• Its Location was the best thing.
• The parking cost was too high, we had close by parking at 20-30% less cost. There were some guests for whom the parking cost was covered.

• Great location. Lovely Sunday Brunch with no charge for children. Friendly staff.
• The key machine was not working so we had to contact the front desk every time we wanted to enter or leave the hotel. No compensation offered.

“This hotel is centrally located. The staff is very friendly and helped us out a lot with maps and directions. The parking was expensive at $21 per day and the underground lot is very hard to maneuver if you have a larger vehicle. Very comfortable room with an oversize bathroom. We couldn't find a room service menu although room service is offered. ”

• Convenient to the Metro Transportation.
• Had to switch rooms first room had bad water pressure in shower and had to pay daily for garage parking.

“Clean and the people were friendly. Nice accommodations (exercise room and pool). Convenient location. Don't bring a large pickup truck will not fit easily in the garage parking structure due to a low overhang. Plan on spending $21 a day for parking your vehicle in the garage.”

“The Delta Hotel was great!! Very clean, right downtown and a short walk to all central attractions. Friendly staff and great facilities. My only complaint was that I had to pay additional for parking (whopping $21 for just one day). Also, the parking garage was under partial reconstruction and we could "feel" the pounding sound of a concrete masher in our room (on the 10th floor) early on a Saturday morning.”

“Appearances can be deceiving!!! Beautiful lobby and restaurant area but the room was tiny. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbor peeing. The hallways look old and decrepit. This is NOT a three star hotel. Maybe 2 1/2 at best.”

• Perfect location and excellent service for the price we got.
• Security was hassling us about making the littlest noises and followed us around the entire weekend even though we complied directly to their standards.

“Very good service, Good location for the price we got. I would stay at this hotel every time I go to Montreal if I get it. The security was a little silently in hassling and consistently monitoring our room. He complained for the littlest noise even though we were completely reasonable and complied aggressively to the hotel requirements.”

“Extremely disappointed in the room, outdated furniture, broken door knobs, washroom was nothing great. Balcony was very dingy looking, cracks in the cement everywhere. TV reception was not clear at all.”

• Clean room, close to convention center and city center.
• Although, it was clean the room was dated, furniture banged up with someone's initials written in permanent marker on the bedside table.

“This hotel was just 3 blocks from the main shopping district. For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet and clean. Overall this was a good place to stay for the money, but it was definitely not a 3 star (upscale) hotel. The furniture was dated, beds stiff and there was minor graffiti on some of the furniture.”

• I liked the location and the gym. The spa and pool and sauna need some work.
• The furniture in the rooms and windows are very dated and showing wear and not efficient.

“This Delta is not as high standards as one I frequently visit in Ottawa, Ontario. However it was great value in this instance and served my purpose. Except the ridiculous 21 dollars a night for parking, you can park anywhere else overnight or daily in that region for 8-12 dollars!”

• The staff was helpful and the lobby was very nice.
• The rooms are a little run down. The heating unit was loud enough to wake the dead.

“It looks as if it were quite nice in its day, but the rooms have become a little worn. The only thing that nearly ruined my stay was that whenever the heating unit came on, it woke me up.”

• The Concierge was very helpful, they had 2 computers available for internet use wish easy availability.
• The room are a little spare with no pictures on the wall, the blankets were a little thin and worn but definitely clean.

“The staff at the hotel were very friendly, they offered us a early check-in and late check-out as well to accommodated our travel plans. Great location, two blocks from Metro walking distance to many downtown locations. Good restaurant for dinner, nice bar lounge with TV for sports.”

• It had a secure underground parking lot.
• The Bellman did not say a friendly hi or bye.

“This hotel is modern and clean with all the features needed to make our stay enjoyable. Although we did not have time to swim, the indoor pool looked great for kids or adult swimmers. We noticed a nice looking spa, a rental car office and a very adequate work out facility along with two squash courts. Our room was very clean and was large enough for the four of us. A pretty central and easy downtown location, but bring a map!”

• The location to downtown Montreal was perfect, clean, nice rooms, although cigarette smoke could be detected.
• The hot tub could use improvement, the jets were extremely weak.

“Very clean, spacious rooms. Mostly all accommodations met (requested a fan in the room, hotel didn't have one). Fitness center was clean and plenty of equipment. Employees very helpful with directions, sightseeing, calling a taxi, etc. Hotel was very quiet, didn't hear much from hallways or other rooms. Definitely would stay there again.”

• This hotel needs a major renovation. Everything in the room looked old, but clean.

“Delta Montreal is a couple of streets off St. Catherine Street, and is conveniently located. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room, although it needs a major update, was quite large and very clean.”

• Great workout room and pool and racket ball court, free for guests, BUG parking.
• Many ice and soda machines out of service on the floors.

“A good location, a few blocks from downtown Hotspots. Private balcony is very nice when in season. Underground parking at the hotel is very convenient. Internet access in rooms are via Ethernet cable provided, wireless isn't throughout hotel. Our room on the 11th floor had terrible water pressure. Very happy with the pool, hot tub, sauna, exercise room (lots of equipment and 1 racket ball court. Tokens needed from lobby for soda machines on the floors which is inconvenient, also many ice machine and soda machines were not working. Cleaning person didn't refill all of the coffee and bathroom products and we had to ask the desk for more.”

• Professional, Friendly Staff. Pool. Gym. Free use of internet in business center.
• Expensive Parking $20 CAD.

“Spacious rooms, the hotel is set up for business travellers. The staff is friendly and courteous. Location is central to downtown attractions. Parking is relatively expensive at $20 CAD, but you can come in and out as many times you want. We'd problem with the heat in our room, and the hotel promply moved us to another room. Factor in Parking 15% Taxes standard in Canada in your hotel room price. There is a Bank of Montreal on St. Catherine Street, couple of blocks from the hotel, where one can use the ATM to withdraw equivalent Canadian Dollars from one's bank account, rather than going to expensive currency exchange places.”

“Delta Montreal is well situated for walking to downtown locations including the Museum of Fine Arts and Place des Arts. There is a nice bar on the mezzanine level for relaxation and the restaurant has an excellent breakfast menu. The staff were friendly and helpful.”

• It was located in the centre of downtown, the staff was extremely friendly.
• The way the breakfast buffet is set up with part served inside and part served outside the restaurant.

“The hotel is very well maintained. The room was very nice and comfortable. The newspaper delivered to your door in the morning is a very nice touch. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Despite the fact that our reservation could not be found they did not give us any trouble especially since I had printed my copy off of the computer.”

• The location was great. It was centrally located only 2 blocks from Ste. Catherine St.
• When we got there, they were out of rooms with King size beds. They charged us $17.94/day to park in the garage.

“Overall the hotel was good. The room was standard even though we upgraded to a Premium room for another $10/night. Parking in the garage was very convenient but expensive ($17.94/night). They also charged for the newspaper they sent to the room. The lobby was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Walking from the hotel was great. Everything was so close. It was only 2 blocks from the most popular streets in Montreal.”

• I liked the fact that our room had its own balcony.
• The staff made no attempt to make a connection with the guest.

“When arriving at the hotel there were no bellman to help with our luggage so we had to take care of our bags on our own from the parking garage to the lobby and again from the lobby to the room after checking in. The Signature Club was okay as a private three floor area for guests with decent rooms on the top levels of the hotel and accompanied by a private lounge which featured complimentary continental breakfast each morning as well as an hors d'ouerve hour each evening. The Signature Club may sound good, however, the lobby bar had hors d'ouerves each night which were also complimentary and theirs were of better quality than those of the club. Lastly, in each hotel room there is a one hundred percent guarantee of guest satisfaction that nothing in the room has been overlooked or the first night of the guests stay is on the hotel. Upon arriving in our room the housekeeping department had failed to notice that several bottles in the room's minibar had been emptied from a previous guests stay and never replenished and therefore I would have been charged for the oversight. After bringing this and other oversights to the hotels attention they never followed through with their guarantee.”

• Water in shower was extremely hot and could not be controlled.

“This hotel is in a great location and has large and well decorated rooms. In addition, the facilities are very nice, we enjoyed massages at the spa, a workout in the fitness center and several drinks in the lounge. All staff went above and beyond their duties to answer our questions and recommend restaurants and shopping.”

• The pool was not supervised and there were several drunk young men in the pool, one was even sick in the pool. Therefore pool was not clean.
