• The hotel was fairly new and modern. The pool area, gym and sauna etc. were great inclusions. The parking was convenient and reasonable.

• Amazing pool, and close to the main strip of Niagara Falls.
• No humidity - had nosebleeds even with shower on all night, buffet breakfast very expensive.

“Nice place to stay overall in Niagara Falls. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth it when you compare the prices of other 4 + star hotels in the area.”

• Nothing.
• The room was small, bed was uncomfortable, and the location was bad.

“If you are looking for a good location and a decent room, do not stay at this hotel. TV's from 30 years ago when the place was built. The beds are not great either, also this is not what you would expect of a double tree, to my understanding double tree is like embassy suites where every room is a suite. These rooms were like jail cells, I couldn't wait until my sentence, I mean stay was over.”

• The View was excellent. We enjoyed that the hotel was away from most of the busy traffic.
• We had to pay to park $10 CDN above the hotel room price.

“The hotel was a off of the main drag which was nice. Walking to the Hard Rock was 1 Mile and across the bridge to the US was another 1/2 Mile. Walking to the Journey Behind the Falls at Horseshoe Falls was 1 Mile. Some of the walking was uphill.”

• The staff made you feel at home.
• Nothing negative to say.

“Our stay was great. The staff was wonderful. Not only were they accommodating under normal circumstances, but came to the rescue when we had one of our friends pass out at a restaurant. We had already checked out but had to come back to make arrangements to have him and his wife picked up. We were all on motor cycles. Their kindness was greatly appreciated and made the waiting so much better. If we could, we would rate them higher than a 10. Can't give the staff enough praise! Thank You very much!”

• Its nearness to Niagara Falls
• Parking at hotel was NOT free. Also, breakfast was NOT included in the price.

“The hotel even did not provide free parking. Also, I was informed that the breakfast is NOT included in the price - which was NOT at all expected. I had to leave without breakfast.”

• You need your walking shoes for local activities.

• It was a beautiful hotel,nice spacious rooms and comfortable beds.

“This hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, while the beds were very comfortable. We all enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Another highlight for us was being able to watch the fireworks over the falls from the room. I highly recommend this hotel.”

• They greet you with warm chocolate chip cookies!
• I did not like that I had to pay for parking on a per day basis

“This hotel was charming and welcoming from the moment we entered the doors. With all the glitz and bang of the niagra falls casino area it was delightful to come back to the comfort of this hotel and relax in such an inviting atmosphere.”

• The Chocolate chip cookies were amazing!
• Breakfast was $30.00 per person for buffet.

• The lobby was spacious and relaxing.
• Room was pretty typical, would have liked something that matched the look of the lobby.

“Overall, my experience at this hotel was good. I thought the art decor looked of the lobby was really nice, but I would have liked to see that style carried throughout the hotel and rooms. Instead the room we stayed in was pretty typical, nothing special. I also doubted how well the floor had been vacuumed but otherwise it seemed clean. Free cookies when you checked in was also a perk!”

• The room bathroom.

“A 4 star hotel would not have such a small, tiny bathroom with fixtures bought at Wal Mart. The
TV was very old. It was a nice place but not a 4 star and $10.00 for parking in a lot is also not expected.”

• Very comfortable bed.

“This hotel has exceeded my expectation a lot. Hotel is very new. Room is quite spacious. Staff is extremely friend. They even gave cookies to my children when we checked in at 11:30pm. The pool has salt water. It is small but bigger than it looks on the picture.”

• Lobby & pool were georgeous, staff was friendly, warm cookies at check in YUM!
• Hotel hallways were cold, but then again it is winter!

“Very personable staff, attractive lobby and pool area. Nice seating areas to relax in, fireplace and flatscreens in lobby, coffee and gift shop on premises. Warm cookies at check-in! Fast and easy checkout, would definitely go there again.”

• None we could see!

“We had a great experience at this hotel over Labor Day. Everyone was friendly yet unobtrusive - check in was easy - they even called up to make sure we were happy with the room 10 minutes after we got up there. Buffet breakfast in Buchanan's was delicious. Our server recommended visiting the Butterfly Conservatory.”

• I was very impressed with the gym facility. It was very clean and had nice equipment that was in very good condition.
• It wasn't in the best location, it was a bit far to walk down by the falls from the hotel. But it wasn't too bad.

“All in all I was satisfied with the hotel. The breakfast buffet was a bit expensive for what we got! The gym was great, the staff was friendly, and the beds were very comfortable! I would stay in a Double Tree Hotel again, may be somewhere else though, probably not in Niagara Falls.”

• There was nothing that I liked about the hotel.
• The hotel staff was not hospitable in putting the customer first.

“The rooms were poorly lit with the atmosphere of a 2 star hotel or motel. The hotel showed a picturesque view of the Niagara River and I paid extra to enjoy that view but only available a room with a view of the parking lot and a distant view of a river that is only visible during the day.”

The additional hot tub on the patio outside was a nice. The hotel is not as convenient to the attractions and other restaurants as I expected. Everything is several blocks away. The hotel feels isolated for the price.”

“Excellent stay, more then we expected! The gym was awesome, had a large variety of machines. The pool looked stunning and had a separate adult swim area. The room was immaculate with comfy bedding and wonderful toiletries provided. I would recommend to anyone going to Niagara Falls, oh and don't forget the wonderful view from every room.”
