• Loved the balcony, where we were able to sit outside in the fresh air.
• Mattress was not the most comfortable. Pillows were awful.

“For a 2 star and the price, the room was excellent. The room was clean, although the mattress wasn't the most comfortable. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. Great location. Within walking distance of the downtown area. The kitchenette makes it a great place to stay with young children, especially with the good sized fridge. I would stay there again.”

• Convenience for travelers with no cars.
• The smell of the room and barking dogs.

“Situated in downtown and it's very convenience for business and people who don't have cars. The general look is good, however, the smell of the room is not acceptable.”

• Spacious, clean, attractive.
• Parking! Get something together for hotel guests and don't make us park on the street or corner lot!

“I loved the Extended Stay in terms of location, cleanliness, spaciousness of room, facilities overall. But I was not happy with the fact that supposedly there is no consistent parking for guests. If you're lucky, there may be a space in the hotel lot, in which case you pay an extra $11 per day. If you're up the creek, you're on the street feeding the meter, etc. A lot of us guests have rental cars and we need to be a accommodated consistently and fairly!”

• Very efficient clean rooms. Large and equipped with full kitchen. Newly renovated.
• Hallways need carpet replaced. Everything else looked updated but the hallways.

“This hotel was an excellent value. Our room was large and clean with a fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom was small but recently updated with very nice fixtures and very clean. Staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful.”

• Convenient location, friendly staff, everything works.
• Corridors still smell of smoke.

“The just-off downtown location of this hotel is convenient. It is a short walk to the main core of the city. Certainly not worth starting the car up to go there.”

• Walking distance from many places of interest to us including Byward Market ,Pubs &Bistros ,Parliament Buildings and Great places to eat.
• Having to pay extra for parking !

“We spent two nights here and really enjoyed it; we wished that our stay could have been longer. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were pleased with our accommodations and comfort. Great place!”

• Location.
• The room reeked with smell of cigarettes as did the corridor. Limited number of non-smoking rooms available.

“Aside from it's fantastic location the room was certainly not a deluxe room: cheap furniture, torn lamp shade, corridor walls that needed painting (primer was applied to spots on the wall and left). The corridor and room reeked of cigarettes smell.”

• I liked the convenient location as we were moving our daughter within the city.
• Parking involved moving our car to an adjacent street a block from the hotel.

“Overall I was quite satisfied with the hotel. It was convenient, affordable and exactly what we were looking for considering our situation.”

• For the price I got, this is a wonderful hotel to stay.
• The room service policy (3-day cycle).

“The location of this hotel is very good, close to Parliament Hill and Rideau Center. The room was nice, with full size stove, refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen stuff. The beds were comfortable. High speed internet is very convenient with reasonable rate, $4.99/stay. Front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. Overall, we were satisfied with our staying in the hotel and indeed extended for two more nights.”

“Everything within walking distance! All of Ottawa's main attractions are within 15 min. walking distance. Bus stop just around the corner if you want to ride instead. Hotel staff unbelievably helpful - will print out bus schedules for you! Ofcourse they also call a cab or hotel shuttle for you. Lots of restaurants nearby from local pubs to pizza to the ubiquitous Macs. Hotel also has a restaurant & they do room service which is convenient.”
