• Had an issue with the AC unit shutting off at 3 am.

• I like the location and kitchen.
• Unclean carpet.

“The carpet in front of bathroom sink give me a very uncomfortable feeling It had some stain in the carpet that's very disgusting. It also on bed skirt and window curtain. Also in the other room carpet have some sticky thing on it when you not aware you step on it, its very nasty. Over all its uncomfortable.”

• Clean, large rooms with a lot of helpful amenities.
• Lobby area was small and not very inviting.

“This hotel was a nice surprise. It was relatively new, quiet and very clean. The room was quite large and very comfortable. The full breakfast was a bonus with a great selection of both hot and cold foods. Will definitely tell friends and family about this one.”

• I loved the breakfast although they need to have steak sauce with eggs.

• Spacious rooms, great breakfast, convenient location.
• Dining room was too small.

“Overall, a great hotel for families. Full kitchen with regular sized refrigerator. Room comes with a double sized sofa bed which can easily accommodate a family of 4. Rooms and common area are clean, staff is friendly.”

• Clean, new and friendly staff. Good breakfast supplied. Good facilities. Homey lay out, seems personal.
• A car is preferred, if staying a this hotel. Buses are infrequent.

“Friendly staff. Clean facilities (gym, pool, hot tub). Free breakfast has good selection. Room is clean and layout is like a home. Good value for the price. Location is a bit far out. A car is useful. Bus stops infrequently.”

• Conveniently located to everything, we all loved the buffet breakfast & all day coffee provided.
• Staff in the restaurant were pushing us to eat as we were not finished our breakfast at their closing time, she even switch off the TV even we watched.

“We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful; they always remember the childrens names. They have a free buffet breakfast every morning, a clean building and are centrally located between all the 400 series highways.”

• What? No in-room massage service?

“This hotel/staff were far above my expectations! Courteous staff. Spacious rooms. Amazing breakfast (those breakfast burritos are to die for!) And conveniently located to all the sight-seeing venues! This hotel is perfect for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but still be close enough to various downtown points of interest. We'll definitely be staying here again soon!”

• For the price that we got this studio room it is amazing! The comfort, the room, very clean and safe. Good service.

• We loved the free hot buffet breakfast. We also loved the full kitchen in our room.
• Windows are very drafty.

“This hotel wonderfully met our family's needs and exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable. With a complete kitchen in the room we were able to conveniently have a few meals and snacks for our young children in the room. The staff even does your dishes when they clean the room! The free hot breakfast included eggs, potatoes, sausage and more. Excellent value!”

• The lack of wireless internet.

“I stayed at Residence Inn Toronto Markham 4 nights after having a surgery in New market. This hotel is awesome, the best you could get for the money. The only small complain is the lack of wireless Internet. We had two laptops, so with only one LAN jack, we could only use one at a time. Also, make sure you bring at least 25 ft patch cord if you want to surf Internet from your bed. Other than that: A+.”

“The suite was large and comfortable with a full kitchen for cooking if you so desired. Would be very comfortable for a long stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent with coral, eggs, fruit, muffins, bagels, toast, waffles, etc.”

• Nice kitchen, very well equipped.
• No 2 double bed room in the hotel.

“The lobby is small, but with wired internet in the room is a big +. I wanted 2 bed room, but I only get a queen size bed room. I called the hotel prior my stay and they can't arrange anything for a double bed room. The receptionist seems on the rush.”

• Loved the free hot buffet breakfast, the free popcorn in the room, separate bedroom, and room for toilet.
• Loved it all.

“The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was centrally located in Markham, about 3 minutes from the 404 amidst many restaurants and shopping plazas. It had several nice touches inside, including free popcorn for use in the microwave that is in the suite. The toiletries are very nice as well.”

• I liked that the hotel was all suites.
• I did not notice any faults.

“The Residence Inn at Markham, Ontario, just north of Toronto, was a real treat. The parking was free and all accommodations were suites complete with a full sized refrigerator. Everything was very clean. Staffs maintained a comfortable and respectful distance but were available if needed. Travel time to Toronto varied depending on time of day, day of the week, and route taken. Yonge St. was not far away and provided a slow but steady way to downtown Toronto, with plenty to look at along the way. The Gardiner Expressway is also nearby, but during business days was clogged with traffic. The hotel was excellent.”

• Room was spacious - continental breakfast was great.
• Construction on one of the elevators - only one working.

“Perfect for extended family or business stays, the large room with living area and kitchen was cozy and super clean. Amenities such as an indoor pool/Jacuzzi, complimentary internet in the lounge and free continental breakfast make this hotel a great place to stay. They even have a market area where you can pick up supplies/food for your kitchen and just charge the bill. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others.”

“The rooms were clean and new. And we weren't even expecting a breakfast, but they provided an excellent hot breakfast. Also, there was free coffee and tea available 24 hrs. Will definitely go back!”

• The nice breakfast buffet and easy location direct from the 407, great parking.
• The furnace was noisy and you could hear through the walls other guests showering and flushing toilets.

“It was great but I didn't like the noises at night when I tried to sleep the furnace was in a closet or something and the walls were very thin.”

• Only one computer for the traveler, must increase the numbers.

“The environment is pleasant, and the quality of the room is very good, the only improvement that I think of is the numbers of computer and should provide free printing. I have free printing in a one star Inn before.”

• Couldn't see the TV from the bed or from the sofa.

“This residence inn is a wonderful place to stay. It is convenient to highways but secluded enough that you aren't bothered by traffic noise. It is also located within walking distance of a few restaurants. As in all Marriott franchised properties the beds and pillows are oh so comfortable. All rooms are now smoking free, although I suspect that my room once was a smoking room. The free hot & cold breakfast is excellent & a welcome change from other establishments which offer only cold cereals and muffins. I was surprised that no shower cap was supplied, but the room and the well equipped kitchen more than made up for this oversight. The only strange thing was that the TV faced neither the bed nor the sofa and didn't swivel. Even so, I¿d stay here again.”
