• Pool, location, fitness center.
• Room did not match the description, had to change the room.

“If you need a hotel in a convenient location and good facilities but do not care much about the room itself, it is a good choice. However, if you do not want to take two different elevators to get to your room, this is not a place for you!”

• The hotel service was great, as was the room service.
• The hotel was located near strip clubs and adult novelty shops. There were also homeless begging around the hotel.

“This Hyatt Regency is not up to par with other Hyatt Regency's I have stayed it. If traveling to Montreal I will stay in Old Montreal next time. The area around the Hyatt was a little scary, homeless peeing in the streets, etc.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and they let me check in at 1 PM versus 3PM.
• The elevators. So many of them.

• The location was great and the connection to an underground mall with a grocery store was awesome.
• The Internet cost was too much, 5 dollars for 10 minutes. I also could not connect to the in room high speed Internet through the TV.

“I liked this hotel, it was worth the money I paid, which was very little. The fitness room was good, being open 24-7. The restaurant was pricey so I choose not to dine there. Location is excellent for downtown Montreal. I would likely stay here again.”

• Price, location, breakfast, service in the breakfast room.
• Long time to have the key, the room was an old one (not renovated), no Queen size bed.

“The room is not a good looking one (old stuff). Unfortunately, there was no room available with a queen size bed (yes but for one night only so they gave me another one to keep the same room for 2 nights). Parking is expensive if you want to go in and out as many times you want. Elevators are very slow. Good points: modern lobby, kindness of service.”

• Prices at hotel bar and restaurant quite high.

“Location was great in terms of getting to the old town, pubs, and shopping. Having the underground mall directly below is great for the budget conscious traveler for the great options at the food court. Definitely recommend to anyone, for the right price!”

• I really liked the e-concierge/concierge; they were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and confident.
• The desk area in the room was a little Narrower than I had expected.

“The Hyatt was an excellent hotel, with fantastic service. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the fitness centre and heated indoor pool were not only free, but were open something like 20 hours a day. We were able to park in an indoor parking lot, which like the hotel, is also attached to a shopping centre. Overall, great anemities.p.s. Their bathrooms were also very nice.”

• Room cleanliness, no worn-out furniture, good bathroom accessories, comfortable bed and clean room.
• Can put more lights in room. Corridor was really dark. Experience on corridor was not good before I enter my room.

“I would highly recommend this hotel. Location is good & convenient. Parking $8 overnight is reasonable (but not valets for $45). Overall room is very clean & upscale. Bathroom is clean, but need more lights in the shower area. Hallway/corridor is dark, not a good experience before I enter my room.”

• Great location in downtown Montreal.
• Bathroom lighting is dreadful.

“The location, room quality and attractive pricing are key to our enjoyment of this property. The rooms offered have been recently refurbished, the beds are comfortable, it's within the Desjardins Centre with it's shops, SAQ and a grocery for snacks, has underground access to the 2 Metro lines (orange and green?) through Place Des Arts or above ground to the Place des Armes and is within an easy walk of Old Montreal. Other than the bathroom lighting, which has always been an issue for me, this is a good hotel in it's star rating. We will stay here again.”

• Outstanding location, experience, nearly out of this world!
• Almost nothing, except for a few minor things.

“This hotel is extremely conveniently located in downtown Montréal, close to everything imaginable. Restaurants, entertainment, transportation. Everything that you might ever need is located under one roof. What else can one might ask for? Heaven? If it ever existed!”

• Farther from downtown than I imagined. Fairly close to a tough neighborhood.

“The hotel was very nice although the pool was kept far too warm. Overall though I was quite pleased with this hotel and the value I received for money paid was exceptional.”

“The hotel staff was not the greatest. They forced me to pay 25.00 for valet parking because my stock dodge pickup wouldn't go into their low garage. Then they lost my luggage for an hour and delivered to the wrong room. Local calls were 1.00 each, 12.95 for 1 day internet access, and they tried to tell me we couldn't get a Chinese delivery to our room. ”

• The shower head was not centered, which seemed to result in water leaking on the floor.

“All the staff I dealt with was excellent, big smiles, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has been refurbished recently, very clean elegant lines. Pool was large and very clean, though the opening hours do not really make much sense. We had room service, which was excellent, actually cheaper than the restaurant including wine! We at the breakfast buffet, kids loved it, quality was great. Check in/out were very easy. ”

• Fourth stay there in 2 months, always satisfactory.
• Housekeeping seems to be spotty sometimes but not in all rooms.

“Was extremely pleased once again with the accommodation and the excellent service. Was put far away from the elevator without even asking (in fact, pretty much at the end of the hallway). Hotel public spaces very clean and the room was clean too although I did notice that in some of the rooms I¿ve had there, housekeeping can miss a few things here and there but nothing major. Quiet, great Hyatt grand beds, a true upscale hotel in a central location.”

• The bathroom was poorly lit and poorly designed.

“Overall, this hotel was a pleasure to stay in. There is a two-story mall below the hotel, with restaurants, shops, and a supermarket. It is a great relief on a freezing Montreal night to not have to step outside. We did, however, venture out into the cold and we were rewarded with a truly outstanding meal just across the street. The 24-hour gym and large indoor pool were clean and modern, and the pool offers a 180-degree view of the city. One drawback was the bathroom: it was dimly lit, had little counter space, and there was no convenient place to hang bath towels. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.”

• Good location, comfortable room, high quality bed and pillows.
• Small washroom, insufficient lighting in washroom, improper location of shower head (more to the outside) which causes water to splash all over.

“Needs better communication from receiving area, important business delivery was held in receiving area without notifying guest for four days. However, management was quick to acknowledge mistake meaning that there will be improvement. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.”

• I thought that the price was fantastic for the quality that we had. The modern, clean cut look was well done (great taste!). Location was fantast.
• The bathroom was too dark! Not enough light!

“I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The hotel staff was helpful and very friendly. The room was very attractive and inviting, although they could put some more lights in the bathroom. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable and that is essential when staying away from home.”

“Best thing about the Hyatt is its location. Only a short walk to Chinatown where many restaurants open till 3-4am. Great for later arrivals. It's located in a huge complex with shopping mall and food court. Easy access to the subway and the museum cross the street. I parked my car for two days in the complex parking without getting out and paid $8/day. In/out privileges will cost $19/day.hotel staff was friendly. Room is clean but not quite up to the standards of Hyatt in my opinion. No microwave and fridge.”

“This is the third time I¿ve stayed at this hotel. It was freezing outside so I was fortunately to have the mall underneath the hotel. I didn't have to go outside to get something to eat or visit the ATM. I will stay here again in the future.”

“This hotel is well maintained in a good location but it suffers greatly from an odd entry system where one needs to take two elevators to get to his room. The room was attractive and featured some 4 star qualities but fits nicely into a 3 star range.”

• The room although very nice was a little small, and parking was expensive. $25.00 a day.

“This hotel was located in the heart of Montreal directly off of St Catherine street in the clothing district. It was clean and the décor was beautiful. Was in easy walking distance to most events and site, and overall was a great place to stay the only down fall was the parking which averaged $25.00 a day.”

• Very central location with direct subway access, cheap underground parking on week-ends, great rooms/beds.
• Service tends to be inconsistent depending on who you get at check-in.

“The Hyatt Regency Montreal Centre-Ville is a great hotel, centrally located. Staff ranges from rude to helpful but the later is usually more the case. The rooms were all renovated very recently with the Hyatt Grand bed and black out curtains. Bathrooms a little below par for a Hyatt and as reported, there is a little lack of lights but it's not as bad as some make it out to be (it was worst when I first stayed there and they only had one light in the bathrooms). Excellent pool/fitness area. Parking from Friday 5 p.m to Monday 6 am in the Complex's garage is only 8$ per 24 hours. Valet parking (same garage) cheaper than self-park on weekdays. ”

• The lighting in the bathroom was very dim. Only one light for entire room.

“Overall, we found the Hyatt regency to met or exceed our expectations. The location was perfect with reasonably priced parking underground. The staff was multilingual and very helpful. The pool was well maintained. We would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• Had heating issues, room service was horrible (27.00 for sandwich), lighting in bather was nest, some amenities were unavailable.

“The stay was less than adequate for the "3 or 4 star rating". Had heating issues. Room service was horrible (waiting for towels and addressed concerns). Room service menu is not as advertised and way to expensive for the low quality of food. Cab service for the hotel was very nest and almost non-existent late at niter and in the early morning when it is truly needed. Somewhat of miserable stay overall!”

“We always enjoy staying in Hyatt regency hotels and this location is no exception. The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel was beautiful, extremely clean, within a short distance to the underground and mall. We were able to walk to many sights, restaurants, shopping and churches. We will definitely stay there again when in Montréal.”

“Pretty, pleasant, warm-feeling hotel central to everything. And yet it's very easy to get to by car from outside the city-- surprisingly easy. Parking is cheaper than expected (8 bucks CDN/day if you don't use the valet), and it's convenient to the subway. I told my wife "we lucked out!" and I still think that's true.”
