“I go to Montreal quite a bit with friends for long weekends. I have stayed in many hotels down town and have stayed a the Sandman 3-4 times. Overall, I think the sandman is the best value and place to stay. Many of the hotels right in the city are double the price and not as clean. The Sandman is very clean is located right outside of a metro stop. We usually take the Metro into town for a night out and then get a taxi back to the hotel. The taxi usually costs about $20 Canadian dollars. Even when I stay right in the city I end up taking a taxi at night so it is not that big of a deal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Montreal!” Jul 21, 2006 by

“I have stayed at this hotel several times. It has always been my first choice when visiting Montreal. Since it is literally footsteps away from the Metro (subway), it is a great alternative to higher priced accommodations downtown. Restaurant and reception personnel are completely bilingual, although housekeeping may not be. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and there are great views from upper floors. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 9, 2006 by

“We had a nice stay at the sandman. It was clean and comfortable. It was right next to a metro station that would take you right into downtown montreal. There wasn't anything near the hotel except the metro which had a McDonalds and a few other convience type stuff in it. The hotel had a nice resteraunt with good food, so if you didn't want to go out you didn't have to. `” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 19, 2005 by

“I like the location of the hotel. It is convenient to all travelers. Near subway and bus stations. Grocery store is nearby, too. Bridge view from the hotel room is nice. But the hotel need major renovation.” 0 of 2 people found this review helpful.Mar 7, 2005 by

“Short drive to downtown Montreal but hotel is right next to mass transit depot. Ask for room on upper levels facing city for superb view of river and Montreal.” Dec 1, 2004 by
Marcel L. from Miami “Hotel was great! But it was a little bat farther out of Montreal than I thought... We needed to take the subway into the city.” Dec 1, 2004 by
Szu Ann C. from Los Angeles “Extreme convenience to the Metro which made our trips into Montreal easy and fast. The metro stop is literally right across the front door. Clean and fairly recently renovated. The pool is nice. I only wish the housekeeping staff wouldn't walk down the halls knocking on every door yelling "housekeeping" at 7am.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
