“A very nice hotel, very well located in the heart of Montreal. Parking costs affordable for the location. Beds are not as comfortable as can be expected in this class range.” Oct 5, 2006 by

“Good location off St. Catherine. Beds were very comfortable.” Oct 5, 2006 by

“Hotel was very modern and looked well-kept. Excellent amenities in the exercise room were appreciated, as was the heated indoor pool. The absence of a Spa was regretful.” Oct 5, 2006 by
Kurt from New York, NY
“Recently renovated, excellent condition. Great location across from Place Des Arts and in the Complex Desjardins. Very convenient to shopping, dining, entertainment and public transport.” Oct 4, 2006 by

“Great hotel, excellent location and very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are decorated in a modern style and duvets make beds very comfortable.” Oct 4, 2006 by
Derek from Addison, VT
“The Hyatt has a great location--no doubt about it. We loved the pool and terrace. Even in the rain, it was a great place to hang out. We were less satisfied with the public areas. The lobby was dingy and dark, the carpets worn. I guess I would have expected more for the star-level this hotel has been given. Rooms were nice, bathrooms were pretty.” Sep 27, 2006 by
Mary B. from Camden, ME
“Clean, pleasant, great location, helpful staff, we ended up 24.00 per day for parking- have stayed there on two separate occasions-good value.” Sep 27, 2006 by
Annette from Farmington Hills, MI
“Great location but not a great place for a quiet nights sleep.” Sep 27, 2006 by
Jill from Woodstock, NY
“Very convenient to all activities we were interested in.” Sep 21, 2006 by

“Great location for business or leisure travelers, friendly and helpful staff, an excellent three star hotel.” Sep 16, 2006 by
H from Scarsdale, NY
“Hotel is in a convenient location. It's clean and has very courteous friendly helpful staff. Has a Good restaurant at reasonable price. Easy access to food court with foods of different nationalities and huge Des Jardins dept. store complex. I would definitely recommend this hotel with the incredibly low price.” Sep 15, 2006 by
Bob from Natick, MA
“The Room I received was Very Small, and had a Hideaway Wall Bed, with no Box Spring. ” Sep 12, 2006 by
Miu from Toronto, ON CA
“I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in NY. The service and staff in NY were 10 times better than the Grand Hyatt in Montreal. This is extremely disappointing. I also booked a room with a King size bed and when we checked in (it was late at night), there was only a room with a double bed. What was worse was that the double bed was a Murphy bed, the kind that can fold up against the wall. Seeing that I went to Montreal to get married and that we would be spending our wedding night a the hotel, I was really upset. There was no available room to move to so the next day, after our wedding ended, we got back to the hotel and had to change rooms at around 2:00 am! The hotel staff did apologize (although it did not feel sincere - there was proud for their work) and gave us complimentary fruit, truffles and port. What would have been more appropriate is to give us a room upgrade (to a suite or something better) since we paid for a hotel room. We could have done without the food/alcohol. The art of treating guests like royalty seems to be lost at the Grand Hyatt in Montreal. Such a shame considering what a great city Montreal is.” Sep 8, 2006 by
Julie from Niskayuna, NY
“Hotel staff was courteous and helpful - our housekeeper even noticed that we had a bottle of wine and left us two wine glasses and a corkscrew. Another day we received a bottle of spring water, at no charge. The stylish modern room had a very comfortable king bed, refrigerator, desk, chair and ottoman, bar, TV and loads of storage space. The hotel is in a great location and in foul weather you can even access the underground city directly from the hotel. One of our best hotel experiences ever.” Sep 8, 2006 by
Manoj from Wayne, NJ
“Hotel was good, the only thing that I did not like is that we were not intimated about the parking charges at the hotel. Location of the hotel was very good.” Sep 7, 2006 by
K from Cambridge, MA
“Overall it is a nice hotel, good location, with a nice renovation - although it had old bathtubs, the ceiling in the hallway of the room was falling apart and the bathroom (with the single light turned on) was extremely dark. My issue was being given a room with a connecting doorway. The connecting doors had absolutely no soundproofing whatsoever. I heard EVERY SINGLE WORD the couple next to me said, EVERY SOUND that came out of the television, and I was forced to wake up as soon as they got up and started talking. The front desk would not change my room until the following day. They claimed they were sold out that night, but it seemed very clear they had rooms available. The period of time being stuck in the first room essentially ruined the trip. I would never intentionally stay at this hotel again.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Lee from New York, NY
“The hotel is located in a luxury shopping mall complex. It is conveniently located near top quality restaurants, shopping and major attractions. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and want to come back and stay there again next time.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Terry from Ottawa, ON CA
“Good location. friendly service.” Sep 5, 2006 by
H.B. from Austin, TX
“I spent 3 nights at the Hyatt Regency Montreal, and found that I could walk to most destinations I wanted to visit. Food and shopping were nearby, and although my laptop's internal WiFi didn't work reliably in the room, the hotel-provided WiFi kit worked fine. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the gym was well equipped. I would definitely stay again.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Richard from Lower Sackville, NS CA
“No problem in checking in, beautiful room and the hotel itself was just amazing i.e.: pool, outdoor decks, bar etc. As noted the parking was an issue as they mislead me on price. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.” Sep 1, 2006 by
Peggi from Jacksonville, FL
“I went to Montreal with my brother, who is frequent traveler to the city and has stayed in other hotels there. He loved the hotel, and the staff was very helpful with questions that we had. And the price could not be beaten anywhere for such a grand hotel. ” Sep 1, 2006 by
Irene from North York, ON CA
“PROS: Fabulous location in Complex Desjardins lots of choices for food, shopping and easy access to Metro. Within short walking distance to Old Montreal , St Catherine street stores, Chinatown. Friendly staff, large room with double beds Cons had to take two elevators to get to room. Bathroom was too dark, no lights over bath tub beds were too firm for our comfort. No fridge.” Sep 1, 2006 by
Bill from Denver, CO
“The location is perfect for walking around Montreal or catching the Metro. There's a mall on the first two floors of the building with a great shop, a bowlangerie, and plenty of other shopping. The room had a good of the city toward the north. The staff including concierge was extremely helpful with directions and travel hints. An impressive hotel.” Aug 31, 2006 by
Alan from Buffalo, NY
“The Hyatt Regency is in the canter of Montreal's arts district, smack dab on St. Catherine St. but not far from downtown. The rooms are comfortable and extremely well-appointed. The staff is very professional and courteous.” Aug 29, 2006 by
Jesus M. from Toronto, ON CA
“Got a room 2 queen size bed, was fine for me, a while after I checked in called the front desk to get a Internet code, did not worked, I tried to call one of the telephones did not worked and the lamp as well, I asked the front desk, housekeeping lady from the room beside, she told me I will call maintenance, after a while ago, the Internet still not working, no body came to my room and fixed the telephone and lamp, finally a member of the front desk called me and offered me a different room, after waiting for a very long time no body came to gave me the new keys, called back to the front desk, a new lady asked me about why I was calling from that room because my name was not in the computer! I did not have any idea about what's going on? Was a little bit frustrated about all those things happened at the same time, after I don't know how I injured my self with a broken part piece of wood on the desk, hurt myself on my knee, at that time one of the bellman came to my room I was very upset and showed him what happened, he offered me ice because my knee was very red and had a big pain! 3 minutes later another bellman came with another set of keys, still I couldn't understand about what happened and how 2 bell capstans came to my room, I decided to move right away and get the new room all this process took so long plus the problem with my knee, since that time had a pain all day , the manager called me and apologized for the situation offered me a free breakfast and a drink at the bar.. when I don't drink! anyways after 9:00pm the pain still went to the swimming pool but did not helped me at all, I was supposed to be out with friend to celebrate my new job, I couldn't do anything just setting all night, next day Saturday the manager on duty called me and see how things were doing, I was looking to extended my stay for an extra night, the manager offered me a different price and security decided to get some information from me as an investigation for the incident.” Aug 27, 2006 by
Serge from Saint-Ignace, NB CA
“Location is great, there is a mall, restaurants and a food court attached to the hotel. The metro is adjacent to the hotel. Rooms are stylish, comfortable and quiet. This property is very clean. The view from our room was very nice. Public areas are very stylish and pleasant. The staff is indifferent, cold & snobby, you are just a number to them. Parking is pricey.” Aug 24, 2006 by
Gina from Chelmsford, MA
“Overall, a nice hotel. The only problem is that our check in was delayed for an hour despite the fact that we had checked in 2 hours earlier and they said it would be ready at 3pm. Our room wasn't ready until almost 4pm.” Aug 24, 2006 by
Trena from Ottawa, ON CA
“Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Had a great sleep, found the staff helpful and courteous. Be prepared for dim room lights.” Aug 24, 2006 by
Connie from Fort Lee, NJ
“This hotel is located at very center downtown. Underneath the hotel, there is a big shopping mall and food court. So, basically, without stepping out, you will have everything needed. 15 minutes walking to old Montreal, 5 minutes to Chinatown. Swimming pool is good, good staff and very kids friendly. Room service is great, too. The only cons is the elevator. It is so slow, even with all 4s working together. Because of long waiting time, people staying in the hotel sometimes lost patience and lack of politeness, some people is rude. Generally speaking, a great hotel, worth of staying in Montreal. Will definitely recommend it.” Aug 23, 2006 by
Murray G. from Marblehead, MA

“Localization, rooms, staff everything is beautiful.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Matt from Ottawa, ON CA
“Overall I found the rooms to be nicely furnished with the only drawback being the poor lighting. I enjoyed the location as it was right across from the venue. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. ” Aug 10, 2006 by
Keith from Ft Lauderdale, FL
“The hotel is in a great central location. Staff are very friendly and offer assistance. The only "bad" things were the moldy grout in the bath tub areas and cheap lighting in the bathroom. Only one light that was one of those energy savers. Not what I expected. Other than that, all was great.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Mark from Grafton, ON CA
“Very good.” Aug 9, 2006 by
Jan from Wysox, PA
“The Hyatt Montreal is a great place to stay with comfortable, well-decorated rooms. Its location is within walking distance to many attractions, including Old Montreal. The subway is located nearby to take you anywhere else you'd like to go.” Aug 9, 2006 by
Michael from Pittsburgh, PA
“Hyatt Regency Montreal is a large block hotel located on St Catherine Street in between the Latin Quarter and downtown and north of Vieux Montreal. The hotel sits astride Complex Desjardin shopping area. Rooms are nice as is the Hyatt standard, the real benefit here is the location - close to culture and nightlife in every direction.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Frank from Belleville, IL
“This hotel is well located in the Desjardin Center with many stores and services available, and it is across the street from the Place d'art e subway station. It is very modern and stylish. While the parking is somewhat expensive, the ramp itself is very safe and well maintained.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Tony from Toronto, ON CA
“The hotel was amazing. It was in a perfect location, room was spacious and clean. Hotel pool, gym and patio were really great!” Aug 8, 2006 by
Sandra from Cromwell, CT
“Montreal was a great city and the hotel made our stay that much better. The hotel is clean, has good services available (got a massage), and could not be in a better location. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby and Old Montreal is only a 10 minute walk away. The hotel staff was friendly and professional, and the concierge was very, very helpful!!” Aug 8, 2006 by
Dale from Scarborough, ON CA
“The hotel is conveniently located near both old Montreal and downtown. We were able to walk to most places and there is an underground attached to the hotel. The room was very nice and had a small fridge which was very handy. It was a very pleasant stay.” Aug 6, 2006 by
B from Houston, TX

Joe from Ocean, NJ
“Overall I really like this hotel. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff is friendly. My only complaint is that the valet parking is a little expensive at $25 a night. Also the Internet was not working right away. I had to call customer service and they didn't get back to me for close to 3 hours later.” Aug 2, 2006 by
Mary B. from Salem, NH
“For the price you cannot beat it. For location on St. Catherine Street - ideal.” Aug 1, 2006 by
George from Hampton, NH
“The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Montreal exceeded all our expectations. On the edge of downtown across from the museum of modern art, a five minute walk to Chinatown, and a 15 minute walk to Old Montreal, the location of this hotel could hardly be better. Rooms are large, clean, and well-furnished. Hotel staff are extraordinarily attentive and helpful. Fitness center and pool are superbly functional and well maintained. Sun deck is a real treat.” Jul 31, 2006 by
Joe from Ocean, NJ
