“The hotel was a Hilton. The location was safe to walk to the stores and not far from the Sky Train. Had a shuttle to the airport.”

• Bed was very comfortable. Coffee was great.
• Outdoor pool was not clean, so we did not use it. Wish it was indoors!

“Room was OK - comfortable bed, big flat screen TV and nice toiletries. The business center had 2 computers which were used most often by kids while we were there. Airport shuttle operates every 1/2 hour which was efficient. We did not like paying for parking - should be included in guest rate. We were able to leave our Avis rental at the hotel's parking garage which was very convenient.”

• Parking fee should be free for guests as this location is not in a Downtown setting.

• The friendliness of the staff, the access to the airport and good eating places nearby, e.g. Mad Greek.
• A little old and had not been updated.

“This hotel filled the bill for what I needed, which was access to the airport for an early morning flight. My experience was pleasant and I have no complaints. If I were looking for a place to stay while exploring Vancouver, I'd make another selection. This venue is due for a makeover.”

• Great start to cruise from Vancouver with princess cruise lines.
• Breakfast was not up to par for a Hilton hotel, even Dennis serves better breakfast.

“All In all we had a great couple of days at this hotel before our cruise with princess cruise lines. The hotel made a minor error the first day "loosing" an Important phone call to our room three times over a time span of one hour, but the manager on duty.”

• Clean room. The living area is separate from the bedroom area. Close to airport.
• The bedroom felt a little congested, but everything else was fine.

• Convenient & fairly clean. Room had a balcony.
• Somewhat far from Vancouver.

“The room was a bit on the smaller size, and had a big red stain on the carpet. It was fairly clean, and the upside was that it had a balcony with a clear view of Richmond. The front desk messed up my parking, as I got a parking ticket on the first night. I showed it to them, and to their credit they said they would take care of it. Overall, it was decent, and I would stay there again if I couldn't get something in downtown Vancouver.”

• Hotel restaurant surpassed our expectations.
• Elevator machinery on floor above our; 18th floor room kept us awake most of the night!

“After being serenaded all night long by very noisy elevator machinery on the floor above us. A front desk employee denied this but we were skeptical since the few other guests in the public areas indicated the hotel was not full.”

• Appreciated that they honored the request for two beds when they originally didn't think they could.

“Overall very nice; the pool, workout area, and hot tub were all very good (the pool was nice and warm!). Staff was friendly and helpful. Very good experience overall.”

“This is a very good hotel but the neighborhood is not pretty. It is close to the airport but the location is not very convenient for those on vacation. I have also stayed in downtown hotels and it's much easier to get around from there.”

• Very helpful staff! The beds were wonderful-extremely comfortable!
• I thought the restaurant menu was overpriced.

“The best feature for me was the bed. It was great! Every staff member I had contact with was friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was very clean and attractive. My stay was very enjoyable and stress-free. I definitely would like to stay at this hotel again.”

• Quiet even though fairly close to airport. Great views from the bedroom.
• Entry was kind of weird it was sort of like part of the parking garage.

“The rooms were large spacious appointed nicely, and clean! The heated pool was more of a small lap pool and was outside, making it weather dependant. The exercise/spa was small-only one treadmill, two bikes, but had weights, mats, TV. Hot tub nice but really hot! Didn't eat at the restaurant. Internet/business area ok the computer I used had a bad mouse.”

• I was traveling with my Mother who is 90 years old. We stayed at the Hilton International, Vancouver. Great room, very friendly staff.
• The only disadvantage was the bathtub and shower. My Mother was not able to manage the set-up.

• I liked that the rooms were big and well laid out.
• I did not like that the fire alarm went off at 2:30 am.

“The Hilton was very nice and clean. The staff for the most part was not overly friendly although a few were. Being awakened at 230 am by the fire alarm which went off for about 10 minutes. Was very annoying. I think they should have compensated the guests somehow instead of shrugging it off like it was a normal occurrence.”

“The Hilton is about 15 minutes from the airport with van pick-up. There was no bell person and the registration person was bland. His recommendation for a late night meal was lame (The Cactus Club) as were his replies to other queries (where can we get an early breakfast, etc.). The room was nice and quiet but unbelievably cramped. There was barely room to turn around in the sitting area, bathroom and bedroom. All in all this was not a value but rather an overpriced place to sleep. It was actually 2+ at best.”

• Nice junior executive suites, well decorated. A lot of potential.
• Poor ventilation. Two non-smoking rooms we tried smelled smoky and were musty. Poor ventilation.

“We walked into our non-smoking room and smelled cigarette smoke right away. We rang the front desk and asked for a different room. They were a bit surprised that it would smell since the smoking floor was to be 13 stories away on the 15th floor (while we were on the 2nd). They did quickly move us to another room. This room had the same smell. After a long drive up, we decided to call it quits and stick it out in the room. It was very uncomfortable for me and I worried about my little 6 month old. The room, however, was spacious, had nice furniture, and a lot of potential.”

• The front desk staff was extremely friendly and allowed us to check-in at 10:30am.
• The room was a little small and the lighting was extremely dim.

• Location and service is fine. Easy to access to other major location.
• Parking is not convenient although there is a parking building. I get a ticket due to the misconduct of the staff in hotel. Anyway they take it later.

• Remote from everywhere, overpriced.

“Negative - The hotel is older and the rooms are small. There is no pool or hot tub and only a very small workout area. There is a fair amount of traffic noise as well. I am not sure this is a 3 star hotel, maybe a 2+. Positive - Full restaurant and pub on site, good parking, nice staff, and higher speed on internet when using dial-up.”
