• Staff was very eager to help.
• Wished the restaurant had a light breakfast instead of the full buffet.

“The hotel was pleasant enough, but missed a few amenities that I used to having in my room such as a microwave, small refrigerator and safe. The staff was very helpful and polite.”

• Very close (walking distance) to all the Montreal night spots.
• The pool on the top floor was always closed when we wanted to use it (10 AM-4 PM).

“Great location (right next to the Holiday Inn and Sheraton 4 Points), easy to walk to all the bars and restaurants, nice pool, nice view. Great cheap place to stay in the middle of Montreal. Parking was reasonable too.”

“It is fine just to go and sleep and leave. It was not really a good feeling as staying at Marriot name. Entrance and hallways should be attractive to walk through. Any how it is ok.”

• Small bathrooms.

“Room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very small, but clean and well stocked with towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. The staff was wonderful, very courteous and helpful/knowledgeable of the area. Even after check-out, we were allowed to leave our car at the hotel (until 5pm) and see the sights.”

• Room was small, outdated and felt cheap.

“The "city view" was dismal, with a view of back alleys and rooftops. I don't think I have seen a smaller TV in a hotel room recently. Thank goodness the location was great because you wouldn't want to spend any time in the hotel. Staff was friendly.”

• I loved the staff. They were friendly and very helpful.
• The tub was clogged and the room was old and tiny.

“This hotel is seriously overdue for a rehab. There was construction taking place on either side of the building. My stay was seriously effected by the fact that my tub was clogged and the water pressure was pretty much non-existent.”

• Valet parking only $19+tax a night.

“Overall this is a nice average hotel near downtown Montreal. Room appeared clean and was quiet through the night. We did not use the club, pool or dining as I only stayed one night? Only parking available is street or valet at $19 + tax per night. People behind counter spoke both French and English, and were polite.”

• Clean hotel.
• Did not allow any visitors past lobby, overcharges calls.

“The manager of this hotel is probably the worst manager ever. I was charged for three calls that I never made for a total of $5. The numbers the hotel listed were not even real numbers that exist to outside connections. The manager was rude and said he could charge for whatever he wanted. The staff also refuses to allow any visitors inside the hotel (even if they are only coming up for 15 minutes to visit your room). Also no clean towels were left and the room was not cleaned for 2 days. I would definitely
not recommend the Marriott Courtyard in Montreal.”

• The price was the greatest, the location exactly where I wanted, and was super for a 2 1/2 star hotel.
• Was not disappointed with anything

• The location can't be beat - close to two Metro stops, Chinatown and the Latin Quarter.
• Rooms were a bit cramped and complimentary coffee in lobby was sporadic.

“Overall, the Courtyard Marriott was an excellent stay. The hotel really is in the heart of the city - we walked to museums, Chinatown, Metro stations, restaurants, etc. instead of taking our car. Hotel staff is polite and gracious. They are very accommodating with valet services and storing luggage.Our room (regular king) was tiny, and the bathroom was even smaller! However, our time was spent outside of the hotel exploring the city. These arrangements suited us fine. If you're traveling on business and needed to spend more than a few days in your room, you would do better to find a more "luxurious" hotel.One qualm about the Courtyard Marriott - they have complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies set out near the lobby. We found this service sporadic; at times when a good cup of joe was needed, the carafe was never there. In addition, they cut up tiny pieces of breakfast pastries in the morning and served this on a platter. The result made the hotel look cheap - are they serving us samples? It appeared as either a supermarket trial display or as birdfeeder fodder.”

“It's a very convenient location. Right off the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Arrived too late to get a non-smoking room, although they would have accomodated our request for the 2nd nite, but we didn't bother at that point. The room was basic, no frills, weathered and worn. Staff was very friendly, cordial. Never had a chance to look at the pool.”

• The staff was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help.
• The valet area is small and a bit tucked away, and I ended up passing the hotel and having to circle around again.

“Overall experience was great! Staff was very friendly, the pool was wonderful. Other than passing the hotel the first time around, had no trouble finding it, it's just a bit meshed in with the other adjacent hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel!”

• All staff -- housekeeping, front desk, concierge, parking valet, etc. -- were extremely helpful -- 5 star service, friendly and fast!
• There was no caffeinated coffee; and the coffee was AWFUL !

“This is a terrific place, extremely well-located with excellent service and facilities and very friendly and helpful staff -- with a service attitude which belongs in a 5-star hotel! We loved everything about it except the coffee in the rooms, which was simply awful -- so we'll stay there again and just bring our own next time.”

“The hotel was clean, comfortable and a great price for the quality of service received. The valet parking which allowed you to take your car out as needed was extremely useful. The location is fine, but I wish it was closer to the action of St Laurent and St Denis. Overall, the price I paid was excellent.”
