• The walk to the conference center isn't very nice.

“It was great, except when my key card didn't work. A staff person brought me a new card right away, but I felt he expected a tip, and I didn't want to tip him for something that was the fault of the management, even though it wasn't his fault.”

• Best hotel pool area I¿ve ever used.
• The hotel bar did not have bar service until 2:30 pm.

“The Westin Harbor Castle was quite frankly the best hotel I¿ve ever been to. From location, view, room comfort, and so many other amenities that I cannot remember them all, it takes top marks across the board. Not only would I go back there again, but I'd recommend it to everyone who was thinking of taking a trip to Toronto.”

• 30.00 per day parking that were not stated at the time of booking.

“Very nice hotel. The parking charge of 30.00 per day was not mentioned at the time of booking. In addition they double charged me for parking as if I had two vehicles. As a business traveler going solo, it¿s hard to imagine how such a mistake could be made.”

• Excellent hotel. It is a pity however that the rooms allocated are of lesser quality.
• The room had been freshly painted, and the smell of paint was still very strong. Took a while to get used to.

“Excellent hotel and quality, conveniently located in Toronto downtown, 10-15 mines walk to major attractions in the city. Got full retribution for the price I paid.”

• To many stair steps to reach the lobby from street level, could not find elevator or escalator.

• Convenient location to Rogers¿s center.
• 8:40 am fire alarm with no direction. We exited the hotel. Staff said we could stay if we wanted! Ad!

“Fabulous- convenient, clean etc. We should have been compensated for the fire alarm incident. Staff acted as if it was no big deal.¿ stay or leave the hotel- what ever you wish!" this is unacceptable.”

• Beautiful view of the lake wonderful bed Lots of comforts liked the pool and sauna and the steam room.
• Parking was more than usual for Toronto.

• Helpful concierge and service desk when called.
• Parking was quite expensive relative to location away from downtown center.

“The lobby and restaurants have a nice, upscale feel to them. The parking is expensive relative to not being in the heart of the downtown. Great access to the subway via a metro entrance virtually steps across the street. The room was sufficient, though the price for internet access was too much. ”

“This hotel is located on the waterfront, just a hope away from Toronto¿s Yonge street district for shopping, dining and entertainment. The lobby was spotless and the entire hotel had a modern chic feel to it. The room could have use a little dusting, but besides that, very nicely furnished. The view outside of my window was beautiful, facing the lake. I'd strongly recommend to anyone traveling to Toronto.”

• Top notch service from check in till check out. Best hotel I have stayed in.
• For our purposes the hotel was further from our event that other hotels.

“Well worth the money, whatever you have to pay. The desk staff, housekeeping, etc were all top notch. This hotel has a great reputation for a reason, it is great. NHL Hockey Teams use this as their hotel when in town, so you might get a little starstruck too!”

“Large room with incredible panoramic view of lake. Very upper-end "spa" like in its decor. Large flat screen with dream bed that is very comfortable. Wish my wife could have joined me on this trip as it was beautiful.”

• I liked how they offered us a room with two double beds when we were guaranteed a king size bed.
• The price of parking! I would have liked a more casual dinning area, too.

“Very helpful and the rooms, pool and lobby area were great. I was also grateful that this hotel had room service, as we got in late and didn't need to leave early the next morning to try and look for some where to eat.”

• The room was fantastic, as was the ventilation and the bed! Starbucks coffee in the morning was a great way to get up in the morning.
• The smell of the lotion and shampoo was not for me. The cost of the movies and use of the internet were a bit pricey.

“The hotel and its staff was great from those we met when we pulled in front of the hotel to those we said good-bye to when we left. Everyone was genuinely nice and informative. The overall design of the room was spectacular. The ventilation, the pillows on the bed, and the bed itself were the best. As you can tell I have no real complaints.”

• Service desk does not always take calls. Local phone calls are charged.

“This hotel was nice, but I¿ve seen much better rooms in the 4 star categories. The service was mediocre; the reception desk was not always available to take calls. Everything costs extra, If you want to use the bottled water in the room it costs $5.95, Local phone calls cost $2 each (this is called "price gauging"). I was afraid to turn on the TV, I thought to myself: Will they charge for this.”

• The location was close to area attractions. The room was comfortable. The pool and health club facilities were nice.

• The hotel is amazing a bit big therefore staff not friendly but overall great place I would stay again.
• Excellent overall.

• It was a great stay the housekeeping staff was the best.
• Nothing we will stay there again the next time we are in the Eugene area.

“The place was outstanding in every way the housekeeping was the best. Its location was right where we needed it. With the freeway access the red lion is close to everything. I will stay there again. I will have anyone who asks to stay there. When we do any family stuff (we are out of Washington and the rest of my in-laws are out of coos bay, Medford and Salem) we will all meet there and stay a few days. Thank you for hooking me up!”

• Ultra modern with amazing had TV and furnishings.
• I had to call to have stopper replaced in bathtub.

“This was a hotel that far exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the minute I arrived, valet parking was offered. The decor as you walk in was expansive and impressive. The concierge desk had a bowl of Mars bars! The front desk had several bowls of delicious looking green apples, and there was no need to wait in a line I was served promptly and there was more than one offer to assist me further with my luggage (but not pushy). The second day, it poured rain and I did not have to go and buy an umbrella. It was provided to me by the bellman. Any requests were always dealt with promptly, and I was impressed that the houseclean staff were there 24/7. Any time I called front desk they addressed me by name. Overall it was just a very personalized service and was very impressive.”

• The ladies change room was gross; smelly and unclean overnight.

• The toile restart, although beautiful, offered a limited menu.

“I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The room was well furnished and comfortable. The staff, however, was amazing from the initial arrival to the day we checked out. They made us feel welcome provided the belief that they really did want to make our trip special.”

• Love the "heavenly beds"; very nice room; good location on the water.
• Some parts of the hotel were under renovation.

“Great hotel in lovely location in downtown Toronto. Located right on the water, this west in hotel has all of the great features typical of west in - heavenly beds, nice showers, very nice furniture. My room was large, overlooking the water, had a large flat-screen TV, a chaise-lounge, and a king size bed. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to other business travelers.”

• In good location but very barren when you walk out of hotel.

“The lobby is lovely with a view from the front doors right through to the lake. Unfortunately we were there on march break so it was very noisy and crowded with kids running around. The staff was exceptional with personal and friendly service. The room was very comfortable and had nice amenities. We have stayed before and will likely stay again.”
