• It was conveniently located near the airport and had free taxi service to the airport. Overall very good.
• The lobby was small, not very great neighborhood.

• Location.
• Friend & myself had to share a bed.

“After booking, I called and asked for 2 beds on the ground floor. I have a bad back & did not want to carry heavy luggage up the stairs . I was assured this was taken care of! When I got there, I was booked on the second floor. I said this was unacceptable. A guy was just leaving a ground floor room. We took it but it only had one bed! I never want to stay there again!”

• Close to airport.
• Problems with TV.

“Staff was helpful with recommendations and directions for restaurants. Rooms were tastefully decorated. Beds were comfortable and clean. Internet was supposed to be free but you had to go to the desk to get an Ethernet cord - an inconvenience. Bathroom was spotless and there were plenty of towels. There was an ironing board and iron. There was a coffee pot available but we didn't use it.”

• I liked the gentleman at the counter, he was friendly and helpful.

• Front doors should open/push in, easier entry when hands full of luggage.

“Highly recommend this hotel 4 location, cleanliness, pleasant staff (maintenance man got us a frig/microwave, on short notice for our room), quiet, secure feeling, as security was on duty both inside/outside at all times and helpful. Great stay, will be back.”

• The staff was exceptionally helpful.
• No elevator, noisy air conditioning.

“The staff went out of their way to help me and was friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast was adequate, with staff on hand to assist, too. The beds were comfortable and the hotel generally quiet, although the air conditioning was quite noisy and the outside pedestrian crossing sounds could be heard with the window closed, so making it difficult for light sleepers.”

• The suite was very clean and room was ample size.
• The room was a smoking room and those that are sensitive to smoke will not be comfortable in.

“The location of this hotel is close to the St. James area of Winnipeg. Close to Polo Park and Downtown. The rooms are of fairly large and beds are very comfortable. The room had access to internet and the TV had cable. Coffee maker and clock radio are all included. The washroom fixtures are older and not very upscale but works well and had no problems with them.”

• Put into a smoking room.

“Everything was ok with the stay at this hotel, though it wasn't the fault of the hotel that some people went through the parking lot at night and cut tires on at least 6 or 7 cars, including mine. The hotel at least gave us 50% off the next stay to make up for it. Unfortunately, we were requested a smoking double, and no non-smoking rooms were available. Ok breakfast, comfortable bed to sleep on, clean bathroom, what more can you ask for?”

• Easy to find once we knew where we were at.
• Very poor customer relations.

“Early one morning, someone slashed two of our tires on our vehicle. The hotel had signs stating they had surveillance cameras and we also had to pay to park in the hotel parking lot. The hotel staff and management basically told us it was our responsibility to find a place to purchase new tires at our expense. I would've thought since we had to pay for parking there, that the hotel would be responsible for making sure our vehicles would be safe. My family also had reserved 3 rooms. The staff said that the tire slashing had nothing to do with the other rooms so they had to check out by 11:00 Sunday morning. So my other family members had to move their stuff into our room for the rest of the day. Nine people in a room are a little crowded. The staff and management at this hotel were very unaccommodating. I'll never stay there again.”

• It was close to the hotel and did include a nice breakfast!
• Very noisy location on a major intersection.

“The breakfast had a great selection and left me satisfied on both mornings. The rooms are a good size as well as the bathroom and it is very clean all-around. Free internet access and local calls so that was great. I guess the fact that I couldn't sleep as quickly due to the excessive traffic is the culprit.”

• Its close to the airport and the city transit is right outside of the hotel.
• They allow smoking in some rooms on each floor which makes it smell abet.

• Cleanliness.

“Bathroom was very dirty, hair on floor. Used towel and put them on floor to be replaced. They just hung them up. No discount. Friends called us from airport to pick them up. Hotel said we had checked out. In fact we were waiting for their call. Was not impressed. Have booked another night in a few weeks there but really would rather not stay there.”

“This hotel is close to the zoo, and the airport. Not in the central part of the city which is nice. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that they didn't have a pool. Other than that the stay was great!”

• Convenient to airport, most helpful and knowledgeable front office staff.
• It was a positive experience and I recommended it to two associates.

“The hotel is clean and moderate met all my expectations and the front office staff were most accommodating and helpful. It also was quiet which was most appreciated. I recommend this hotel to all my friends and associates and in fact it was recommended to me by a relative.”

• Stench of smoking throughout hallways; dirty carpets.

“Thanks for providing the opportunity to complain. We were given 2 smoking rooms. Several family members wanted to leave after the 1st night. We all were upset. On 2nd night 5 a.m. The headboard crashed down on the sleeping children. They promised daily newspapers never came to our floor, although we saw them on the floor below.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful to give directions to restaurants.
• The mattress was a little softer than I like.

“Conveniently located close to the airport, but no shuttle service is available. Not all rooms have the microwave and fridge but they are working on upgrading so that all have them included. It was a good deal for the money we paid--room was clean and nicely decorated.”

• Location is in industrial area near major trucking route.

“Our room overlooked the parking lot and the next building but it was very quiet as promised, except for the noise created by the 3 am argument which happened across the hall from us. Fortunately, before we could call the front desk, the squabble was over and all was quiet again. ”

• Rooms not ready and inadequate size.

“Given rooms with 1 bed and 1 pull out sofa which lacked bedding, but the staff was quick to correct. Would prefer 2 beds, rooms themselves were very small compared to the Super 8 and Days inn that I also used on this trip. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Best continental breakfast yet great selection including boiled eggs.”

• Great continental breakfast with hardboiled eggs, waffles, etc.
• Located in industrial area close to airport but near stadium, restaurants.

“Staff was helpful, rooms were quiet, and the continental breakfast was better than most. We'd choose it again if we needed a hotel close to the airport for an early or late flight. It's less than five minutes to the airport.”

• No frills but had efficient and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and rated properly.
• Free transportation to/from airport not obvious. Need to call to understand process.

“This hotel is located a very short distance from the airport and they provide airport shuttle service. Great place to stay for a quick and inexpensive overnight. They do offer a free continental breakfast and have a computer/Internet for use next to check-in. Nice little place and I would stay there again for the price paid.”
