  • Conveniently located and comfortable.
  • Poor Parking choices and small front door drop off area.

“Other than the parking issues the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff, especially the concierges were very helpful and friendly. Small detail but the towels could have been softer for this level hotel. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it as well.”

  • The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfy, and luxurious.

  • Not a 4 star hotel, needs renovation, at least the room we had.

“I was disappointed in the room and amenities provided. Expected a better room. It was clear that the room had not been renovated for years. The view was excellent though. Compared to some of the other major hotel chains I was disappointed. I am an avid traveler and stay at 4 star hotels a lot.”

  • Great staff. Great location. Surprisingly great food/good value at the restaurant.
  • The hotel's logo, a faded flower, perfectly represents the aesthetic. All the rugs/upholstery is becoming threadbare - a Reno would be nice.

“The location and staff was great. The restaurant was great value (a filling nicoise salad with real grilled tuna for $12.50!). But this hotel was once a Four Seasons Hotel and apparently hasn't been remodeled (or redecorated) since the late 70s/early 80s (aside from the restaurant).”

  • Since we did not get two double beds, they tried accommodating us with a larger room and a cot.
  • The coffee machine did not work in the room.

“I have stayed at this hotel before and we found it very well situated to restaurants, areas etc. We were apartment searching for our daughter to attend McGill and it was an excellent starting point. The hotel staff was great and we used the valet parking which was extremely efficient.”

“Check in was very fast and smooth. The lady at the counter gave us a corner room, which was much bigger than the room of our other traveling companion. The room was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. The room was a bit smaller than at similar hotels. The decor was getting a bit dated (especially the wallpaper) but everything was still tasteful, in good condition and very clean. The concierge was helpful in recommending a restaurant for dinner and the bell staff was fast in getting our bags. I would stay at this hotel again.”

  • Clean, convenient, polite staff, all the amenities.
  • Poor bar, restaurant, pool needs face lift, TV dated, have to pay for local calls.

“Stayed for three nights with girlfriend. We liked it a lot. Got a room on 23rd floor with skyline view of Montreal. Bar restaurant really small and not inviting. Pool, while large, needs a major facelift or renovation. also TV is not flat screen and you have to pay for local calls. Ridiculous. But this hotel is very well maintained and reasonably swanky. Terrific downtown location, near shops, museums, restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend it. It's a 4 star!”

“Easy to locate, great walking to a lot of attractions. The hotel floor was a smoking room, as that is all they had. So we had a smoking room, with stains on the floor, it smelled of cigarette smoke, and had old soap in the tub. Other than that it was clean & we were lucky enough to get a King bed. The staff was very friendly and the lobby was very beautiful. I had just hoped for a bit cleaner/nicer room.”

  • Very good location and very nice lobby.
  • The only thing included in the price was the room, no coffee, no parking, not even local calls.

“This hotel is nice for those travelers that are looking to do everything outside of the hotel, unless money is not an issue. I was shocked when I got the bill and they had charge me for everything under the sun, from coffee (that is usually free at 2-3 star hotels), to a local call I made to a pizza place ($1.50). There was nothing that made this hotel worth the extra money over a 3-star hotel and next time I go to Montreal, I will chose a different hotel.”

  • We were treated as special guests. They called us by our names and were very friendly.
  • Parking was not included. Would take advantage of the Valet next time. The walk from the parking ramp was far to carry luggage.

  • Very nice accommodations and a beautiful hotel.
  • Not close to the water front but within an easy drive to get there. Parking is an issue, rather expensive and need to use Valet.

  • They gave us a horrible room on the first night.

“When we arrived on the first night, they put us in a parlor room with nothing but two cots. After we complained, they switched us to a suite for the last two nights. They also gave us free breakfast for all three nights. However, when I stay at a four star hotel, I do not expect to sleep on a cot.”

  • We were downgraded first night to room with pullout-bed, not queen/king.

“The hotel is nice. Unfortunately we were downgraded on the first night to a parlor room with pullout sofa-bed, not queen/king. The hotel had filled up, and did upgrade us to a suite the next night, but our experience was not at a continuous 4-star level. I would have expected a 4-star hotel to honor our staying with a queen/king at another similar hotel, rather than downgrade us, once they knew they were full.”

  • Good location, especially if visiting Montreal museums.
  • Small room, pretty bad furniture. The bathroom looked at least 50 years old.

“The only reason for this hotel to have 4 stars is free wireless internet, and the fact that is has a spa. Rooms are pretty bad, I would not give it more than 2 1/2 stars overall. The hotel needs major renovation.”

  • I liked the workout facility.
  • I did not like the room I was assigned, it was too cramped.

“The Omni Mount Royal is located close to the heart of the city of Montreal. The staff is pleasant and willing to listen. The strength of the hotel is the well equipped workout facility. The weakness of the hotel is the cramped rooms and bathrooms in need of an upgrade. Overall, but considering the price I paid, received a fair value.”

  • My room view was stunning. The outdoor heated pool and gym were perfect. Location and staff wonderful.
  • The Zen Restaurant was too bright and loud. The food was just all right. Room decor was not the modern euro style I prefer.

“At the Omni Mont-Royal, I had a top-floor (31st) room with a view of Montreal and the St. Lawrence. It featured a large, comfortable bed with feather pillows and comforter, free WiFi, a generous desk and workspace, an enormous bathroom with a magnifying mirror, separate toilet and bidet area, a hotel gym that offered an outdoor pool, heated and comfortable even I n January. The staff were pleasant and I nformative. The location could not have been better. Check in and check out were quick and accurate.”

  • The staff went out of their way to be helpful.
  • My 81 year old uncle booked at the same hotel for double the price and was given a sofa bed to sleep on.

  • The room size was phenomenal. The staff outstanding.
  • The cleanliness of the room was disappointing. Hair (more than a few) in the bathtub and sink area, the cream bottle had a brown jam like stain.

“The size and comfort level was more than impressive however the cleanliness for the caliber of the hotel was deceiving. Bathtub stains. Aside from that I would definitely try it out again. If I had the same experience for the cleanliness I would probably not go there again.”

  • Housekeeping was lousy, sometimes not servicing room completely.

“I would not choose to return to this hotel. The rooms & service are not 4* and the staff not up to the task of customer service. The room was dated, no closets, no safe, no work desk, limited power outlets. The bed was uncomfortably hard, and for some reason they were unable to switch my room.”
