• Overall location is great. As it is in the middle of downtown Montreal.
• The only draw back would be the bed set.

“Overall highly recommended hotel. The price was right and the hotel is located in a great area in Montreal. The parking garage is a big plus. It allows the driver in and out access with the parking fee.”

• The location, the lobby, free Internet in the business center, and the staff are the best are what I liked about the hotel.
• The rooms are average; my room at a two and a half star had a better appearance, just not as spacious.

“This hotel is in an excellent location i.e. close to entertainment and shopping. The rooms are nothing to write home to mom about. The staff is friendly and does whatever it takes to ensure you have a pleasant stay. My expectations may be higher than most because I travel extensively and my opinion may be influenced by other hotels.”

• Great location, spacious rooms, fitness center and indoor pool.
• The room, while spacious, looked very bare and was not nicely decorated, the beds were not of the quality that you usually expect.

“This hotel is well located. However, the quality of the room was a little below what I expect. The room was very spacious by the standards of modern hotels, however, there was no decoration whatsoever in this very large room, which made it look very bare. The bedding was also more motel, and one of the bed sheets was very thinned out and had a hole or two. The TV set was also very small for the size of the room. The room was clean, as were the public areas, and parking is conveniently located in an underground garage below the hotel. The daily parking rate is expensive, though. ”

• The room size was quite large and the bench on the balcony, a nice touch.
• $25 for parking. $12 for internet.

“This hotel is located quite centrally and has spacious rooms. Our room came with a king size bath and a bench on the balcony. However, I did not appreciate their charge of $12 for internet use and laughed at them wanting $25 for parking. My advice is just park on the street and bring a laptop for wifi.”

• Too much noise in adjoining room till 0230 hours. Should have called security but did not.

• Hotel is good to stay with family. It is in down town all good shops and other facilities are near by this hotel. Hotel staff is professional.
• They asked for parking charges($21 per night). Food is expensive.

“This is a very good hotel. It managed professionally. We enjoyed our stay and could walk down to shopping malls. The location is very good. Staff is friendly. Hotel is clean and safe. Room service was good. Next time I will prefer to stay in this hotel. Thanks.”

• Very spacious. great location. offered us 2 high floor rooms. very friendly.
• A little bit outdated.

“Room is very spacious, beyond our expectations. The room has a wide living area, large bath room. Great for family traveler with younger children. We have thought Delta would assign us a 2nd or 3rd floor as other people said so. However, we've being offered 2 high floor rooms, 1 on 20th floor, another one on 14th floor. Staffs are very friendly. Great value.”

• They canceled my booking even though I informed them I would be arriving a day late, so I got a smoking room

“No in-room Internet via TV and business way to small, so not much good unless you have your own computer with you. Obviously no communication between reservations staff and front desk. Lack of food options, especially for a quick breakfast.”

• Location was good and the staff was nice.
• Poorly furnished rooms was bad mattresses.

“The Montreal Delta Hotel is clearly a 2 star hotel. The 3.5 star rating is incorrect. Having 20 year old furniture in a hotel room is not acceptable. No pictures on the walls, not acceptable. Stains on the carpet, not acceptable. I can keep going. We did not have a good experience.”

• The Entrance has no elegant looking.
• It would be nice if the hotel offers breakfast included.

• Our first room has a cigar smell although it is a non-smoking room.

“Everything is fine, but our first room has a cigar smell, so we go to the front desk and people there are friendly. Finally we upgrade into another room with a $15 upgrade fee.”

• I had a bad experience, in the morning just wake up and started to make my coffee I step on sorting sharp and got scared, I grab instinctively the Frau.

• construction next to hotel and very small underground parking lot.

“Decent hotel with all the essential amenities. Staff was very friendly and concierge was resourceful and knowledgeable of local area. Lobby and hallways were very nice. rooms were fairly large and clean.”

• Its Location was the best thing.
• The parking cost was too high, we had close by parking at 20-30% less cost. There were some guests for whom the parking cost was covered.

• Great location. Lovely Sunday Brunch with no charge for children. Friendly staff.
• The key machine was not working so we had to contact the front desk every time we wanted to enter or leave the hotel. No compensation offered.

“This hotel is centrally located. The staff is very friendly and helped us out a lot with maps and directions. The parking was expensive at $21 per day and the underground lot is very hard to maneuver if you have a larger vehicle. Very comfortable room with an oversize bathroom. We couldn't find a room service menu although room service is offered. ”

• Convenient to the Metro Transportation.
• Had to switch rooms first room had bad water pressure in shower and had to pay daily for garage parking.

“Clean and the people were friendly. Nice accommodations (exercise room and pool). Convenient location. Don't bring a large pickup truck will not fit easily in the garage parking structure due to a low overhang. Plan on spending $21 a day for parking your vehicle in the garage.”

“The Delta Hotel was great!! Very clean, right downtown and a short walk to all central attractions. Friendly staff and great facilities. My only complaint was that I had to pay additional for parking (whopping $21 for just one day). Also, the parking garage was under partial reconstruction and we could "feel" the pounding sound of a concrete masher in our room (on the 10th floor) early on a Saturday morning.”

“Appearances can be deceiving!!! Beautiful lobby and restaurant area but the room was tiny. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbor peeing. The hallways look old and decrepit. This is NOT a three star hotel. Maybe 2 1/2 at best.”

• Perfect location and excellent service for the price we got.
• Security was hassling us about making the littlest noises and followed us around the entire weekend even though we complied directly to their standards.

“Very good service, Good location for the price we got. I would stay at this hotel every time I go to Montreal if I get it. The security was a little silently in hassling and consistently monitoring our room. He complained for the littlest noise even though we were completely reasonable and complied aggressively to the hotel requirements.”

• Clean room, close to convention center and city center.
• Although, it was clean the room was dated, furniture banged up with someone's initials written in permanent marker on the bedside table.

“This hotel was just 3 blocks from the main shopping district. For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet and clean. Overall this was a good place to stay for the money, but it was definitely not a 3 star (upscale) hotel. The furniture was dated, beds stiff and there was minor graffiti on some of the furniture.”

• I liked the location and the gym. The spa and pool and sauna need some work.
• The furniture in the rooms and windows are very dated and showing wear and not efficient.

“This Delta is not as high standards as one I frequently visit in Ottawa, Ontario. However it was great value in this instance and served my purpose. Except the ridiculous 21 dollars a night for parking, you can park anywhere else overnight or daily in that region for 8-12 dollars!”

• The staff was helpful and the lobby was very nice.
• The rooms are a little run down. The heating unit was loud enough to wake the dead.

“It looks as if it were quite nice in its day, but the rooms have become a little worn. The only thing that nearly ruined my stay was that whenever the heating unit came on, it woke me up.”

• The Concierge was very helpful, they had 2 computers available for internet use wish easy availability.
• The room are a little spare with no pictures on the wall, the blankets were a little thin and worn but definitely clean.

“The staff at the hotel were very friendly, they offered us a early check-in and late check-out as well to accommodated our travel plans. Great location, two blocks from Metro walking distance to many downtown locations. Good restaurant for dinner, nice bar lounge with TV for sports.”

• It had a secure underground parking lot.
• The Bellman did not say a friendly hi or bye.

“This hotel is modern and clean with all the features needed to make our stay enjoyable. Although we did not have time to swim, the indoor pool looked great for kids or adult swimmers. We noticed a nice looking spa, a rental car office and a very adequate work out facility along with two squash courts. Our room was very clean and was large enough for the four of us. A pretty central and easy downtown location, but bring a map!”

• The location to downtown Montreal was perfect, clean, nice rooms, although cigarette smoke could be detected.
• The hot tub could use improvement, the jets were extremely weak.

“Very clean, spacious rooms. Mostly all accommodations met (requested a fan in the room, hotel didn't have one). Fitness center was clean and plenty of equipment. Employees very helpful with directions, sightseeing, calling a taxi, etc. Hotel was very quiet, didn't hear much from hallways or other rooms. Definitely would stay there again.”

• This hotel needs a major renovation. Everything in the room looked old, but clean.

“Delta Montreal is a couple of streets off St. Catherine Street, and is conveniently located. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room, although it needs a major update, was quite large and very clean.”

“Located near the Mac Gill subway station and only a 10 minute walk from the central train station. Very close to the main shopping district. Very large room and bathrooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Modern, clean and free Internet access.”
