• It was easy to find.
• I had to pay for parking, the room was quite small, the interior looks quite aged.

“I would recommend the hotel for more family orientated on a tight budget when traveling it was easy to find, it looks great from the outside, the rooms were very clean, but the staff member I dealt with was not very welcoming.”

• Convenient airport shuttle, great free breakfast, free wireless internet.
• Coke machines didn't work because they'd all been vandalized.

“We had a great stay. We had an early morning flight and found this hotel suited us perfectly. We were able to have a good sleep, enjoy a delicious breakfast and take the airport shuttle to the airport in the morning.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Poorly maintained, worn out, and dirty. Both elevators out for a day or so.

“Worst hotel ever stayed in and I stay in a lot of hotels. Everything is very old, worn out, and pretty dirty. One elevator has been out for months and the second elevator went out for a day or so while I was there. I was on the 6th floor with no elevator.”

• I liked that they had a free airport shuttle.
• The free wireless internet was difficult to connect to.

“This hotel is not the higher quality hotels like you'd find at Holiday Inn or Marriott but in terms of value for the money, this place was definitely cleaner than Motel 6, Super 8 or a no-name motel. It had a free airport shuttle which ran every hour, which is a big plus, and while the rooms are small, they are very adequate for business travelers or budget travelers.”

• It was conveniently close to the airport.
• Like most hotel rooms, the room was sterile - i.e.. not homey.

“We were looking for a place to stay near to the airport in order to make an early departure time. So this hotel's proximity to the airport was ideal for this and the sleeping accommodations were just fine for the small amount of time we'd be spending in the room.”

• Staff screaming, meaningless threats at drunkards in the lobby.

“Hotel is under maintained and staff seemed to lack training in customer relations, though were pleasant enough once we got their attention. Room was quiet, a bit small, as expected for a 1 star facility. Internet access was good. Bathroom wall needed better cleaning, but everything else seemed well cleaned. This would be a great facility if they could train the staff in handling troublesome clients (drunks in the lobby later in the evening) and invested a bit more in maintaining the public areas. On the other hand, the price would probably rise then, too, so maybe this is a good trade off, since the room was in reasonable shape and we didn't need to stay in the lobby.”

• The front entry.
• They were not very aware of the customers. Had to wait for them to finish their chat.

• It was cheap.
• The front desk overcharged me (for an additional night I stayed).

“They need to have automatic doors, or someone to open them, when you have a good deal of luggage and have to fumble with the doors. That is no good. It was an okay place, nothing to write home about. Pretty noisy too.”

• The hotel offered free parking and shuttle to the airport.
• The food in the restaurant was reheated in a microwave and tasted old.

“I would recommend the hotel to a traveler looking to have a safe place to stay and a parking spot for their vehicle while away the staff were friendly ands the rooms clean with lots of good dining in the immediately area.”

• Amazing breakfast deal, very nice pool, also very clean.
• Beds were very uncomfortable, rooms a little small.

“If your looking for a family friendly hotel on a budget this is the place you want to stay! Our room was a bit small but literally spotless, it was also tastefully decorated without the usual cheap hotel cheese factor. The employees were helpful and very pleasant and their continental breakfast was spectacular!”

• I liked that there was a computer in the lobby.
• The airport shuttle was in operational and there was a mix-up with the taxi fare.

“. The price was reasonable for the accommodations. The only problem I had was that the reason I chose the hotel was because it had an airport shuttle. The shuttle was not available on the morning I checked out. The hotel was to pay for my taxi fare but the taxi driver charged me for the fare anyway. When I called back to the hotel to complain, I was told I could not get a refund unless I returned to the hotel which was impossible. I asked that the general manager call me and she has not. The customer service level of the manager did not meet my expectations.”

“We weren't in the room much, so it was ok. I definitely would not have been satisfied with the room if I had had to pay the going rate. We overlooked the need for renovations and the lackluster service.”

• Close to the airport. 1 Star hotel that is really like a 3 star.
• Staff is unfriendly and have no class.

“Hotel is very well located near the airport with restaurants nearby. Hotel is very large with elevators and large lobby. Restaurant is very good and well maintained. Will stay there again.”

• Free internet. Friendly staff. Free cookies on counter. Nice restaurant/lounge.
• Staff did not specifically direct us to open, late night breakfast restaurant (Denny's) and next day we find two Denny's near hotel.

“Arrived around midnight. Quick check in. Small but pleasant enough room. Quick check out and free high speed internet use as cell phone service roaming in Canada. Staff also provided direction to Banff although did not have complimentary map as I assume that Banff is a popular destination.”

• Staff were very personable(friendly). Accomodating.
• Lack of a shuttle downtown restricts access to things tourist and business.

“The coffee was good and welcome from the lobby. The staff were helpful in answering questions and never once did the reply 'I just work here' ever come up.Without a map it is very unclear where the Hotel is in relation to the downtown core, shopping, tourism sites, food etc...The restaurant is built for people with good eyes and taller. My parents could not see the napkins and I finally resorted to a stack of news papers to raise my father higher to eat more comfortably.It took a couple of days to loose the strong mildew smell in our rooms.”

• The staff and atmosphere.
• There wasn't a couch to relax on just a bed.

“The hotel was excellent except there is no couch in the room to relax and watch TV. We had to sit or lay in bed and watch which isn't a big deal. The hotel restaurant was excellent the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless and the housekeepers very attentive and clean.”

• The shuttle service to and from the airport 10 minutes away is convenient.
• The smoking rooms have faint cigarette smoke smells -I don''t smoke - this was not a problem

“Located close to both the Calgary International Airport and the Trans Canada Highway this hotel has always served me well. I always get into the CIA late and tired; but I know I can pick up the direct line for the shuttle and soon be sleeping. The clean, quiet rooms are perfect.”
