“First impression of the front lobby was very impressive. On top of that, the staff was very friendly and professional. The check in was fast and easy. The room was very clean with a high end bed collection and had a relaxing ambiance with a large bathroom. Internet pricing was reasonable and less expensive than most other hotels in the downtown Toronto area. My main complaint is the small tube TV in the room which was unacceptable for the caliber of this hotel and room. Also, the mini vault froze on me and I had to call the hotel staff to completely reset it. Thirdly, the view was really poor looking onto the back parking lot but this is something that's tied into the hotel's location. Lastly, the bathtub had no shower curtain and no jets, it was solely dedicated for bathing purposes. It would make more sense to have two showers and the option of the bath with jets - just a thought. All in all, I would stay at this hotel again.” Dec 6, 2009 by
Marc from Morin Heights,Canada
“Hotel is a great hotel. I do feel that the business centre internet costs and WiFi costs are too high. WiFi should be included in cost of room.” Sep 7, 2009 by
Jack from Cumming,GA
“Stayed there for 4 nights. I arrived at the hotel early thinking staff would be helpful to give me a room. Do not expect 5 star service. The room I was given was a courtyard view on the lowest floor possible. There were stains on the carpet and on the sides of the bed as well. The room did not smell fresh.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Gus from Barrington,IL
“The hotel was located in a very safe part of town the room was attractive and clean. The negatives were the poor performance of the ac,and the charges for Internet and parking.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Randy from East Amherst,NY
“Fantastic hotel located in the trendy and upscale neighborhood of Yorktown. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Easy to get around by public transportation or by foot. The pool is only a lap pool so if you are looking for a big splash area this may not be for you.” Aug 13, 2009 by
James from St. Thomas,Canada
“The house keeping did not leave clean glasses two nights in a row, or face cloths. When I called down to the front desk to get the items I got the run around telling me I had to phone more then one person to get the items. I had to speaker to the manager. Parking is over charged even for Toronto.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Susan from Waco,TX
“I would return here any time I got a chance. Excellent hotel.” Aug 11, 2009 by
Francis from Angola,NY
“Great location in a trendy neighborhood; easy access to subway; all the high end shops are doors away.” Aug 11, 2009 by
Marie from London,Canada
“Upon arrival had to scurry out of the car as there was a line up behind us, room wasn't ready and upon departure it took a long time for our car to arrive, considering 35 for parking. The room was well presented and appeared clean.” Jul 22, 2009 by
Tosha from Toronto,Canada
“Very good time spent there. Would definitely return. Fast check in and check out.” Jun 26, 2009 by

“The hotel was amazing. The room was very clean and well supplied. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The area was in a good location. The restaurant was very good. The pool was also good seeing, it was on the rooftop with lawn chairs. It is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it to everyone.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Raj from Locust Grove, VA
“Excellent hotel in good location. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and modern rooms. Staff appear friendly and would definitely stay there again.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Tanya from Rochester, NY
“I was really skeptical about this hotel. We normally stay at the hotel in Toronto and love it. But this hotel measured up really well. As I said before the staff was great from the front desk, to the concierge to the woman that cleaned our room. The restaurant was a little pricey. We ate breakfast there and the pancakes were fabulous but there are other restaurants that are nearby if you would liked to eat somewhere that is less expensive. I would definitely stay there again.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Toronto T. from Mississauga, ON CA
“Organized a Bachelorette party for a friend. Was a great stay. Enjoyed having 2 rooms side by side with a door in the middle for easy access. The restaurants in the hotel were a little pricey, but we managed to find cheaper restaurants around the area. The pool and sauna area were nice. I would've expected the sauna to be a lot bigger, it only fit 4 people max! Overall it was a nice experience. If you want to stay in the heart of Toronto, then this hotel is not the right place for you to stay.” May 21, 2008 by
Lynda from Montreal, QC CA
“This hotel has a dark feeling. Simply because there is not enough lighting throughout. The staff was helpful and friendly and kind. The room could have been larger and more brightly lit; the parking was too expensive as was the breakfast in room service. The location is excellent for Downtown / Yorkville area.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Laura from Rochester, NY
“A great location in the heart of Yorkville, close to shopping, museums, University of Toronto. The room was large and extremely comfortable with a feather bed and down pillows. Room service was quick and the food was excellent. I was sorry to have to leave.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Nov 12, 2005 by

“This hotel was chosen for its location to both fun and work. It is close to the Toronto General Hospital, Royal Ontario Museum and to all the wonderful shopping on Bloor Street (Chanel Boutique, Hermes, Max Mara, Prada, Montblanc Boutique, Tiffany & Co., Cole Haan, Lacoste, Godiva, Birks, Bulgari and Aveda. Stand on the south side and look north at Harry Rosen, Holt Renfrew, Christofle, Plaza Escada, Cartier, Bang & Olufsen, Roots, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Swarovski.).The parking is not great, but that's typical of downtown Toronto. Valet is expensive at $30 CDN. The internet was surprisingly not complimentary, as it is at the Front Street Intercontinental. The hotel staff were wonderful. They were able to accomodate my request for early check-in, late check out, double beds and a no-smoking room. The concierge staff bent over backwards to see to my requests for a rental car and spa services. This was a great find, and I would return to it in a Toronto minute.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 8, 2005 by
Hicham from Walnut Creek, CA
“I enjoyed my stay there. The hotel did not offer a lot of amenities. I was charged for the coffee bags that I used. Other hotels do not charge for such bags. At three dollars a bag, it adds up very fast.” Oct 20, 2005 by
Cathleen from Stow, OH
“The location isn't that great, but the room is above par. So if you want a great room and don't care about the location then this is the hotel for you.” Oct 15, 2005 by
Rick from Alexandria, VA
“Excellent location, delightful outdoor dining with an imaginative menu, extremely courteous and knowledgeable front of house staff. Housekeeping staff were charming and efficient.” Sep 28, 2005 by
Roger from Sunfish Lake, MN
“Aspires to be a four-star hotel, but really isn't. Needs refurnishing. Room badly designed. For example, TV can't be easily viewed from bed. Free newspapers delivered to room. Marvelous location, right by subway station serving both the blue and yellow lines and many fine stores, theaters. Internet cost C$15 per day.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 8, 2005 by
Misko from Canton, MI
“This hotel was excellent for the price we paid. The only bad thing is I would prefer to stay in more of a downtown location in Toronto by many of the things we wanted to do. Everyone made us feel like a king & queen.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 31, 2005 by

“HOtel was great - very good room, pool, sauna. Staff was very friendly. I would reccomend to anybody. Very comfortable bed, a lot of space in the room and bathroom. GO and stay there - you will love it.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Aug 19, 2005 by

“Very pleasant hotel, enjoying a good location. Provides excellent, friendly service. Only negative was the expense of travelling to and from the airport, as there is no shuttle. Around the corner are two other major hotels, so they should cooperate to provide a less expensive alternative to and from the airport.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 12, 2005 by
Colleen from Buffalo, NY
“Excellent, staff very helpful and professional.” Aug 10, 2005 by

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental & would be delighted to stay there again. It is close to the transit system and a short ride to anywhere. The rooms were luxurious and very comfortable. The two people working at the concierge desk (Carolina & Orson) were really helpful and friendly, obviously dedicated to their jobs. All other staff were equally friendly and efficient. ” Aug 9, 2005 by
Michael from Indianapolis, IN
“Location of the hotel is away from the busy downtown area, but close to shopping centers and subway. The staff at front desk is very helpful and pleasant. The room is spacious and comfortable.” Aug 5, 2005 by
Eva from Fort Lauderdale, FL
“I had never visited Toronto before, and was a little disappointed to find my hotel a distance from the downtown area. However, I soon realized that the Yorkville area is the best place to stay because there are so many upscale restaurants and cafes in this area. The staff at the Toronto Intercontinental are very friendly and very efficient, and they really do make you feel welcome. We wanted to purchase tickets to a concert, and the front desk clerk found out the necessary information within a few minutes. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 4, 2005 by

“I called ahead and confirmed two double beds, but they only gave us one double and one king, however they managed and gave us their last roller bed for free, that was very nice of them.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 3, 2005 by
Brian from Macedon, NY “Great hotel, but Bloor Street is not within walking distance to most Toronto attractions (Rogers Centre, Harbor, CN tower, Younge Street).” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 29, 2005 by

“The front street Intercontinental Toronto has a most convienient location near Union Station and the Bluejay's Stadium with a view of CN Tower. The architectual style is stunningly modern with state of the art rooms and amenities.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 27, 2005 by

“Excellent location. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in...better than my bed at home. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was probably a 3.5 Star hotel, rather than the 4 Stars.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 2, 2005 by

“The Intercontinental was exceptional in every way - excellent location, outstanding staff, well-maintained facility. We seldom choose modern hotels but this managed to have the ambience and charm of the historic properties we usually choose. ” May 26, 2005 by
Scott from Williamsville, NY
“Everything was great about this hotel. Reception was particularly helpful in getting us a room that very comfortably accomodated our needs, as we were travelling with our daughters. Great!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 25, 2005 by
Bill from Bethlehem, PA
“I don't know why most of the amenities that often are included at other hotels (e.g. the Omni William Penn in Pittsburgh where I stayed the next night which was exceptional) were extra" or not included. This nickel and diming was upsetting at an upscale hotel."” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 5, 2005 by
Ako from Farmington Hills, MI
“Very friendly and professional staffs. The room was clean and nice, and it was impressive that the room had both bath and shower seperately. The price was really reasonable for the hotel name and quality. Definately would love to stay again!” May 4, 2005 by
Joonho from Champaign, IL
“At their internet homepage, there is not any information about parking(system, space, fee).Because they have no own parking lot, customers should use expensive parking lot with no choice. And this hotel is 8-floor very small old hotel, pool and room are also very small.” Apr 23, 2005 by
Tavish from Amherst, NY
“The Intercontinental on Bloor Street in Toronto is conveniently located across from the Royal Ontario Museum and is a short walk to high-end shopping and great restaurants. The staff were cheerful and accommodating, and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Parking is in a public parking garage right under the hotel with lobby access. We would be happy to stay at this hotel again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
