• Fantastic beds, large rooms with great view.
• The maid did a sloppy bathroom cleaning.

“Good location, excellent beds, and efficient staff. The only downside was the fitness center and the swimming pool. The fitness center is being used by non-hotel guests. Mornings and afternoons tend to be crowded. Pool rules are not enforced. Lots ok kids and young people jumping and playing ball in the pool. I will return to and would recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues.”

• Entrance is not obvious and need more help for traveler.

• The location in downtown Toronto was perfect. Close to everything.

• Great concierge desk, wonderful location, and views.
• Valet parking was steep, not helpful to us to self park!

“Overall, it was everything they claim in their website. Very safe attractive area of Toronto. Easy to walk to SkyDome, CN Tower and Hockey Hall Of Fame. Staff was overall very polite and helpful. Valet parking staff could try to be a little more helpful to those self parking guests but overall a 10 out of 10!”

• The rooms were really nice and the staff was friendly.

“The staff was friendly. However, mentioned that we are entitled to no frills such as upgrading or breakfast. Not appreciated this comment, out us in a cheap category. However the hotel was well decorated, fabulous view from the room and but costly parking 30 per day plus tips. Room service was costly and no good cheap badly prepared food.”

“This hotel was newly renovated with beautiful amenities including plasma screen TV, top of the line toiletries, etc. Also, the pool area had tennis courts and a basketball court which my children loved. All restaurants were excellent and the staff was very pleasant. Very quick to attend to your needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!”

“The hotel was in a superb location close to harbor front walk and restaurants. At the bottom of Yonge street a short walk from down town Toronto and within walking distance of the CN tower. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with great views. The hotel pool, tennis court and sun deck great too. The hotel valet parking was a little steep at $32can a day but I guess that's big city parking for you!”

• Beautiful amenities including a 37" flat screen TV, extra large room and outstanding harbor view. Short walk to pubs, cafes and theatre district.
• $31 a day cost to park the car.

The fitness center was one of the best I've ever seen at a hotel. The Olympic sized pool had such an outdoor feel it was easy to forget that it was indoors and there was a huge rooftop terrace with sun loungers to step out to from the pool area if you wanted sunshine.”

• The newly renovated room was fantastic, very comfortable and great views of lake Ontario.
• Breakfast at the hotel was very pricey with buffet breakfast.

“The Westin Harbor Castle was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel was extremely comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the flat screen television was a nice addition to the room. We had a great stay here and would absolutely stay their again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Toronto. The only thing that was a little strange was the price of buffet breakfast. The breakfast was good but not spectacular considering the price. We have traveled to Toronto and stayed at many different hotels with great breakfasts but I would not allow that to be the reason not to stay their especially cause the offer a Starbucks in the lobby with continental breakfast items.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the service was excellent.
• The rooftop restaurant was disappointing. Unfriendly service, watered down, overpriced drinks. They stuck us in a corner with spare furniture.

“I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was not very cozy, but the bed was amazing, although the white sheets had a greasy black stain on them. The service at the hotel was excellent, but in the restaurant (Toula) it was terrible. The location on the water is nice. There is a green space behind the hotel with benches and picnic tables. But it's a very touristy area, which I generally try to avoid. The driving directions on their website were not helpful at all, and I could not find their self-parking area, so ended up paying for valet parking. Room service was very efficient and both dinner and breakfast were quite good. The "heavy shower" was average, but my hair loved the shampoo and conditioner. I travel to Toronto often. Overall, it was not comparable to other hotels in the same price range. If I had paid full price, I would have been very unhappy.”

• The waterfront location is absolutely gorgeous.
• The adjacent unoccupied room had an alarm clock left on. annoying! cleaning staff should turn these off.

“Set on the beautiful waters of Toronto Harbor, the Weston Harbor Castle offers a beautiful hotel setting, yet it is a short walk from downtown. The gorgeous lobby and helpful staff will direct you to your very well appointed room (with flat panel display) and a skyline or Harbor view. Unfortunately for travelers on foot, the main entrance to this hotel is designed for automobiles, and not people. Pedestrians must walk up stairs between multiple levels of driveway, and families with strollers have no marked entrance to enter the hotel, and must contend with numerous locked doors before finding a way in.”

“We were at this hotel for a sales conference for FedEx (4000 reps) and we decided to stay a few extra days. Our room and many others were not ready when we arrived for the conference at 3:30 pm on Tues. We did not get clean towels, water, coffee, or cups daily. We were charged for local calls and 800 calls and the front desk clerk was rude when we asked for refund. Didn't offer airport shuttle service to us and we paid for a cab, but they had a shuttle for low price.”

• Far out to most downtown attractions. Reception staff cold.

“This is a typical but huge Westin with close to 1000 rooms right on the waterfront. The rooms were extremely nice with a firm bed for those who like it. Front office staff was kind of cold and not that willing to help out with directions for instance. Workout facilities amazing; pool, sauna, hot tub, huge sun deck with basketball court, etc. Overall, great value, very good hotel.”

• When I entered my room, there was an empty container for a four pack of Canadian alcoholic beverage. Someone, perhaps staff, had been in the room.

“On the surface, high quality. The presence of the alcoholic beverage container in my room. At first, I thought it was an oversight by the cleaning personnel. The more I thought about it and the more I thought about the location of the room in the hotel. I think it might have been used by staff as a "hideaway" for drinking and other activities. I think that, if true, is very worrisome.”

“I've stayed in the harbor castle and never been disappointed. It is truly an excellent property. The staff, in general, is courteous, helpful, and goes out of their way to make certain you are satisfied. I've only had one bad experience with the hotel and the staff from front desk to bellman to the assistant manager dealt with it expeditiously.”

• The harbor front location was very nice.
• I was really put off that if you did not want the valet to park your car for $30 that you were asked to pay $17 to park outdoors 2 blokes away. .

“This hotel was OK. It was easy to get to but it looked very dated from the outside. The room was very small. The linens were stained.”

“Awesome hotel, a little out of the way, but cabs were readily an available and the subway system (a good one also) was less than a five minute walk. You can get to all parts of Toronto, Eaton center, Yorkville, Greek town, china town, etc.”

• No wireless internet and had problems getting on the net with current system.

“This is a great hotel for any occasion. From the moment you pull up to the valet station till you exit through the revolving doors, you are embraced by the curdiest staff and over whelmed by the atmosphere. I have stayed there twice and both times have been good. Lets' just say the hotel made the trip a great one.”

• The hotel in general was very clean.
• The housekeeping staff was very slow. Housekeeping did not clean the room until 6:00 PM.

“I would prefer to never stay at this hotel again. Nothing is free; you even have to pay for drinking water. Internet service runs you about US $12.00 a day. If you are visiting downtown Toronto does not stay at this hotel! It's not downtown! It should probably be listed as harbor front. Downtown is about a 20 minute walk and the closest subway stop is about 5 to 7 minutes walk. If you looking for a quiet area with nothing to do, this is the place. If you like downtown shopping and all the action that goes along with downtown don't stay here. One final thing, housekeeping never comes to make your room until about 6:00 pm which I find unacceptable.”

• Very loud party in the boat right outside our window.

“Beautiful, luxurious room with a view of the lake, but unfortunately also a great view of a Saturday night boat party which has loud music right outside our window until at least 2am. The front desk was very sympathetic and they claimed to have called the police several times, but maybe this is a weekly occurrence?”

• Our room was on the 7th floor facing Toronto Island. We had a wonderful view of the ferry terminal and of the coming and going of the ferries.
• Liked everything.

“A great location in downtown Toronto. The staff was friendly when we arrived by car, helping to unload luggage and decide about hotel parking or lot parking. Staff at check in were efficient and pleasant about helping us find a particular restaurant we were looking for and provided us with a map.”

• The hotel has nice views of the city and waterfront. The pool is very nice and there are also nice tennis courts on the 5th floor.
• The valet parking is $30 per day which is very high and the public parking lot outside the hotel did not seem safe enough to park in

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to downtown Toronto. It is located in an area where you do not need to use your car because there is plenty of public transportation. You can take the subway, a taxi or a street car to anywhere in downtown Toronto for a nominal fee.”

• It was close to downtown and the bed was very comfortable.
• It was terribly noisy because of a party outside. Even though we were on the 28th floor we could hear the music up to 3 AM in the morning.

“Windows were trembling. Staff were not nice about it and they moved us to another room at 2 A.M. which had exactly the same problem.”

“The hotel itself was lovely. I love a Westin, but the restaurant that was next the hotel had outdoor seating and when that band came on at midnight, everyone in that tower of the hotel must have heard it. For two hours, all we could hear was bass and conga drums. My husband and I accepted it, based on the low price we paid for the hotel, but fill priced payers must have been really mad. I am surprised that a 4-star hotel like that wouldn't strike some deal with the restaurant. I was just surprised that it happened at a Westing!”

• I was very pleased with the hotel, great location, and excellent facilities in the hotel. Amazing view of the city!
• Our room had not been thoroughly cleaned. We did not receive robes; a pillow on one of the beds was covered in someone else's make-up.

“Excellent customer service, excellent location, central to air Canada centre and Rogers's sky dome. Great place for romantic walks on the boardwalk along queen's quay - safe and comfortable neighborhood. Highly recommended to all!”
