• The location was great. It was centrally located only 2 blocks from Ste. Catherine St.
• When we got there, they were out of rooms with King size beds. They charged us $17.94/day to park in the garage.

“Overall the hotel was good. The room was standard even though we upgraded to a Premium room for another $10/night. Parking in the garage was very convenient but expensive ($17.94/night). They also charged for the newspaper they sent to the room. The lobby was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Walking from the hotel was great. Everything was so close. It was only 2 blocks from the most popular streets in Montreal.”

• I liked the fact that our room had its own balcony.
• The staff made no attempt to make a connection with the guest.

“When arriving at the hotel there were no bellman to help with our luggage so we had to take care of our bags on our own from the parking garage to the lobby and again from the lobby to the room after checking in. The Signature Club was okay as a private three floor area for guests with decent rooms on the top levels of the hotel and accompanied by a private lounge which featured complimentary continental breakfast each morning as well as an hors d'ouerve hour each evening. The Signature Club may sound good, however, the lobby bar had hors d'ouerves each night which were also complimentary and theirs were of better quality than those of the club. Lastly, in each hotel room there is a one hundred percent guarantee of guest satisfaction that nothing in the room has been overlooked or the first night of the guests stay is on the hotel. Upon arriving in our room the housekeeping department had failed to notice that several bottles in the room's minibar had been emptied from a previous guests stay and never replenished and therefore I would have been charged for the oversight. After bringing this and other oversights to the hotels attention they never followed through with their guarantee.”

• Staff is very friendly and helpful.
• Water in shower was extremely hot and could not be controlled.

“This hotel is in a great location and has large and well decorated rooms. In addition, the facilities are very nice, we enjoyed massages at the spa, a workout in the fitness center and several drinks in the lounge. All staff went above and beyond their duties to answer our questions and recommend restaurants and shopping.”

• Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.
• The pool was not supervised and there were several drunk young men in the pool, one was even sick in the pool. Therefore pool was not clean.

• The hotel offered free internet and other business services for free.
• There were only a small supply of soaps and toothbrush already in the room during check in.

“All the facilities within the hotel were convenient in location, and adequate in service. The staff were professional and courteous. The all day unlimited parking ticket issued by the hotel didn't work at times, and required a call to the facility management company to permit exiting the parking lot. The rooms are large and furnished well. The initial non smoking room had scents of smoke and a leak in the bathroom floor, but these were quickly remedied by a change of room.”

• The location is very good.
• They tried to overcharge me on tips of room service. When I complained they act like it was my fall.

“I would recommend at 80.00. Don't believe that is worth the regular price. The room is nice but that are major problems with the operation. Ice machines not in all floors, vending machines also in some floors only and do not accept cash or coins, only tokens that you have to get at the lobby, but they do not tell you in advance. (?) Pool closes at 9 pm.(?)”

“The hotel has a big hotel feel but once you walk in you realize this is just a 2 star hotel. We didn't want to touch anything in the room - that is how dirty it felt. Sure enough my roommate found an extra pillow case on the bed and when she threw it on the floor a condom that must have went through the wash fell on the floor too! Just gross but not really surprising. The reason we didn't really complain was because we only slept in this hotel and for only one night - we were in and out.”

“The hotel was in a nice central location. It was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was hard as a rock, and the hot tub was lukewarm. The hotel restaurant was overpriced, and the continental breakfast was only available to those guests that had paid more for their room. Overall, I would stay there again.”

“Room is small, though is reasonably clean. The hotel only give me a smoking room, and can't change to non-smoking (even though it doesn't seem to be fully occupied). Staff promised to clean the room from smoking odor, but never did. Other than the smoke odor, overall stay is good.”

“I had a very nice stay in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable and the housekeeping was meticulous. Valet parking for downtown Montreal was convenient and not that expensive. St. Catherine's shopping was 2 blocks away and a grocery store with bakery was less than 5 minutes walking distance. Overall I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.”

• I've stayed at the Hotel before and was glad to be there.
• The carpeting in the hallway on the 10th Floor was rippling. I know it to be better on floors 20 and above.

“The Hotel is centrally located to some of the best shopping in Montreal. It's a very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and a lovely restaurant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and I always get a great night's sleep when I stay there.”

“The Delta Montreal on Rue President Kennedy (there is a second Delta southwest of this location) is located perfectly for exploring the downtown areas of the city. It is located between two subway stations. The staff were all very nice and handled all the small problems that can occur with great aplomb and humor. The hotel has a very nice restaurant, excellent room service and a relaxing bar. My room was quite nice. The environmental control were the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Even my traveling companion, an HVAC engineer, was impressed. The beds were very comfortable. I knocked off a couple points for the dirty balcony area, and the claustrophobic and slightly costly parking garage. Overall, it was a 4-star experience.”

• The location was great and accessible to the downtown core
• Not happy with the customer service. they need a specific person to deal with complaints to follow up. had to complain 3 times until I was looked after.

“Overall, it was ok. location was great. customer service was alright, but we had to complain 3 times and not until the next day when we got to change rooms. There was no one follow up with our problem. no kiss and ride for drop off. access to parking was cramped and inconvenient to a separate and single elevator. parking was expensive. rooms were inconsistent. we ordered 2 rooms at the same price and received 2 differents rooms with one missing a few things such as a balcony and chairs.”

• The parking garage can only support a 6 foot tall vehicle.

“The room was clean, but it was small. Our stay at the hotel was for 2 nights in February, and sometime during the middle of the night on the 1st night, the heater shut itself off so we ended up waking up in the middle of the night very cold. Also, the rooms are not very sound proof so we were woken up again throughout the night because of loud talking and noise from surrounding rooms. During the 2nd night's stay, we were awakened in the middle of the night by people grunting, talking loudly, and bashing the walls with their fists. I will say however, that the security staff were up momentarily after calling down to the reception desk to advise them of the activities of some of their guests. After security left the floor, other noise from surrounding rooms went on 'til approx. 5 am.”

“The Delta Montreal has a good location, close to shopping and most attractions. The facilities were generally disappointing for a three star and there were extensive renovations going on, so no ice machine, floors ripped up etc. Soda machine was out of order, the shower was lousy and the walls were paper thin. Whoever was the bright spark who put a couple away for a weekend next to a team of 18 yr old hockey players should be fired. Despite repeated requests to be moved, staff did nothing about the noise that lasted until 6 am... Definitely not recommended”

“I've gotten this same hotel 4 or 5 times in Montreal now. It seems like they've been under permanent renovation in the past 3 years, as there have been construction signs up every time I've been there. The rooms remain bland with 2-star furniture, thermostats that don't seem to be on the cold side (in winter), and a 27" TV placed 15 feet from the bed. When I checked in, the room they gave me was stinky and unclean, and 4 hours later after check-in, the maids had packed up and gone home without touching it. After complaining, I got a new room (an upgraded suite) and a ticket for free breakfast, which was useless given that I had already made plans elsewhere. Summary: great location, but their renovation plans should focus on the rooms, not the halls. ”
