• Great new had widescreen TV ;).
• The room is a little bit smaller than the others I have been in the same star level.

“The hotel is clean and comfortable though the room and bathroom was a little bit smaller than others in the same star levels liked the new big had widescreen TV in the room. The drawback of the hotel is the entrance is a little bit complicate because we have to go on several elevators before getting to the hotel. All in all, it is a great hotel.”

• Excellent hotel room.
• Parking procedure needs improvement upon leaving.

“Excellent hotel. The only area of concern is leaving the hotel parking. Upon reaching the cashier, he still had to phone back to the front desk to confirm that the ticket that you had validated was correct. A great delay results. Other travelers I met said the same thing.”

• The staff was very helpful and polite, and I could enjoy smoking without feeling discriminated against or less human for my tobacco addiction.
• Could better brand of coffee in the room with more bottled water for making coffee with and more creamers.

• In the airport so perfect before or after a plane trip.
• No valet service, parking was the airport parking.

“The mini bar in the room wasn't even stocked and there was no hairdryer. We only got a better room after asking for an upgrade. The second room was worthy of the 4-star rating.”

• Hot food at breakfast buffet was awful.

“This hotel is incredibly convenient with an annex to the airport. The room was comfortable, clean, warm & thoughtfully decorated. Service was great and concierge was very helpful. At check in we were given a buy one get one free breakfast buffet voucher. This was great except that the hot food at the buffet was terrible. The fresh fruits, cereal and yogurt were fine and the service was fine as well. While the voucher seemed like a great deal, at $23 it was anything but for the quality.”

• Easy to get to from the airport. Medium clean and plain in decor.

“The hotel is right near the airport but very far from any shopping centre and downtown. Room decor is dated and medium clean. Good for overnight stay between flights. Staffs attitude is cool but courteous.”

• Parking 25 dollars a day.

“Personally I enjoyed the hotel, I wouldnt have gone to an airport hotel if I knew about it but over all it was a pleasant stay, my son and I were riding the train that goes around the airport all afternoon. Swimming area and bathroom, fantastic! Food was a bit pricy for what you got, also parking would run a hole in your pocket.”

• Wonderful 24 hour pool area.
• The bar was expensive.

“An excellent airport hotel. Has a great pool area and is a fantastic place to unwind after a long or grueling flight. Not convenient for downtown outings, but if you're only going to be around the airport and need to relax before or after a trip this is your best bet in Toronto.”

• It was very clean. The rooms were very nice, with a business like decor. Very masculine.
• I did not like that it was located at the airport. It is located on the 5th floor of the parking lot.

“This is a beautiful hotel that I would recommend to the business traveler, or someone stopping in the city on a layover. However, this is not a hotel that I would recommend to a local of Toronto. You have to drive through 5 floor of the parking lot, to get to the hotel, and it is attached to the airport. It is not within walking distance of any restaurants. And if you want to take a taxi anywhere, the only ones out front are the airport taxis, which charge double the normal cab fare.”

• I had an excellent stay at the Sheraton Gateway hotel. The place was very clean, comfortable and classy. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
• There was no late night hot-food room service!

“My experience at the Sheraton Gateway hotel was a very pleasant one. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I was also impressed with how classy the place looked. The staff was accommodating and I received excellent customer service. The only down-fall was that there was no hot-food room service available on the late night menu, and the person we talked to wasn't sure where we could order in. Overall, it was a great stay!”

• The rooms were comfortable and clean, but I don't need a 4-star just for this.
• The ice room near our room was a private one for airline employees only. Don't like location in airport.

“Although this was a nice hotel, it was located in the airport. Next time I would avoid any hotels in an airport since it's very inconvenient for travel outside of the airport. Also, hotels should provide free parking for guest no matter where its location is.”

• Horrendous staff!

“In a few short words, there was nothing wrong with the hotel rooms themselves, what was wrong was more with the staff and other hotel facilities. They were downright unhelpful if not otherwise condescending. There was one exception on the morning of check out. Unable to answer basic questions/directions and instead of going and finding the information like most staff do, they would just respond, I don't know. We exchanged long lines at reception desk due to understaffing. Hot tub was lukewarm and one of the metal support poles on the stairs was split from its base (all rusted) and dangerous to cut your feet. Fitness changing rooms were filthy. The list goes one. I wasn't a fan of Star wood properties but this definitely confirmed that they won't be getting my business again.”

• I missed the free breakfast because I overslept until 10:15 a.m.

“Why don't all airports have a hotel you can reach on foot in less than 5 minutes? Especially after long delays, the large room and upscale bed was exactly what I needed.”

• The hotel was clean and comfortable and all the staff was very friendly.
• I didn't like that we had to pay for parking and that it was right at the airport, the location was not as close to the wedding we went to as I hoped.

“I certainly liked the Sheraton hotel and would stay with Sheraton again. The only problem was that this location was somewhat inconvenient.”

• It is located inside the airport. Difficult to find if you are traveling by car. High parking rate.

• Location, in airport. Parking access difficult.

“Lovely specialty property, located in Terminal 3 of the Toronto International Airport. Parking is close to the hotel entrance, but you must drive through the airport complex and all the way to the top of a parking garage, plus pay $24 for parking. It is a very inconvenient and annoying situation if you are using the hotel as a home base for exploring Toronto.”

• I hope it will take my offer every time, this travel I had to stay in another hotel for the same price I stayed at Sheraton gateway before.

• Cost of vehicle parking very exorbitant.

“Overall fine hotel for the money. While in close proximity to the airport plane noise was never bothersome and was not even heard. The beds were extremely comfortable and the housekeeping staff was very efficient.”

“It was a little difficult to find, even with Map Quest. Parking was expensive. We expected it to be noisy so close to the airport, but it wasn't, at all and the lights at night made for a pretty view. Hotel staff was super friendly, fast, very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were good sized, modern, very clean, nice linens & towels. Very comfortable bed, too. Overall, our stay was pleasant, luxurious and relaxing. It's one of the nicest places we've been in the GTA, and we're very frequent visitors. We'll be back, now that we know where it is!”

• Staff was great; rooms were very clean.
• View from window was a big wall. Beds were small. Parking cost 28$ per day.

“Great for business traveler who needs to be close to airport for an early morning flight. Not so great for families (beds are too small for 2 people/bed) and there is not much to do unless you get out of the area by car. Oh. Parking costs 28$/day.Still, rooms were super clean and the staff was very helpful.”

• $18 for wi-fi, no in room bar.

“I always get special attention at this hotel. I like the rooms facing the runway; however, when not on the Starwood floor, they do not have a mini bar. Wi-Fi costs seem really high as does room service. Only hotel I know of that still has smoking rooms.”

• Food and booze cost very high. No value for what is charged.

“Convenient location directly opposite Pearson Terminal 3. Comfortable rooms with good facilities however exercise room is small and equipment is in dire need of an upgrade. Food and beverage service is adequate. However, the quality is not consistent with the price $18.00 for a burger and small salad! $40 for 2 double drinks! That is an 870% markup on the alcohol. I do not mind a hotel making a buck but that is just plain rip-off.”

• I was surprised they treated kids special since I expected it to be focused on business travelers.
• Restaurant prices were outrageous for the quality of food.

“This was a very fine hotel that made my family very comfortable. Plane noise was inaudible despite it being located in the airport. Restaurant costs were high but the food quality was good. I would stay here again.”

“Nice hotel catering mostly to business customers and Toronto airport travelers. Convenient walkway to terminals makes it an ideal place to stay during a layover. Nice and friendly staff at front desk, but the concierge guys was not helpful and very disorganized. Nice, big and clean rooms.”

• 10 minute walk to my airline gate.
• Terrible signage.

“Fabulous hotel for airline professionals, minutes from any Toronto Airport gate. Terrible highway and approach signage for the traveler who is driving into Toronto Airport for the first time. Believe it or not, I had to drive through a five story parking lot to get to the hotel entry, check in and off-load my bags, and then pay for that brief parking privilege so I could return my rental car 100 feet next door. I since understand you can access the hotel by following the "departure" level signs, but if there's no hotel name on any of the signs leading into the airport - or the "departure" level - pity the poor lost bugger.”

• Hidden costs! $24 to park, $18 for Internet Service!

“Very nice modern hotel - excellent decor and helpful, professional staff. Great place to stay if you have an early flight out of Terminal 3. As with many 3* and 4* hotels, they gouge you on extras that 2 star hotels provide for free - $24 to park and $18 for internet service.”

• Location, quietness, sauna and steam room, Jacuzzi, and room service.
• The maid came in our room numerous times despite us asking her to wait, expensive parking, paid for late checkout, but charged for parking at full pry.

“This is an excellent hotel, affordable. Service workers (except for our cleaning staff) were excellent. The convenience to the airport, the facilities, and the people made this a great experience!”

• Hotel parking too expensive. (We used a cheaper lot...)

• Amenities were all charged in an inflated fashion. Parking was not free.

“This was a nice hotel for the value; however, the value was taken away when we found out that every amenity, including local phone calls and Internet access, was charged to the room. Even parking, free at nearby hotels, was 23 dollars a day. Although we got a good price for this hotel per night, we ended up spending a fortune!”

• Liked everything, no complaints.

“Super convenient location right in the airport. Quickly checked in. Got a good room with very comfortable bed. Used the gym (24 hours!) and enjoyed a fresh apple from the lobby. Very good value for the money. Would prefer to stay here again if ever traveling back to Toronto.”
