“Location is great if you want to be near the new casino and within walking distance of restaurants. Quality is slightly upscale. As for walking to the falls, not close enough as compared to staying near the old casino.”

- The staff especially Mandy and housekeeping were wonderful.
- All fees were not given and we almost didn't have the monies to stay.
“I enjoyed our stay. The staff with the exception of the waiter we had been on point. I was able to relax and enjoy myself. Everything was clean and the view from our room was out of this world! All of the attractions were right I could not have thought of a better getaway or place to stay.”

“Room looked like a 2 star at the max and people were rude and not helpful, I expected a valet with the service of bringing my families bags to the room and never even offered. Parking was expensive and way out of the way. Will never stay at this hotel again.”

- The staff at Renaissance were fantastic. For this reason alone I will return.
- I really did not have any issues, but the location on the map I received was a bit farther from the falls than I wanted.
“It was a little difficult to find the hotel, but once we found it and checked in they offered to upgrade our view of the falls, and actually got a corner room that had a falls view and city view. We drove to Niagara from Ohio, and really enjoyed the trip. Complimentary valet parking was a nice perk and really, I felt like a VIP the way the staff treated myself and my wife. (we brought our 2 year old also, she liked the pool.) Canada and the Renaissance Hotel will have our business again, and I am recommending to all of our family and friends. Thanks The Fitzgerald's”

- The mattress was too, too soft. Equipment in fitness room was difficult to use.

- The restaurants and food were great.
- Not a 4star, small room, few amenities.
“The friendly staff was helpful, did not like that I had to dish out another $20 just to park there. When I went to park there, the lot was full, so I had to valet my car which meant I had to tip whoever was taking my car. The pool area was really nice, and the breakfast buffet was tremendous, but very pricey. The room was clean but very small. Overall, it was an ok experience.”

- The decor was lovely and the staff upgraded our room to a suite.
- Parking was a bit pricey - $18, but it was Niagara Falls.

“My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away without the kids. It was a great hotel. Very clean, nice comfy bed and down comforter. Lots of pillows. We had reserved a king, but ended up with two doubles, which was a bummer, BUT we had a falls view which we hadn't paid extra for. I'd stay here again.”

- The hotel rooms are beautiful with a hot tub right in the middle of the room. The bed is so comfy and inviting.
- All rooms in Niagara Falls are expensive. They tax and then tax on top of that, so be prepared to spend. Rough towels and bad view from 2nd floor.
“The Renaissance Falls view in Niagara Falls was a beautiful hotel. It connects to the new casino and is only a short walk to the falls. The rooms are spacious with a big comfy bed. We got the hot tub, which is right in the middle of the room and is perfect. The only complaints is that all of Niagara Falls is expensive and then love to tax on top of tax. Can't get a soda for less than $3, so prepare yourself to spend some money. The bathroom is small and the towels are way too rough. The people in the city do not go out of their way to be friendly. Recommend going to the new casino for dinner it's $52 for 2 but all you can eat seafood (shrimp and king crab legs, etc) meat, and dessert stations that are awesome. $52 is a good price, considering we went to Friday's and my meal that I get in Ohio is 9.99 but in Niagara it was 20.82 American dollars.”

- You have to be in the top 14 floors to view the falls

- The staff is friendly.
- The interior design has a late-70's/early-80's feel.
“It would be more appropriately rated as a 2.5 star rather than as a 3 star. It is located in the heart of the Falls view district, across the street from the casino and a fairly short walk to the falls (note the unavoidable hill that affects all of the hotels). It's not bad, but it's surrounded by newer, nicer hotels.”

“Our stay at this hotel was absolutely miserable! It started with a fire alarm late our first night in which my handicapped mother had to attempt to walk down 5 flights of stairs. There were no hotel staff in site to offer assistance. It became even worse the next morning when I woke up with 19 bed bug bites on my legs. The hotel staff refused to acknowledge they were insect bites and even had the audacity to tell me it was a rash and I must be allergic to industrial soap!! (I have no such allergy) It look me 1 1/2 hours of complaining to rude desk staff and the operations manager before anyone would even come look at the room or the insect bites on my legs. The operations manager, Kathy McMurray, didn't seem to care about the prospect of bed bugs in the hotel and said aside from offering us a room across the hall there was nothing she could do. She refused to refund our money for the night in which I was bitten by bed bugs. I then called the General Manager,Ralph Sabourin, and it took him four days to return my call. I've given up on this incompentant hotel staff and have disputed the charge with my credit card company. To top it off, we took a swim in the pool our final day and found numerous insects crawling in and around the pool! This place is just gross!”

- The maintenance staff was very helpful.
- Noisy. Front desk staff not friendly.
“We were on 10th floor but still could hear the nearby performance until 11pm. The bathroom was clot up and the air conditioner was not functioning. We had to have maintenance come up twice. We also heard the other guest had similar bathroom problem.”

“The receptionist, wait, and valet staff were friendly. The room was not as detailed as I would expect from a 4 star. All essential elements were there, maid service lack a little attention to detail because one of the bed had a few foreign hair in it. Thank goodness we had two beds and my son and I were able to share one. The valet service also lack attention. Had to wait a while several times for someone to show up take the car. Got frustrated, so second day, I went for self park. I did receive a wake up call at 6AM the first morning even though I did not request one. I did call the front desk to let them know that someone is waiting for a wake up call and it wasn't me. Overall, the stay was OK. For the price I've paid, it was good. I was tired and did not feel like complaining to the front desk about the bed or the valet service. I didn't need the second bed anyways, but do think that a so call 4 star should pay more attention to detail like that. Hair of any kind anywhere is disgusting. Didn't flip through the whole bedding, but three was enough for me to say yucky!”

“This hotel is great if you get a great rate on it, otherwise the lack of view will be disappointing as you are so near the falls. Great linens and covers on the bed, really clean and modern feeling hotel. Lobby a tad underwhelming, as was the bar, but the room more than made up for it. Very helpful staff.”

- Location, convenience to casino, cleanliness.
- Our room overlooked a roof and the side of the building next door. $18 plus tax parking fee.
“Great location, friendly staff, clean hotel. There is a walkway to the casino across the street. Room was very nice. There is an $18 plus tax parking fee which is slightly high.”

- Location to everything your in Niagara falls for.
- The unexpected, mandatory parking fees $42. for two day stay.

- Nice lobby, close to casino.
- Overrated.
“I was very disappointed. No way it's 4 stars (3 stars will do). The window on our room was cracked and coffee pot was dirty. The location of the hotel is behind the casino - in other words, only top 4 or 5 floors able to see falls. The pool, oh my god, is so small and dark - nothing like a photo. This is just okay hotel, can't compare with any other 4 stars hotel that I've experienced before. (and please, pictures are misleading - The actual look of the hotel looks much older and darker!)”

- The location was great , a short downhill walk to the falls with a covered walk way to the casino.
- Parking cost.

- This place is connected to Casino and shopping malls.
- The location is not the best among hotels near Niagara falls.
“I hoped the location could be really close or had a great view but it was not as much as I expected. The good point is the hotel is really close to Casino and shopping malls so it was convenient.”

- Location was prime for Niagara Falls.
- Pool area was basic, certainly not according to picture.
“This hotel is rated as a 4 star, but should only be a 3+ at most. Room service not available after 11pm certainly does not fit in with the evening/night life of the Falls-particularly with the casino being directly across from this location. The pool area was small and basic-not the atmosphere pictures portrayed. This hotel is friendly and it's location is prime, but it does not have the added ump which makes a 4 rating.”

- The beds had luxuriant linens. The room was very spacious, clean , and stylish. I loved the room's layout with its mini foyer.
- Parking rate was a little steep, but that's pretty much par for the course in Niagara Falls.
“One of the most stylish and comfortable rooms ever. The bathroom fixtures were sparkling clean and of the highest quality. I speak with some experience since I've ordered many hotel rooms in the past. And without question, this has been the best hotel room I've stayed in for the price. ”
