• The hotel staff were extremely helpful.
• While a short shuttle ride from the airport, it's too remote from anything else (restaurants, buses, etc)

“Good quality hotel with great staff but really only serves those needing a bed for the night in-between flights. It's too remote for accessing other than hotel restaurant and buses/skytrain to explore.”

• The shuttle, and I could leave my car in the gated underground parkade for $7.00 day so convenient.
• The view of the auto dealership adjacent to the hotel.

• The lobby is really quite attractive.
• The rooms seemed a little old.

• Bed and sheets are not comfortable enough.

“This hotel is located so close to the airport (but not noisy), made it convenient if you have an early flight next morning. The front desk staff's service was excellent, they know exactly what you need next.”

• Nice underground secure parking.
• No elevator from secure underground parking.

“Newly renovated public areas made a good first impression on arriving. The staff was helpful on the phone and while I was there. The room with two queen sized beds was a little cramped but I just needed a place to sleep so it really was exactly what I was looking for.”

“The price was good. Clean with friendly staff. Wish it had a breakfast with the room which helps when you have a family but McDonalds within walking distance. Shuttle service to airport is good.”

• Nicely appointed rooms.
• Noise from highway traffic, air traffic, and elevators!

“Little did we know, we were assigned to a room right behind the elevators and we can hear the elevator's zooming sound all day and all night! When we checked in, we asked for a quite room on the top floor. The staff simply got an attitude. The hotel was not full, we later asked another front desk staff.”

• House keeping and front desk personnel were excellent. The house keeper went to extreme measures to meet our comfort needs!
• The internet access was horrible. High speed was a joke that made our stay intolerable!

• Our room was quite, clean and ready for us.
• Parking lot was almost full, got the last space and spaces were hard to get into.

“Very nice hotel. Staff was helpful and polite. Only problem was with parking. We got the last spot, good thing we had small compact car as the parking spots are small and hard to get into.”

“The hotel was in a great location and it was very helpful to have a complimentary shuttle to bring us there. I was traveling with my daughter and the staff was very nice and consistently helpful. Also, it was a bonus to have children under 12 eat for free at their restaurant, which was delicious.”

• No Place for a roll-away---which was promised.

“The hotel room was okay and the bathroom was very large. There were 3 of us and we requested a roll-away bed, which was brought up to the room. However, there was no way to place the bed in the room without blocking the bathroom. The guy who removed it said he had told the management there really wasn't room in the rooms for a roll-away and not to even mentions it to guests.”

• The staff was helpful. They arranged to have the room made without down pillows since I am allergic to feathers.
• The view from the window was not that great.

“This hotel was very clean, this was noticeable in the lobby as well as our room. The room was spacious, and included a mini-fridge, as well as complimentary coffee. Even though we were next to the airport, we did not hear traffic, or even the other guests. The staff went above and beyond when we asked for a down alternative for the bedding. They went as far as to ask the maid to not use a feather duster when she/he got our room ready. We were really amazed by that.”

• The King size bed, free internet and nicely renovated made for an above average economical experience.
• Display of shuttle bus pickup location points and times not clear at the airport side.

“This was a very good hotel with good rooms, big beds, and free internet. Perhaps the only issue that keeps it at an 8 and not higher is the somewhat distant location and the fast food atmosphere that surrounds the hotel.”

• Friendly staff and we were able to get the rooms that we requested.
• Too close to the freeway, it could be noisy if the room is facing the freeway.

• Receptionists can be more friendly & accommodating.

“The receptionists create the 1st impression of what the hotel can offer. Smiling faces, warm greetings & sincere desire to help & anticipate what a traveler would need is a plus. Since I have not used Holiday Inn for a while (have time share) the image I had was what it used to be. When the kids were little we used to enjoy the warm breakfast (buffet) it used to offer. When I asked the receptionist whether there was breakfast she hastily said, "oh no there is a restaurant outside." I can understand that cost cutting has been a priority to survive this business but being manners does not cost a lot. It would be helpful if she had made some follow up comment of how the cafe is or other places close by if the nearest one cannot be recommended. She was not being rude in any sense, just not as helpful.”

• The only thing that went wrong was the stopper in the bathtub stayed closed and could not drain.

• It's located within a walking distance to a very good sushi restaurant (kiyo sushi).
• The free wireless internet is slow and shaky.

• It fully met the requirements for our one night stay before returning from Vancouver to the UK. Airport shuttle was convenient.
• A swimming pool would have been nice. The hot pool and fitness centre was limited.

“We stayed here only one night as planned as we flew in from Calgary and flew out from Vancouver airport to the UK next day. The airport shuttle was very convenient and the two rooms we booked were clean, comfortable and fully met our needs. The restaurant was good and the staff friendly and helpful. We would have preferred a pool to the limited fitness centre/hot tub though.”
