- The room was a standard hotel room. Public spaces for the hotel were aesthetically pleasing.
- For the duration of my stay, hotel staff (operator, front desk, bell desk) consistently did not answer the phones between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“If you are looking only for decent accommodation, this is a place to consider. If you are looking for service and a pleasant stay based on accommodating service, this is not the hotel for you. Although the facilities in this location are appropriate for a four star hotel, the service provided at this hotel is so poor that I do not think a four star rating is appropriate. Upon my check-in, the front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly. Between two days at the hotel, I could not contact hotel staff from my hotel room between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. since no one would answer the phone. Further, when I was given my hotel room, one of the cupboards had empty wine bottles, an opened 2 liter bottle of pop and dirty glasses. This cupboard remained uncleaned for the duration of my stay.”

- Location, nice lobby, nice room.
- $30 parking. Some areas of the room can use some upgrades.
“The Hilton downtown was a nice hotel with a great location on the corner of Richmond and Spadina. Short walk to Yonge St. The staff was friendly though at first they charged me twice for parking ($60). Parking itself is quite high at $30 but it is downtown. The room was nice though I was only on the 7th floor so my view consisted of an office building.”

- It wasn't clean, bathroom counter was not wiped. Called the front desk and they sent someone up after a little confusion.

- The head chef personally heat up our take-out, and he was extremely courteous and thoughtful even though we had dined out. Great customer service!
- The carpeting was stained, and the bathtub had a slight bit of grime.
“Within a block's radius, we encountered a few unsightly views, but that's to be expected Downtown. Inside, the hotel is quite modern looking and overall, the look and feel was welcoming. Staff were excellent.”

- The windows could use clean, there was a large stain on the drapes, and the carpet was messy.
“The location and staff were great. The room could have used a new carpet as it was very stained, new curtains as there was a large stain, and the faucet in the bathroom was a bit green. Overall, the room was nice and the bedding very comfortable.”

- Excellent view of CN tower.
- The carpet in the hallway really needs to be changed.
“Hard to find parking around there, unless you are willing to pay another 30$/day. The view is excellent. The swimming pool is a must-see. The hostess service was good. The decor in the hallway and the rooms is excellent, except the carpet looks rather out of sync with the rest of the place. One side of the elevators give the city view.”

- I think breakfast menu was pretty pricey, but that is standard.

“I would go back for sure! I a.m. Hilton Honors member and they honored that and gave me an executive level room! Can't beat that. The only staff member I didn't like was the gentleman who was very rude welcoming the guest at the entrance. Other than that everyone was nice. But $30/day for parking is bad, the hotel should provide a discounted rate or free for staying guest.”

- You'll be nickel-and-dimed.
“I had a miserable experience here. I called in advance to make sure they had an airport shuttle and that they had Wi-Fi. Be careful what you ask: there is a shuttle, but not operated by them, so you have to purchase tickets at significant expense. There is Wi-Fi, it's just that you have to pay an arm and a leg for it. They do have a business center, but the computers are old/outdated/unable to read documents saved in the most recent version of Word, etc. I'll never go back here.”

“The carpets were moldy, the room smelled bad, the shower had mold and corrosion, there were people talking and yelling in the hallways all night long, the front desk staff were cold and un-welcoming, the parking is overpriced, the television picture was fuzzy. I would not stay here again. This is not a 4 star hotel.”

- Decoration of the room and the comfort of the bed. Wow!
- I only stayed 3 nights. Too bad I could not stay longer.
“It was a very beautiful hotel. The staff is very helpful, polite and their desire to help, truly genuine. The quality of the materials chosen to make-up both the room itself as well as the bathroom were perfect for the quality this hotel. Also, the quality of the linen on the bed was very good and the comfort of the pillows as well as the bed itself was divinely comfortable. I slept better away from home than I do in my own bed. One last thing, unlike cheaper hotels the bath products is sometimes not so good for your skin. The bath products offered in this hotel both smelled great and left my skin soft. Good stuff!”

- The door handle entry to my room was not clean when we arrived.
“I do not like being charged for use of the internet. Very inexpensive hotels such as Microtel and moderately priced hotels such as Holiday Inn are able to provide this free, so I think the Hilton should be able to also. In today's world, where the internet is practically essential, charging for use of the internet is like charging people to turn on the television in the room. Knowing that the Hilton charges $12.95 per day for use of the internet makes me more likely to select another brand when making a choice.”

- Hotel info listed hi speed internet but it was expensive not free as expected.

- They changed our room from a smoking to a non-smoking.
- We could not go into the lounge.
“It was in a great location. Clean and comfortable. I found it ridiculous that we couldn't even go to the Tundra Lounge. That made me feels quite unwelcome. They also gave us a room right behind the elevator. All in all it was a good room with great location but I did not feel 100% comfortable because I had to question everything we were allowed to do, I was surprised we were able to use the amenities.”

- The location next to the TTC, very easy to get around.
- Water/ power shut off 1am to 6am and not notified in advance of arrival.
“The location and amenities (pool, exercise room, Second cup in lobby) were outstanding. We walked to Second City and the Eaton Center and took the TTC to the ROM. We were given a room with a view which almost made up for the water/ power turned off that night. Not the hotel's fault but I would have appreciated notification in advance.”

- It was centrally located in Downtown Toronto.
- Smoking room and Parking was expensive.
“As I suspected would happen, we got stuck with a smoking room. The hotel clerk said she would send up an air purifier to clean the room for us, but it never came. The hallways smelled terrible. Also, keep in mind, parking is not included with the price of the hotel. The best thing about the stay was the central location of the hotel room.”

“Everything was great with one exception: the service in the bar. We intended to have a few drinks and dinner. We were there for 20 minutes before anyone approached us. It took the server only a few minutes to take and provide our drink order, but after delivering our drinks did not come back. He was not busy - there were only 3 other tables. We eventually asked for our bill (As did another couple) and went elsewhere for dinner.”

- Close to all attractions, nice pool and elevator, great king sized bed.
- Somewhat impersonal and parking garage very low ceilings.
“Only there one night. Beds really comfortable which is a huge plus. Great location in Toronto, nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub although some attention to plaster and paint is required there. Happy that I could get adjoining rooms - did not use any other facilities other than pool with kids.”

- The bedding was wonderful. That's pretty much it considering the star rating it was given.
- This motel was not what we expected from a 4 star rating. The bathroom was extremely outdated. The bathtub area was moldy.
“Like I said above, the motel was very disappointing. We asked for a fridge to be brought to our room, never got one. The bathroom was very outdated and badly in need of redoing. The taps were caroading and rusty, the bathtub area was moldy. The toilet, obviously old had paint splattered on it and other stuff stuck to it. Housekeeping hadn't looked under the sink/counter in months for the dust and dirt that was there. The television was old and the remote barely worked. We had to pay extra for internet connection. The night before we got more quality, more class and more commodities at an Inn with a lower star rating for less money than what we paid for this motel through your sight. The bedding at these two motels was the same in quality. And the bedding is almost the only thing I could comment very positively on.”

- Location, parking, and room space, free fridge (you have to ask the front desk and if they have one available there is no charge).
- Very slow room service (over 40 minutes).
“I was traveling with my wife and two sons (ages 2.5 and 5 months). The room was very comfortable and large. There is no mini bar, but you can ask the front desk to bring you a fridge (no extra charge). The crib for the baby was new and very good and safe. There is no DVD player in the room which I think for a 4 star hotel is a must (but you can rent one per day use, expensive). The view was ok, we where staying in the 13th floor. Parking is not expensive and very convenient to get to and from the hotel lobby (I also recommend using their parking if you are staying in the Sheraton next door). The underground path is great with a combination of having small children and bad weather but be prepared to walk a lot so bring strollers for each of the children.”

- The hotel was extremely clean and had a welcoming feeling about it.
- It is on the corner of a one way street and couldn't turn left to get into the parking lot.
