“Being a Hilton, I expected a higher end hotel. Although I was disappointed in this, the rooms were very clean and spacious. The elevators and hallway were also spotless. It was also very quiet. All very good and important to me. The lobby was very sparse with no flowers or personality at all. The outside had no street appeal either.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Kelly from Duncan, BC CA
“I thought overall it was a good experience. We were able to check in as early as 9:30 AM or so, I cannot quite remember when we arrived but it was much before 11 AM. We did not need to interact with the staff much, but pretty much the hotel had an easy to find location, the room was easy to find and the hotel was clean and comfortable. I also did not feel like I was getting nickel and dimed. The staff was honest and responsive.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Precy “This hotel is what I expected it to be.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Qingmai from Waterloo, ON CA
“They charge extra for two beds.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Roger from Redmond, WA
“I was looking for a place to stay in Vancouver for the Labor Day weekend. Due to the holiday weekend, hotels in downtown were very pricy and out of my budget. I wanted a place that was downtown - accessible, while having affordable rates and car parking. I settled on the Hilton Metro town since it was only a block or so from the Sky train station, which provides direct access to the downtown stations in 15 minutes. Overall, the hotel is inexpensive and in a convenient location, while being close to a number of shopping malls.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Dana from Winchester, MA
“Quiet room with excellent beds. Very clean bathroom and plenty of pillows and towels! Beautiful view from our 10th storey room.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Jason from Bellevue, WA
“Highly recommended. Great proximity to shops in a clean neighborhood. Helpful staff, nice lap pool and we had a free upgrade.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Jennifer from Nanaimo, BC CA
“Was sent on a wild goose chase for over height parking that they said was 3 blocks away. Even with the map that they supplied which was completely wrong had to come back and talk to a very helpful bell hop who gave me the correct directions. All this took 1 hour of my time and when I complained they said that they would reverse the 10$ charge for parking. One hour of my time is worth a lot more than 10$. The map that they supplied had a square on it where the parking was but they drew their own directions on it and sent me about 3 blocks away from it!” Jul 23, 2008 by
Maheswara J. from Issaquah, WA
“Every time me or my wife took a shower, there would be a water puddle on the bathroom floor. Luckily, we stayed only for a single night.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Anshul from Issaquah, WA
“Decent location.” Oct 16, 2007 by
Arthur from Vancouver, BC CA
“We appreciated the location (close to the very fast and very frequent public transport, light rail into downtown Vancouver and to shops and restaurants) very much. The room itself though was not clean/ seemed unused for some time. Our request to have it thoroughly vacuum cleaned was met with some not entirely genuine disbelief but improved the living conditions considerably. The atmosphere in the room was rather unfresh, which made you want to open the windows which you couldn't.” Oct 11, 2007 by
Pauline from Chalfont, PA
“I was extremely amazed at how spacious and clean this hotel and my room were. The treatment that I got made me feel like it was a 4 star hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely wouldn't mind staying here again!” Oct 8, 2007 by
Bennett from Lummi Island, WA
“If going to Vancouver for shopping or sightseeing this hotel is a good choice because convenience of transportation and shops. If driving to and from it is difficult to access without map quest etc. Because lots of turns in the last 3 or 4 miles getting to it or from it.” Oct 7, 2007 by
Reynold from Millbrae, CA
“Mixed review excellent room and staff, but bad restaurant and too far from airport and downtown.” Oct 4, 2007 by
Katie from Kamloops, BC CA
“Good Hilton quality solid 3* hotel. Check in was smooth and room is nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, TV and free internet. Downside is that there is no balcony or mini fridge. Nice views and close to metro town. Perfect for those who need to be in Burnaby, about a 30 min drive to Vancouver downtown.” Oct 3, 2007 by
Rebecca T. from Argyle, TX
“It was a great hotel and everyone was so nice.” Sep 26, 2007 by
Nikki from Redmond, WA
“The hotel was ok - but they gave me a hard time upon check in when I requested 2 queen beds. They said my reservation was only for a king bed, and that if I wanted queen beds, they were going to charge me $20 more per night.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Carlos from Los Angeles, CA
“If you are a business traveler the location might be right for you. Staff is really helpful, and the place is clean. I was on the 10th floor facing the street and I could hear noise from the street below, to me thats unacceptable. Also, the walls and doors are thin and noise comes in the rooms easily. Dont get a room near the elevator as you will be annoyed by the loud beep that the elevator makes when it arrives, plus people getting on and off it and talking loudly is annoying, I dealt with this every morning when people would start leaving at around 7 a.m. and on. Parking is free, below the hotel, but a little tight if you are driving an SUV like I was. The area surrounding the hotel is very developed and not of any real beauty, lots of Asian stores, and a mall attached to the hotel that is 100% Asian, even the signs are all in Asian. Across the street, you have the Metro center, which is a huge, I mean huge get lost easy kind of mall, they have everything, from gap, Banana Republic, markets, etc. You will also find a Starbucks across the street, and many around town. There is also a sky train stop on one end of the Metro center, which conveniently takes you to all the major attractions downtown, and to the water front. I want to warn you that the restaurant at the Hotel is nice, and service is good, but the portions are skimpy and over priced, maybe go for the buffet instead, and eat as much as you can. This hotel, was clean, staff was good, but noisy. Would I stay here again maybe, but would not pay the same rate. I stayed 2 nights at a Radisson in the Seattle airport area before this hotel, and paid almost half and had just as pleasant experience, with out the noise, and with wireless internet on every floor, which the Hilton didnt have. Yes the Hilton was a tad better in aesthetics, but not much and they only had wireless internet in a small area near the front counter, but they did have 3 free terminals for guest to use in the lobby.” Aug 24, 2007 by
Fred from Chicago, IL
“Great hotel! The desk person upgraded us to a suite but when it ended up being a smoking suite she upgraded us again to a suite on the concierge floor. Great room with magnificent view. Free parking. Unless you really need to be downtown, this is the place to stay.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Donhogo from Corvallis, OR
“Excellent rooms, beds, parking, staff, and brunch.” Apr 19, 2007 by
Suzanne from Normandy Park, WA
“I was parked in the Hilton¿s underground garage. Sometime between 11:00pm Sunday and 8:30am Monday, someone broke into my car. They stole a few cads. ” Mar 24, 2007 by
Ralph from Blaine, WA
“Nice location with unimpressive perks. Their "gym" is basically a couple of elliptical in a closet. The swimming facility is a spa and a lap pool outdoors. In a city that sees three days of rain for every sunny day I think an outdoor pool is useless. The two people working the desk were the only staff I saw and they were nice enough but none seem willing to make any more effort beyond telling me my room # and handing over my room keys.” Jan 19, 2007 by
Nola from Lakewood, WA
“Excellent experience! Super clean room, great food, good location, underground parking included with room charge. The ice machine was not working on our floor so I called the front desk to report it. By the time I got back from filling my ice bucket from the floor below, there was a maintenance man fixing the ice machine. It was up and running within a half hour. Great customer service!” 4 of 4 people found this review helpful.Dec 14, 2006 by

“This is a very nice hotel- the rooms are large, modern, and very comfortable. Don't pay for valet parking- you can self park in the hotel garage for free. Very large Asian population in the area- nearly all the shops and restaurants are Asian.” Sep 21, 2006 by
Paxton from Seattle, WA
“Should be 4 stars instead of 3.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Shelli from Edmonds, WA
“Great.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Liz from Tacoma, WA
“This was my first stay at this hotel. It is very modern with lots of tile and extra touches in the rooms. Our room was big and we had a nice view. Everything was clean. We enjoyed swimming in the lap pool. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered breakfast off the menu, but my poached eggs were obviously pre-cooked and taken from the steam table (complete w/ béarnaise sauce). Also, cheesecake ordered from room service tasted like an old refrigerator. It's a bit far from downtown, but the sky train is right there and easier than driving.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Allen from Reston, VA
“The hotel is in Metro town (new Chinatown in Vancouver) which is about 8 miles from downtown Vancouver. You'll probably need a car if you plan on sightseeing in Vancouver. There's a shopping mall next to the hotel with lots of Asian shops, grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Garage parking and internet access are free. The most annoying thing about the hotel is the key to activate the elevator does not work properly. Overcall, I think it's a very good hotel for the price I paid.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Mami from Bellevue, WA
“If you like to take Sky Tran to go to downtown, this is greater place to stay. This is the best hotel I've ever stay with this reasonable price.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Lonnie from Simi Valley, CA
“Over all I like the hotel's location. It is very convenient to go to shop around there by walking. No parking fee while you stay there.” Aug 9, 2006 by
David from Seattle, WA
“The hotel itself was fine, however, when I arrived, I was told they were booked for the night and that my room was an "executive suite," which meant it had a pull out sofa and NO bed. What kind of hotel room doesn't have a bed? It took some complaining, but my room was eventually switched.” Jul 23, 2006 by
Sharon from Williamsburg, VA
“The hotel was fine - but it was located in a suburban area that was not convenient for a traveler who was interested in touring Vancouver. The Skyway train stop (Metrotown) was a short walk from the hotel. There were about 5 stops from Vancouver to Metro town. I would only recommend this hotel if the affordable price was worth the inconvenience.” Jul 21, 2006 by
Juan from Nogales, AZ
“Is a very good hotel for true services.” Jul 20, 2006 by
Andy from Redondo Beach, CA
“Just a very clean Hotel at a very good location.” Jul 7, 2006 by
Michelle from Sacramento, CA
“Nice hotel. Limited menu at restaurant, but fantastic (and very reasonably priced) room service menu.” Jul 6, 2006 by
Nicole from Bothell, WA
“I liked the hotel except they did not ask me whether I needed a king or two doubles. I needed two doubles and they wouldn't change the room.” Jun 15, 2006 by
Ernest from Sammamish, WA
“A great hotel with an attached mall that has a host of Asian food vendors as well as a local market. Conveniently located a short walk away from Metro town and the Metro town sky train station.” Jun 7, 2006 by
Thuy from Santa Ana, CA
“Front lobby needs too be more attractive, more impressive to attract customer to come back.” May 23, 2006 by
Turns from Blaine, WA
“Excellent location and facilities with exceptionally friendly / helpful staff.” May 16, 2006 by
Nathan from Placerville, CA
“Great stay. Clean hotel with great service and very close to huge mall with over 500.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 16, 2006 by
Tim from Columbia, MD “We did not stay at this hotel! Our son was in a serious motorcycle accident the week before and we had to cancel everything we planned to do. It would be nice if we could get some kind of credit for our expenses, but we know that God will provide our needs. Our son is still unconscious, and still has more surgeries ahead. He suffered a massive stroke and may never be able to use his left side, but we are praying for a full recovery. Sincerely, Tim & Debbie McQuitty.” 1 of 6 people found this review helpful.May 9, 2006 by
Keith from Everett, WA
“Have stayed here several times before and have not been disappointed. There are 470 stores across the street as well as two theaters. If you want to go into Vancouver the sky train access is two short block away. The hotel staff is very courteous and asks if there is anything else you need. The restaurant is very good with an excellent Sunday Brunch.” Jan 5, 2006 by
Kadri from Eugene, OR
“It is a nice hotel and bargain for the money we paid for. It is not luxurious, but did have hot tub and lap pool outside. Easy access to Sky train which takes you in 15 min to downtown Vancouver, BC. The room had a great view and it was surprisingly quiet there.” Dec 17, 2005 by
Robert from Ordway, CO
“Conveniently located to metropolis shopping centre, cinemas, metro sky train to downtown, eating areas and parks. Wireless internet friendly, and friendly staff.”
