• Location.
• Difficult to find once downtown.

“I used my GPS to get downtown, but once there it would not log onto your location, I spent at least 15 - 20 minutes circling around because I couldn't find one harbor square, however, once located, I was very satisfied with your hotel. It is beautiful, clean and welcoming.”

• Everything was great, no complaints at all, will recommend it to all my friends.
• The price for parking was way too expensive and if you didn't pay for the valet you had to walk 2 blocks away.

very nice hotel, with nice, modern, clean rooms but not very convenient location. Not very close to public transport, consider especially during the 7 or 8 months that its cold. Cabs are very expensive in Toronto, about 15 dollars just to get from the hotel to downtown.”

• It was under major renovations and construction.

“Well maintained property, perfect service across the board. The restaurant food (Mizzen) is world class. Went to see the view from the top floor restaurant, did not eat there. It looks tired and dated, but at night I am certain the view compensates. Our family experience, two rooms, four nights, exceeded our expectations. These people know how to operate a five star hotel!”

• The pool and steam room were heavenly.

• We were able to check in to our rooms three hours early! Able to take shuttle to Eaton's Center was very handy. Staff couldn't have been better.
• The hot tub was not working well- it was more like a warm bath. No jets.

“Amazing stay. We are already planning our next visit. We can only hope that it will be at the Hilton.”

• The gym was amazing, place was sparkling clean.
• Valet parking was $40, nearest parking lot was down the street for $10 a night.

• Inconvenient parking, hotel under construction, tiny bath tubs, rude parking staff

“The parking issue certainly is unexpected. $40 to valet park, if you choose to self park it is 2 blocks away to park and is in an unsecured area. At $26 to self park, we found a lot right next to hotel for $10. Not a great impression. Rooms are beautiful, tiny bath tubs with luke warm water. The hotel was under construction. You had to pay extra to use the pool and gym facilites!!”

• The location was convenient for accessing Union Station, but inconvenient for accessing the rest of what Toronto has to offer.

• I liked the king size bed, plasma TV, layout of the room.
• The shower wasn't clean, parking expensive, extra charges in room, internet, local telephone calls not aware.

“I was very displeased with the bathroom not being very clean.
I had to call and have it cleaned before I could use it. I found the parking expensive and I wasn't aware of the hidden charges, i.e. local telephone calls, internet service.”

“Very nice hotel located on Lake Ontario with views of both the city and lake. Easy to walk to old town Toronto (very quaint), wonderful markets, public transportation to explore more of the city. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.”

• Rooms were nice. Lobby bar was excellent.
• Front desk wouldn't allow a cot or a late check out.

“The rooms were nice. The bar in the lobby had good food and reasonably priced drinks, especially for a business hotel. I was surprise that the front desk and manager would not allow me to get a cot in my room. Also, I was running in the Toronto Marathon and was not allowed a late check out. Lastly, the Business Center charged too much for internet access. I did like the airline check-in computer that they offered.”

• Bed was comfortable.
• Used gum on a stuck to a flyer on my pillow, speaker phone randomly started beeping at 4:30am and wouldn't shut off (had to unplug phone).

“I have visited this hotel before and had problem the first time as well, albeit not as pressing as the issues this time around. Both times there was an issue with their valet parking and being overcharged or charged twice. This time the room we were in had used chewing gum stuck on a flyer that was sitting on my pillow. We also had an issue with a faulty phone that randomly started beeping through its speaker at 4:30am. If that wasn't annoying enough we couldn't get it to turn off, we ended up unplugging the phone. This is a nice hotel though and the phone issue is a random thing that couldn't be avoided. The rest of the issues however could have been avoided if there was a little proper management and higher standards for hygiene.”

• Room was recently renovated and very sharp.
• Not as central to the TIFF theatres as it could have been.

“We wanted a hotel for TIFF and this hotel, while a bit out of the way, surpassed our needs. Because it wasn't as centrally located as other hotels, it meant that we couldn't pop back as quickly so we were out all day between films. But when we were there, we were impressed with the room and our views of downtown and the lake. We used the Union Station Subway location repeatedly, both for our original arrival (by train) and for getting around to some theatres. It's about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel brunch/buffet is a bit pricier than others but food quality was good.”

“The hotel it's self is nice. The room was very plane it was not cleaned properly, the staff was not very friendly. I would not stay at the Westin Harbor again. It was not worth the money.”

• Noisy ventilation system.

“The only drawback was the somewhat noisy ventilation system that kept cutting on and off. After a while, I figured out that I could keep it on by switching the fan to on from auto. That did the trick as the fan start-up was really the only annoying part.”

• The view of the lake from our room and our bed.
• Room was smoke heavy, no parking.

“Upon arrival we were told the parking lot was full and couldn't even valet. We had to park up the street in an open lot and pay the attendant every morning so our car wouldn't be towed. Our room had smokers in it previously, my husband is highly allergic to cigarette smoke and had trouble breathing and sleeping. We couldn't change rooms because the hotel was full.”

• Overall, the service was excellent.
• When I asked for a bell hop to get my bags in the room it took longer than expected. Could not get my own cart if I wanted to do so.

“The view is spectacular from almost any angle. The lake and downtown Toronto seem within reach simply by extending my hand. It was truly a great location. The room was very comfortable and had all the modern amenities that you could want. The only disappointment about the room is that it did not come with high speed internet. They offered a nice package for internet and phone service as an option which worked out fine.”

• The location of the hotel is excellent. The room is great.

• Very nice clean rooms/ piano bar with food open until late/very nice 360 panoramic view restaurant.
• Breakfast restaurant is too expensive for low eaters and expensive parking space.

“Located in a very easy too walk area, easy access to Subway, and taxi cabs. Very nice remodeled room with a plasma TV and beautiful view of lake. You have to check out the restaurant on the top floor in the north wing, beautiful 360 View. Always ask how much they will charge. I could get the tickets on the internet. Hope this helps.”

• The rooms are so comfortable and nicely decorated. Top quality hotel!
• No free wireless access in rooms.

“I stayed at this hotel with my husband in a connecting room with my sister and her husband. This hotel exceeded our expectations in comfort and quality in every way. We had a beautiful view of the water (side of the hotel has a partial view of the islands, the big lake and the city!). The room darkening blinds are wonderful as the sun shines directly in that side in the morning. Great place to stay as far as location - we really enjoyed being on the harbor front and took advantage of running along the harbor area as well as taking the ferry to the Islands one day. Very convenient to the Subway too! The staff was very helpful and friendly.”

• One day no face cloths or hand towels were left. Another day no face cloths or bath mats were left.
