“In reply to who ever was talking about the noisy room. You should have done the smart thing, and booked a room in the GOLD section like me!” Feb 9, 2007 by

“World class. First rate. Ottawa is a great city. Lots of fun, summer or winter.” Oct 4, 2006 by

“Room 252 at the Fairmont could possibly be the worst hotel room in the city. The radiator sounded like an airplane taking off. And one of the windows would not close, leaving all of the sounds of the Very busy street below to permeate the room and your skull (making it impossible to sleep). Having been sleepless on Friday night, I was exhausted on Saturday, a day which I should have enjoyed in this beautiful city. The elevator in the hotel garage was out of order, so all luggage had to be hand carried up the stairs upon check-out. The waitress staff in the tea-room was extraordinarily rude, bringing only one menu over for our group of three, and then not returning to take our lunch order for over 15 minutes. Ultimately we left and ate lunch at other place. I have stayed at 7 other Fairmont's, and highly enjoyed each stay. In my whole life, this was the worst single hotel stay of all.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Aug 28, 2006 by
