• Outstanding service, excellent restaurant.
• This property met our every need!

“We checked in mid evening, I did not like my 1st room and was moved that evening to another room. The next morning I told the desk I was not pleased with the 2nd room and they willingly moved us to the 3rd room which was perfect. View of the harbor and the space needle to boot. This was/is a wonderful property that served the best fresh halibut my wife and I have ever tasted. Great concierge service too and the front desk people could not have been nicer. Beware of the gift shop; delightful jewelry and amazing glass objects, it was well worth it. My gifted glass paper weight and my wife's gifted necklace and earrings are reminders of a wonderful visit.”

• Great view of mountains.
• The amount they charged for parking my car in their garage.

“My wife and I loved our stay here. The room on the 14th floor had a great view of the bay and mountains as well as the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again. The only negative thing was the charge(I thought it was a little to much) for parking our car in their garage. We thought the four star rating was well deserved.”

• Everything: Staff, the room, bathroom products, pool/hot tub/steam room, gym, etc.
• We went to use the steam room in the morning and it wasn't working. They tried to fix it but were unable to being a Sunday.

• It was bright and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

“The hotel is very clean and so was the swimming pool. It is located downtown but not in front of the Harbor. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Victoria.”

• The location was great, they gave us early check-in, staff was very friendly, room was very nice.
• No view from the room, but this was not a significant issue.

• Extraordinarily clean and comfortable in a great location.
• Elevators are a little slow during peak times.

“The second best hotel in Victoria (bar none)! This property is relatively new (less than 2 years old) and is spectacularly clean and well appointed. It is just one block behind the Empress on the Inner Harbor so you can still walk everywhere from here. The rooms are very, very clean and comfortable. The furnishings are notches above typical hotel fare and the beds are super plush. The staff was extra friendly, helping us find places to eat and ways to get around the places we wanted to go. The city itself is spectacular and this hotel is the city's newest crown jewel.”

• Remarkably clean, staff extremely pleasant and helpful, good location.
• Becoming surrounded by condominium towers, losing the view from many angles.

“Very corporate, pleasantly standard upscale facilities were more than enhanced by good location, extremely helpful and pleasant staff, and remarkably clean rooms. Bedding was soft and as expected for this class of hotel. Views are being lost as towers are built around it, but overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a pleasant, easy, and comfortable stay in a corporate/business type environment.”

“Our stay at the Marriott was great, it was centrally located in Victoria Harbor and every thing was within walking distance. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful to answer all or our questions. The food in the hotel was awesome, try the Clam Chowder or the Mushroom soup, delicious. The rooms were very clean and a good size for what we asked for. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Victoria.”

• The hotel room was immaculately clean, beds were so comfortable with down comforters, staff was always accommodating, and check-out is 12:00.
• No table or chairs to sit on the balcony.

“Beautiful hotel with a lovely location - easy walk to all the attractions, we even took the city bus from the airport for $6.00 for 2 adults and 2 children and there was a bus stop right across the street from the hotel.”

• Extremely comfortable rooms with attention to fine detail.
• The view of the harbor is obscured by the empress.

“If you are traveling on business this is clearly the hotel you want to stay at. This is the nicest business hotel in town. The rooms are plush and the beds are oh so soft. There may be places closer to the water or places that are a little cheaper, but you should do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the Victoria Marriott, you won't be disappointed.”

• We liked full length windows that will one day have a good view.
• Right now all you can see out the windows is construction.

• The downtown location & and the decor were excellent.
• Construction noise from a site across the street.

“This hotel is clearly in the four star class. The room decor and amenities were superb. The free high-speed wire line internet service was greatly appreciated. The staff was friendly and efficient. The in-hotel restaurant was fine, and there were plenty of alternatives near-by at the hotels convenient downtown location. The only negative point was construction noise from across the street.”

• Front desk staffing poor, long waits in lines, poor training.

“Hotel was nice and clean and very comfortable. Had a small, but nice pool, sauna and hot tub. The hotel was centrally located and near the bus depot (for trip to Butchart Gardens) and near the waterfront. Belle staff and maids were very friendly. However, each time we went to the concierge or the front desk we experienced long waits in lines. After inquiring on a good dim sum restaurant, concierge directed us to a Chinese restaurant that had closed their dim sum for the day. Front desk had to re-do our check in 3 times over a 2 day period as they kept entering the wrong information. We tried for an early check in the first day (at 2:00 pm) and they said room was not available. We came back at 5:00 p.m. and they said the room was still not available. After complaining, they found us a room. Overall a good hotel, just a bad experience with the front desk staff.”

• They were not helpful at getting us a king size bed instead of a double.

“Overall the hotel was great. The front desk clerk was not helpful in getting us a room with more than a double bed. They also had a pretty empty hotel and would not allow us to switch room. Otherwise the condition of the room was great and the location was perfect.”

• The staff was helpful, eager to make suggestions and give directions.
• The hotel was great, only suggestion would be slightly lower room service prices.

“Room was very clean and attractive. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom spacious and quite pretty. I had a room with a small balcony and I left the window ajar to enjoy the evening breezes. The morning buffet was good with a very nice selection. My 2 year old granddaughter loved it too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Construction going on nearby - nothing pretty to look at out the window.

“This is a brand new hotel located in the heart of Victoria¿s tourist district. Everything in the room was new and tasteful and up to our expectations of what a four star hotel should be. The bed was wonderfully comfy. All attractions & the harbor front are a short walk away. Only downside would be that there's construction & ugly buildings out the window (so we kept the curtains closed). Nice breakfast with friendly service.”

• The mini bar was cleared before my arrival.

“Except for the fact that the mini bar was cleared in preparation of my arrival, the hotel was great. It was near many of the tourist attractions and was clean and well staffed. The concierge was helpful.”
