“Considering the hotel was under massive construction, the staff was very friendly. The extra pullout couch was a definite bonus!” Mar 31, 2009 by
Bruce from Kitchener,Canada
“This hotel is under renovation, lots of dust and noise. Hopefully the rooms will get a makeover, as they were dated.” Mar 25, 2009 by
Emily from Ancaster,Canada
“This hotel was really nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was really clean and nice. The breakfast was simple but good quality. The only downfall was that the gym and pool were closed due to renovations. Other than that, I recommend it!” Feb 11, 2009 by
Marie from Niagara Falls,NY
“Hotel is being updated, some construction right now. Two floors closed. Can hear all noise from rooms next to the one you're in.” Nov 26, 2008 by
Linda from Kirkland Lake,Canada
“Did not like the smell of the room, we got Aug 30, 2008 by

“We have stayed here before, originally found it through Toronto Tourism when there were no rooms available for the Royal Winter Fair. The continental breakfast is important when traveling with a family. Did not like the street people outside, my daughter was very scared when one tried to hug her & she started crying, she is 14 & from a rural area, it really scared her but I guess there is only so much the hotel can do. Would never go for a walk, but I guess that's Downtown Toronto.” Aug 24, 2008 by
William from Clawson, MI
“Overall the hotel was run down and out dated, especially our room. The sofa bed was very old, uncomfortable, and looked dirty. The drop ceiling above the tub was stained and in very poor condition, also the tile around the tub was chipped up. My son, 12, slept on the sofa bed, and right out side the windows was a neon lit up strip club. Hence the poor family rating.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Saryna from Tonawanda, NY
“I found it to be a diamond in the rough. It was very clean, comfortable, had a pool, and had free breakfast. I travel to party and it was close to some good party spots. The neighborhood was bad, so I was told, so we took a cab to our destinations. The cab fare was a bit much but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall, I would definitely stay there again!” Aug 26, 2007 by
Susan from Linden, MI
“I've been stuck in worse. I prefer much better. The staff was very nice and helpful. Carpet and furniture really needed to be cleaned.” May 21, 2007 by
Cathy from White Plains, NY
“It was fine for what it was.” Mar 21, 2007 by
Graeme from Vancouver, BC CA
“Enjoyed my stay. Ideal for downtown and tourist venues. Only concern was that it was quite a small room for breakfast and around 9.30am it was very busy, however the guests did not loiter when they had finished eating. Overall 2 thumbs up.” Jan 29, 2007 by
Karen from Gananoque, ON CA
“Overall, I was very impressed with the look and feel of the hotel as well as the sense of security I got.” Jan 17, 2007 by
Brian from Victoria Harbour, ON CA
“The hotel met our expectations and was very clean. The cases restaurant in site offers good food, the exercise area and pool is fine and the staff reasonably friendly.” Aug 27, 2006 by
Robert from Bergenfield, NJ
“In fairness, the hotel was nice and clean but it's just situated in a not so good area.” Aug 4, 2006 by
John from Willimantic, CT
“A bit to far from the area that I wanted to be in. Not in a very safe neighborhood. Should note that parking will cost $19 for underground parking spot.” Aug 3, 2006 by
Lori from Wynantskill, NY
“Although the surrounding neighborhood is only so-so, the hotel is quite nice and very secure. I felt very safe there. Lobby elegant; rooms well equipped, and staff very accommodating on replacing faulty coffee maker, etc. Easy to get to. Great free breakfast - good coffee, fresh fruit, assortment of food, clean and comfortable eating area. Despite shabby neighborhood, the central location can't be beat. Wouldn't walk around alone outside after dark, but otherwise ok.” Aug 3, 2006 by
Mike from Columbus, OH
“This hotel was in a bad area of town. the parking was far away and expensive. there were garbage cans, stained furniture and random objects right outside my room. a staff member uninvited helped himself into my room with his key and told me my TV was too loud. a disagreed and was angry about no phone call or knock and this staff member who could barely speak English got loud and called the police from my room phone. last of all, I was charged for two nights and an additional charge of $70 when I only stayed for one night.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Heather from Alvada, OH
“This hotel was excellent, with the exception of the walk to the subway station. The rooms were spacious and clean. The service was friendly. The heated pool and spa were great for a cold February in Toronto.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
