“The hotel was located in a central location in downtown Ottawa, close to the Rideau Centre and the Byward Market. It was a quality hotel with pleasant staff and great amenities although the room's furnishings were dated. Had a great time, would recommend it to anyone.” Nov 14, 2008 by
Elaine from Saskatoon,Canada
“The room was good lots of space, even included a washer & dryer. The bed was uncomfortable. We had a smoking room & it smelled stale. If you go there bring a couple of scented candles to help freshen it up. The location is great” Oct 22, 2008 by

“One of the first room we got was awful; dirty floors, rotting food, and smoky. When complaint was made they pretty much just frabreezed the place. There's also isn't enough non-smoking room available. They did allow us to switch to another room that was better. Frankly, they shouldn't have allowed anybody in the first room at all. This tarnished the otherwise great experience at this hotel. Some good points: great location, on higher floors you had a great view, and the rooms were nice and big with full kitchen and washer/dryer.” Oct 22, 2008 by

“This hotel is in a great location for Downtown Ottawa, the staff is friendly, and the building and rooms are quite clean. Noise levels are rather high both late at night (12-3 am) and in the morning (8-11 am). Light sleepers should bring earplugs.

“Everything was good and I would return.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Cheryl from Cote Saint Luc, QC CA
“The hotel is pleasantly situated within a 5 min walk to the Byward Market, where there are literally hundreds of restaurants and shops. I expected a small suite (room with sitting space). There was a full kitchen with dishwasher and all appliances and a washer/dryer. I was told this is the standard size. There are larger suites in the hotel. The rooms and the public areas were clean. There is a coffee shop on the premises. There is a pool and a gym also. The only negative, is that maybe the decor needs some updating. I would recommend this hotel, especially for families.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Mike from Burlington, ON CA
“Hotel was great and suite was roomy. Liked the idea of a suite that had a kitchen and laundry facilities. Very close to the Market area for dining and sight seeing, shopping as well.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Alex from Burlington, ON CA
“Great hotel for extended stays. Our room had a living room with sofa bed and a bedroom with queen size bed, plus kitchen with oven and microwave, full-size fridge, dishwasher, washer and drier, iron and desk. It feels like living in timeshare condo. Swimming pool and recreation center is adequate, but no fancy though. Hotel was conveniently located just steps from business building and Parliament Hill. Only drawbacks we had was older furniture and TV sets and a pigeon problem on the balcony. Parking and common areas was adequate.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Kelly from St. Thomas, ON CA
“Comfortable. Convenient. Parking was an issue for us as our oversized vehicle would not fit under parking gate and damage occurred to the roof.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Martin from Perkinsfield, ON CA
“Overall an excellent value I still can't believe how easy it was.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Stephen from Acton, MA
“Les Suites is a great place for a family with young children, a separate TV and room of the kids and a full kitchen to eat in. Parliament and the museums are a short walk away.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Ruth from Oshawa, ON CA
“I really enjoyed our stay, we were in room at the hotel in Ottawa. I loved the layout of the suite and that it was furnished so nicely and furnished well. Although it does seem like an older motel (in the rooms), the furniture and extra things made up for it. Love the laundry facilities (although we did not need to use them). Love that it had a useable balcony and big closets. It was a great experience and I will use that particular motel again. All is good. We are coming to Ottawa again this weekend.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Kel from Sault Ste. Marie, ON CA
“Very friendly staff. Large room and convenient location.” Aug 17, 2008 by
Jean G. from North Bay, ON CA
“We would stay there again only if we could get non smoking rooms. May be you can have this as a choice when we select a hotel with you?” Aug 16, 2008 by
Petchie from Killarney, MB CA
“Great suite. Just wish we were staying for more than one night!” Aug 13, 2008 by

“Over all a very nice stay.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Steve from Straffordville, ON CA
“Hotel was good, it had a full kitchen and laundry in our room. As I said our room smelled like it was smoked in. We are non-smokers. It had 2 TV's which was good 4 our family on our down time.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Ashleigh from London, ON CA
“This hotel was in walking distance of just about everything. We walked to Byword Market, Parliament Hill, Sparks Street and even the old jail. The location was just on the edge of some sketchy parts of town. But even walking around at 1am I never felt uncomfortable. Lots of restaurants just down the road; Dunn's is open 24/7. The rooms were huge and very clean. Our 2 bedroom suite was larger than my 2 bedroom apartment. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.” Jul 25, 2008 by
Jean from Toronto, ON CA
“Les Suites is centrally located in Ottawa, near the market. Accommodation was essentially a one bed roomed apartment, complete with full sized kitchen, living/dining room, bedroom (King size bed), bathroom and balcony. The hotel has a pool and exercise room and convenient coffee shop/store in the lobby. Staff is friendly and checking in and out was very quick.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Larry from Manlius, NY
“Excellent suite hotel with separate bedroom and a fold-out couch; 2 televisions in each suite. Full kitchen (we never used).” Jun 17, 2007 by
Rosemary from New Glasgow, NS CA
“Great location near Rideau Centre. Room was actually a two-bedroom apartment with kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry machines, dishwasher. 2 double beds, 1 queen plus a pullout couch.” Feb 24, 2007 by
Sue from Toronto, ON CA
“We were automatically upgraded to a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite which was fully furnished with a kitchen, dining room, and living room. It was so much bigger and nicer than our own apartment in Toronto that I was tempted to move in!” Feb 22, 2007 by
Danny ,. from Pierrefonds, QC CA
“This hotel was very comfortable, quite with all the modern appliances for dependent living, inexpensive indoor parking, within walking distance to Parliament Hill, Rideau Shopping Center and much more. We loved our stay there.” Feb 22, 2007 by
Tony from Swarthmore, PA
“Nice place to stay. Homeless shelter "the mission" not too far away, so transients are observed in the area. Bar across the street late noise, however, hotel moved us no problem. Rooms very nice and spacious. Close to everything, mall, shopping, museums, ride canal, very nice time during winter carnival. Would certainly go back and stay there again.” Feb 19, 2007 by
Raymond from Scarborough, ON CA
“This mini suite was very home-like and easy to live it, for the price I paid; I received a very good deal. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the downtown Ottawa area.” Feb 14, 2007 by
Anne from Montreal, QC CA
“"Convenient but outdated" best describes this hotel. Good location, great suites (very good for families or guests wanting to prepare their own meals) but the decor seemed about 20 years old. The service could be improved: I was very impolitely told at check-in "you're goanna haft a wait", and there were no more towels at the pool. Also, the electrician barged into our room to fix something. I was in my underwear! Also, there are only 3 elevators for about 22 floors and the wait at the elevator can be very, very long.” Feb 12, 2007 by
Christopher from Brooklin, ON CA
“The room was large and bright and did I mention it had a stove.” Aug 9, 2005 by
Joanne from Champlain, NY
“This is a very good hotel for family, full equip kitchen with a large leaving area and a separate bedroom. It is clean and quiet.” Feb 28, 2005 by
Claire E. from Edmonton
“The room was nice and spacious, with a decent view, had shared kitchen facilities and was close to the market and the Parliament buildings. An extra bonus was that parking facilities were on the same floor as our room. You could not hear any noise from inside the room which was very nice. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay for a great value.” Jan 10, 2005 by
Mark from Toronto, CA
“A very comfortable, well appointed all-suite hotel. All rooms have full kitchen, living/dining room, bedroom, mid-size bathroom, and balcony. This hotel may have been a Condo building at one time, each room is like a 900 Sq Ft apartment. The rooms are much larger than a Marriott Residence Inn, but there's no free breakfast in the morning. Hotel shares Indoor Pool, Sauna, Whirlpool, Steam Room and Fitness Center with the Novotel next door. There is a small cafe in the lobby, but food is better at the Novotel. Les Suites is located in the heart of downtown overlooking Byward Market and walking distance to stores, restaurants, Rideau Centre and all government offices. I didn't drive, so I don't know the hotel parking rate (but if you are flying in a cab from the airport is $25 CDN).” Sep 19, 2004 by
Felix M. from Sinking Spring, PA “Les Suites turned out to be a great value with a great location and the added bonus of a washer and dryers in the room, which came in very handy after four days on the road. It was within walking distance of the Parliament Building, the Market area in downtown Ottawa, a major shopping mall and all the choices of restaurants one could expect. It was an all around winner for us on our vacation.”
