, 2007 by
Tanya from Nepean, ON CA
“Overall I was pleased with my stay.” Sep 22, 2006 by
Kim from Utopia, ON CA
“The breakfast was fabulous. A very wide selection and quite enjoyable. The hotel met expectations for cleanliness and basic amenities Way overpriced however. Only downfall to great location is the homeless shelter being across the street - it got rather noisy in the late evening.” Aug 12, 2006 by
Rachel from Parma, OH
“The hotel was clean. The continental breakfast was excellent. The lady in the gift shop was helpful. Great location for downtown activities. I only wish it had a pool and gym.” Apr 25, 2006 by
Judy from Buffalo, NY
“Convenient to St. Lawrence Market. Clean. Appropriate amenities. Breakfast for those who want it. Exercise facilities would have been nice.” Sep 19, 2005 by
Kip from Paw Paw, MI
“We liked the pillows, would have liked a pool or spa. The location is ok. Taxi's are very economical and parking is as well. The area is busy with new buildings being built and looks very promising.” Jul 5, 2005 by
Doug from Geneseo, NY
“wanted to rebook the same hotel but the price was much higher at the front desk.” May 29, 2005 by
Joe from Brockton, MA
“Overall a good motel for someone looking for a basic stay with no frills. The room was adaquate for my needs of basically a place to sleep. Hotel is also doing renovations at this time which led to the 8 I gave for cleanliness, otherwise it seemed to be kept up nicely.” May 18, 2005 by
Juli D. from Erie, PA
“I would have to say that from the begginng this was not a good stay. I phoned ahead to request 2 double beds. I spoke to a man who spoke to his manager and said no problem and no extra charge was mentioned.I went to check in and they had no in a queen and wanted to charge ne extra to get the two doubles which i confirmed already.I had to argue with the man at the desk, tell him the persons name whom i spoke to to confirm the double double request and then he gave me a double double, the hotel room carpeting was so dirty you could NOT walk on it barefoot as it was actually sticky in places which was grotesque, the next door neighbors smoked pot and you could smell it so strongly under the doors i was getting nauseous, and this was a non smoking floor, I would have callled downstairs to the front desk but was afraid they would know it was us and try to seek revenge in some way as it was just me and my girlfriend ( 2 girls) alone in this room. then the noise outside was terrible,we were across from a shelter and the men who couldnt get in were yelling all night, as if this was not bad enough people upstairs were having a party above our heads.I am sorry to say i would NOT be going back to this hotel for any price.” May 6, 2005 by
Dominique from Montreal, NY
“Very Good location with good 2 stars room and service.” Apr 27, 2005 by
Bart from St. Johns, ME
“Hotel is located in a run down part of the downtown, off of the main streets. On one corner is a 24 Hour gas station and store, the other a salvation army shelter, and another, a goodwill thrift shop. Two guests get a bed and a foldout chesterfield.” Apr 21, 2005 by
Chhavi from Auburn Hills, MI
“Breakfast good. Apr 19, 2005 by
Mark from Austin, TX
“The location of this hotel is convenient to downtown. About a 4-block from the King St. subway stop, and probably accessible by bus. They provide a convenient flat-fee rate taxi ride to airport if requested. Enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. Though the hotel is older, they are making attempts to renovate, which is a sign of good management and commitment to quality. The room, though old and small, was nice. The beds could be more comfy though.” Mar 28, 2005 by
Luke from Corvallis, OR
“Quality Inn Hotel is near downtown Toronto, a few blocks from the subway, historic buildings, shopping, and food. I managed to get this hotel for much cheaper than normal - off season price was wonderful. The amenities are nice (free breakfast, free newspaper, cable TV) and the location is fantastic.” Mar 18, 2005 by
Gary from Toledo, OH
“Send us here whenever we're in Toronto !” Feb 18, 2005 by
Julia from New York, NY
“The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from subway and 10 minute walk from Eaton Center. It's clean. I can't say anything about breakfast because I couldn't be bothered to actually get up early enough to have it. Although I had a dreadful cup of tea in the room. But otherwise it was very good.” Feb 16, 2005 by
Miguel from Cambridge, MA
“The hotel is sort of in the middle of a part of Toronto currently undergoing "urban renewal" -- there are a few nice restaurants and bars within walking distance; Lombard Street itself is a little tucked away (between King and Queen on a little side-street).The hotel has an odd system of continental breakfasts -- be sure to request your "free meal" ticket from reception BEFORE going to the dining room, or beware the unfriendliness of the service in the dining room itself.Otherwise, the accommodations were clean and well-kept, the proximity to the subway is good (15 minutes walking -- a little brutal in Canadian winters). I was there on a conference at the University of Toronto, and immediately realized that I needed to budget an extra 45 minutes to get to U of T and the Bloor/Spadina area business district (where most of the attractions are) via public transportation (which, in Toronto, has been perfected to an art -- don't bother with cabs unless you have to).For the price, I would stay there again in a heartbeat -- although this time I hope it will be in the spring or summer when the temperatures are not below zero!” Feb 14, 2005 by
Ray from San Leandro, CA
“The heating unit has too much noise for me to have a good-night sleep.” Jan 27, 2005 by
Kim from Buffalo, NY
“I did not like the way a hotel staff member treated my friend and I. We have stayed in this hotel before and liked it and never had any problems. Tha manager the next morning did correct the situation.” Jan 22, 2005 by
Linda from Fort Gratiot, MI
“Fits the star rating” Oct 13, 2004 by
“Basic and clean accommodation, slightly off the beat for those walking from Yonge Street. Neighborhood a little questionable for a single woman to walk through. Pleasant staff.” Sep 3, 2004 by
Sylvester N. from Jamaica, NY “The hotel was clean and pleasant. However, the slamming of the doors woke up my family whenever someone is leaving their room. Other wise it is very nice.”
