“Good downtown location; large room with comfortable bed.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Brian from Ottawa, ON CA
“The Delta Montreal is a very nice hotel. It was very convenient for my stay as it is just down the block from Place Des Arts. The Subway (metro) is also just a few blocks away. The area felt quite safe at night. The room and bathroom was quite spacious as compared to other 3-4 star hotels I've stayed in. Having a balcony in the summer months is also a bonus. They gave me a room right beside the elevator. No problem for me as I'm quite a heavy sleeper but for sometime it may be a problem. Also right next door to me there was some sort of power room. It constantly hummed. Again, I'm a heavy sleeper and one could claim it was white noise but it was there. Despite all that I'd be quite pleased to stay at the Delta Montreal again.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Aaron from Tottenham, ON CA
“A great deal for a great hotel in a great location! Would come back again!” Jul 2, 2008 by
Joe from Ocean, NJ
“I've stayed here before and I like this hotel. The location is great, couldn't ask for more. Rooms and lobby are really clean. I would definitely stay here again.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Rose from Houston, TX
“This hotel is nice; however it does need to be updated. The balcony was pretty filthy and the room needed a little extra cleaning care. The staff was really customer friendly and was appreciated.” May 30, 2008 by
Paul from Spring Valley, NY
“This is a lovely hotel, definitely a three star hotel. The pool was quite nice if a little small. The staff was attentive and I got a lovely room. I'd definitely stay there again.” May 30, 2008 by
Abby from Kitchener, ON CA
“The hotel has a fabulous fitness center that includes weights and cardio equipment, racquetball court and indoor pool. During my visit I was even able to take advantage of water aerobics class. Hotel staff was professional and friendly.” May 28, 2008 by
Kim from Peru, NY
“Very nice, worth the price--felt like was classy.” May 24, 2008 by
Anne from Kitchener, ON CA
“We were very happy with the whole experience. It's convenient to downtown. Our kids enjoyed the fitness room and swimming pool. Beautiful decor, friendly staff, the room was fantastic, very spacious, and had a balcony, big comfy duvets on the beds.” May 22, 2008 by
Mera N. from Houston, TX
“Be aware of this hotel, as it is undergoing construction. During check in they offer to upgrade to 'Deluxe non-smoking' room at 20 CAD/night. I think this is their ploy to get you to cough more. Parking is pricey, but if you are on weekend trip, street parking comes out cheaper.” May 15, 2008 by
Daniel from Toronto Ontario Canada, CA
“I reduced the rating for the room and cleanliness because the hotel gave me a smoking room for the first night of my stay. That room was horribly smelly, as was the whole floor. However, the helpful front desk told me I could get a non-smoking room the next day (2nd of my stay), and I did without problem.” May 13, 2008 by
Navpreet from Chelmsford, MA
“1. Hidden expense of parking. I was told the hotel will not validate the parking ticket and I will need to pay $22.50 extra for parking. Over and above the charges for the room! This is the first time I have heard this from any hotel. If I rent a room, where will the car stay? In all other hotels I have used, even in downtown of major metros. I have never had to pay for hotel parking. This was a big let down and was clearly a hidden expense. I was not informed about it earlier. 2. Paid Internet. Most of the places now a day, even the roadside motels, offer free internet access, but not Delta. I am sure there are other room types for which this service must be offered free of charge, but it is beyond me to understand what extra cost a hotel will have to bear to provide this service to all rooms. 3. No wireless internet. Who does not have wireless internet now a days? Grannies living in remotest places are getting used to wireless internet. I must confess, this is the first hotel I have seen in a long time which had no wireless internet, even when there was wired internet available. How much does a wireless router cost now a days?” Apr 30, 2008 by
Eva from Redding, CT
“This was a nice place with helpful staff. the room was clean and spacious and the balcony was nice to have. some areas where a little run down. location was perfect for us as we where visiting McGill.” Apr 25, 2008 by
Laurie G. from Rockton, ON CA
“For comfort and class the Delta Montreal met all our needs. The service was prompt and friendly. The rooms were spacious with a balcony. All hotel staff were able to help us with our tourist questions and direct us to someone within the organization to find us our answers. The services and amenities within the hotel were superb.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Kieran from Scarborough, ON CA
“Overall a decent place to stay, the main lobby is clean & gives the hotel a better image than the rooms. The room we stayed in was fine, but we had a few small issues. First off the TV was stained & very small for us, they only provided us with 1 dressing gown; the shower head was loose & would be better served with a proper head. Things that we liked, the balcony had a nice view, the small complimentary coffee machine was good enough & we managed to use it twice in 2 days. The newspaper provided on Saturday was a nice touch, although none on Sunday? The king sized bed was very comfortable. It is a 3-star hotel, could of been better but overall it was a fine place to stay.” Apr 10, 2008 by
Maxim from Tenafly, NJ
“Very nice hotel. In the middle of all the action, with excellent staff and great room and service.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Brian from Mississauga, ON CA
“Excellent value hotel.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Shawn from Monroe, CT
“This hotel did not quite meet my expectations of a 3 star hotel. The parking garage was a mess with construction crews and equipment all over and horrible chemical fumes in the garage and the hotel lobby. The room itself wasn't too bad, comfortable and spacious but the decor was outdated and the bathroom very bland and poorly lit.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Eric from Stratford, PE CA
“Last time I booked Delta Montreal on Pres Kennedy they said they only have smoking room and I need to pay $25 per night to upgrade to a non smoking room. I did it last time. They also required me to pay in order to upgrade to a non smoking room. I called Delta on the day I booked the room, which is at least a month before my trip to request a non-smoking room, but they said they could not guarantee that. And I did not get a non smoking room. Delta is horrible doing that to me again. I stayed at Holiday Inn before and they are great, free internet access, free local call. We don't even get any points for our stay. Just because it's a cheap room doesn't mean that they can treat their regular customers like that.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Emad from Nepean, ON CA
“Great hotel everyone is friendly, clean and I had a great trip!” Mar 26, 2008 by
James K. from Saint John, NB CA
“Really needs some upgrading; elevators are slow, looking tatty; the carpets look worn.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Yvette E. from New York, NY
“The hotel is great. It is a fabulous location, nice food, good pool. My only problem was the nasty attitude of the front desk check in woman.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Eddie from Ottawa, ON CA
“Great location, only steps away from the Place des Arts metro station and Sainte Catherine's street. Clean, cheerful, and comfortable rooms.” Mar 21, 2008 by
Joy from E. Sandwich, MA
“In the heart of Montreal, The Delta is the place to stay! Excellent service, beautiful rooms, a great sleep on the most comfortable bed! Hotel and rooms so clean, roomy and elegant! Loved our experience!” Mar 20, 2008 by
Julien from Pincourt, QC CA
“Friendly staff. Great Hotel.” Mar 20, 2008 by
Samantha from Rochester, NY
“Overall excellent experience would have been nice to be allowed to enjoy a drink by the pool. Only two computers in little business area, so if people is waiting or kids online playing games youre out of luck to get online. Very clean, restaurant excellent and staff friendly and helpful.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Lawrence from Toronto, ON CA
“It is a decent hotel with very helpful staffs and with prompt service. Room is big, clean bathroom and nice size.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Jorge from Baldwin Park, CA
“The lobby is beautiful; the staff is friendly, and the location offers easy access to nightlife. Unfortunately the room was warn and needed to be remodeled or retired. Parking was $22.50/night. Other than that my experience was ok. I would recommend it to friends.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Francois N. from Levis, QC CA
“Near Downtown, with a swimming pool, clean, the people were friendly.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Aaron from Plattsburgh, NY
“This hotel was ok compared to other hotels that I have stayed at in Montreal. I've recently stayed at the Hyatt and the Sheraton, and now the Delta. The Hyatt was maybe the nicest of the three as far as room conditions and lobby. They all had there ups and downs, and I would stay at any of them again. The Hyatt is great cause of the really nice rooms and cheap underground parking at the mall on weekends. The Sheraton was great because of the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and its the closest to the nightlife. The Delta was also good cause it was the cheapest of the three and you get your own personal balcony. The staff was really friendly, and the pool and hot tub was great. The bed wasn't super comfortable, and the room just wasn't as nice as other places like the Hyatt and Sheraton. For the price I paid, I would stay here again.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Marin from North Plainfield, NJ
“The room, while not huge, provided a cozy place to lay your head with bed pillows and a down comforter as soft as clouds.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Andrew from Markham, ON CA
“Good location (2 minute walk to McGill Station). No great restaurants in the area but walk 5-7 minutes and you'll find some. Staff was friendly and helpful, business center has only 2 computers which were usually occupied. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Victoria from Kingston, ON CA
“I have to say that Eduardo at the front desk was always kind and very nice when it came to asking something of the hotel.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Darren from Vancouver, BC CA
“Received more than my expectation.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Penny from Sherbrooke, QC CA
“Good location, but room need update.” Mar 4, 2008 by
David from Lewiston, ME
“Very good hotel.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Adriana from Waterbury, VT
“It is a great hotel in the heart of Montreal. Walking distance to shopping and entertainment. Excellent hotel.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Matt from Silver Spring, MD
“A good hotel very conveniently located near metro and cultural venues. Pleasant staff and service. Food is good but overpriced.” Feb 27, 2008 by
Robert from Ottawa, ON CA
“The Delta Hotel was nice and friendly. My only complaint as I said was the room I had was extremely cold.” Feb 26, 2008 by
Niomi from Montreal, QC CA
“Good customer service, clean hotel. Room service for regular rooms was slower and it did not have any cotton swabs. I think the customer service should be equal to whatever of quality room you have because we saw the difference in one night in a normal room and another night in the signature club room.” Feb 24, 2008 by
Jayne from Sault Ste. Marie, ON CA
“The difference in the non-smoking and non-smoking rooms was apparent. Wallpaper starting to peel, chair thread worn, carpet showed wear. Not as crisp. Service was very good, very helpful, and pleasant. Rooms good size and nice set up.” Feb 22, 2008 by
Hasina from Ajax, ON CA
“The concierge was fabulous and the staff was friendly. The room had mud stains on it but the rest was great. Our friends room unfortunately did not have a working shower and bath tub so that wasn't too good.” Feb 22, 2008 by
Nafiz from Kingston, ON CA
“It is in a nice location. It has private floors which may be attractive to some. The Hotel staff try their best to accommodate your needs.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Hans from Toronto, ON CA
“Overall a good hotel; great location in Downtown Montreal near McGill; friendly and helpful staff; public spaces more attractive than rooms.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Kim from Lasalle, QC CA
“Huge rooms. The first time we stayed the bed was horrible, but this time it was quite comfortable. The buffet was impressive, but paying for parking ($22.50) is annoying. If you have to stay Downtown, it's in an excellent location. If you don't, it's not worth the extra money for parking.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Jl from Ashfield, MA
“Well-situated hotel in the heart of Downtown. Convenient underground parking below hotel for $22/day. Very nice pool, spa, squash courts ($) and exercise room. Room was very spacious with quality furnishings and a small terrace. Staff was pleasant and professional. We had a nice stay and would return.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Devin from Etobicoke, ON CA
“I would definitely go and stay at this hotel again.” Jan 22, 2008 by
Michael from Peacham, VT
“The hotel was generally very nice, but I would never recommend it. I have stayed many times in the Montreal area, and have always had very positive experiences until now. I booked two rooms, and when I arrived I was told that I had to pay a $20 surcharge for a non-smoking room. It seems like they accepted my offer, then added the surcharge after the fact to boost my bid after my offer was accepted. They also have discounts for their restaurant that didn't help their cause, as I went to use it, and was told it was only good for another time of the day. I hate promos that have restrictions or make a customer jump thru hoops. It didn't get me to go back--and I tossed the coupons. Offer poorly explained by front desk upon presentation. The restaurant was slow and it was the first time I've ever had lousy coffee in Montreal! This place has very high regular rates, and their are a number of fine hotels in Montreal that I would rank much higher that this place.” Jan 17, 2008 by
Steve from Windsor, ON CA
“Clean hotel in a good downtown location. Would stay again. If you don't upgrade into the bigger, fancier room, internet is not included. Had a problem with hot water, but was resolved, just had to run the hot water before the shower. A little inconvenient, hopefully they fix the problem soon. Friendly staff, most are bilingual.” Jan 9, 2008 by
Amy from Hillsborough, NC
“Delta Montreal has a great location, and the appointments of the "premier room" in which we stayed were very nice. However, we were originally assigned a smoking room, and were told that if we wanted a non-smoking room it would cost an extra 20 dollars. We checked both rooms, and saw that the smoking room was not as nicely appointed, and the bed sagged in the middle. However, the more expensive room was wonderful, especially by comparison. Very nice bed, linens, toiletries, and very spacious. It was worth the extra 20 to stay in this room, but I felt they had misrepresented themselves with the original price.” Hotel Representatives:
