• The location was perfect!
• I thought the bed was too soft and my back hurt.

“The hotel is situated in an excellent location, convenient to theatres and other attractions. It is very clean, and offered something for everyone. The pool area was fabulous with plenty of chairs for the guests.”

• Most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on.
• The coffee maker was unusual. I would have preferred a standard drip coffee maker.

“We absolutely loved our stay. The room was beautiful and so was the view. It was very clean and the bed and pillows were fantastic. We had the best night's sleep we've ever had in a hotel. We will definitely stay again.”

• There is nothing good due to my bad experience.
• Noise construction when checking in loud drunks running up and down the halls AC in new renovated room not working.

“When entering the room heard loud drilling called manager 2 times finally stopped around 3:00 PM went to dinner returned at 1:30 AM there were drunks partying next to my room complained till 3:00 AM at which point got so discussed let me also mention that my ac stopped working at 2:00 AM. Any way got so discussed checked out at 3:30 AM to return home.”

• Mold in the room!

“Great location. sleek and attractive looking inside. However there was mold in our room. Near in the top corner of the ceiling where the coffee area was (not attractive), looked like there was some water damage/condensation/moisture that caused the paint to start cracking and mold to grow. I think we were also missing a set of heavy curtains because all we had were the white almost see-through curtains for the floor to ceiling wall to wall window (don't hotels normally have a second set of heavier curtains). Also, the TV was very poor in picture quality. Most hotels have flat screens, and this did not. Even the carpet did not have a refreshed or dare I say, clean appearance. The gym was undergoing renovations so I cannot comment on that.”

• The front desk service was great, pool/deck excellent, location terrific.
• The fitness room was under construction and not available.

“Great location, with great staff. Barristers, the pub lounge, was very nice and we had a terrific waiter. The pool is wonderful, since it is part indoor/part outdoor. Good location to tan in, as well as deck food/drinks. We had free internet with the room which was an added bonus. Since our last stay the rooms have been renovated and has made a big difference in how nice the rooms now are.”

• Great downtown location with a great price!
• No fridge in the room. Had to use bucket and ice to cool drinks. Not cool for a 4 star.

“Overall the hotel was great. The staff from the front desk to the cleaning lady was great and helpful. Rooms were updated and clean. Great location with a five minute walk to union station.”

• Pool was open until 11pm, great location.
• Room was very dusty, concierge could not recommend local places to eat.

“The overall stay was great. The staff was friendly and the room had a great view. The location was great and my daughter loved that the poll was open until 11pm. Unfortunately, the room seemed like it hadn't been dusted in about a month and the bed sheets has a stain on them.”

• Very large hotel in great location.
• When renovating the fitness center, this is a 2 star hotel.

“There was nothing wrong with this hotel - but a fitness center is required by a 4 star hotel. This hotel did not have a fitness center during my stay. They would send me to an adjacent fitness center - but it was a long walk; not convenient at all.”

“I was very satisfied with staying Hilton Hotel. Its location, facilities, staff was good. Because of its good location, we don't need to look around Downtown by vehicle. Especially our family spent wonderful time in the swimming pool and Jacuzzi of Hilton. I will strongly recommend Hilton to my friend!”

• The interior is fantastic after the renovation they did, and still was going on. The view over Toronto was gorgeous.
• The outside needs some face lift and the concrete walls need some update. Business center use (computer/internet) should be free of charge.

• Liked the cleanliness and it seemed as if there were clean bed spread and shower curtains each day.
• The TV reception was terrible, could not even watch it was so fuzzy.

• The ironing board and old coffee cup were not put away. The cost of a local call was expensive.

• Hotel was "sold out" of rooms with double beds, had to share king bed.

“Hotel location is awesome. Central to all the good spots in Toronto. When we got there to check in at 11:30 am, they were already 'sold out' of rooms with double beds, but they did offer us a cot. Staff was very friendly.”

• I had to pay 30 dollars extra to park my car!

• Had to wait for room even though it was well past check-in time.

“Overall this was a great hotel. The location was superb. My only gripe was with the staff. Check-in was 3:00 and I arrived at the hotel at 4:30. My room definitely should have been ready. I had to wait an hour. I had to call twice to remind the staff of items not provided by housekeeping.”

• I was put in a beautiful room and the hotel was in a prime location.
• There were a few small stains on the couch.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Hilton is right in the core of Downtown Toronto, I was put in a room with 1 king bed at no add ional charge and overall the room and hotel looked great.”

“Overall I had a great time, the size of the room is perfect. The gym was renovating at the time of our stay, but they give us free pass to another club down the street. However, washroom need renovation.”

• It was very old and the bathroom was just too bad.

“They are in the middle of the construction, so some suites are better than the others. However, overall, the cleanness of the place was not satisfied with my expectation of the hotel in Downtown. The swimming pool area was very dirty and the paining from the ceiling felt on the floor and you can see the evidence even in the water. We had to switch the different room because I requested a bath. The bathroom came with very old faucet that I could see the old, white stain on it. I think they can simple use the clean product to clean the area before the renovation. Maybe, they're waiting for the new big changes but meanwhile, the customers will see the uncleanness of the place. The room was spacious. In the new renovated suite, the TV was still very old style one with only 20 or 24 inch size not a flat screen. During the daytime, you can actually hear the sound of the renovation in the building so forget about short nap during your stay. I really hope they complete the project soon but I will not go back to the same hotel for sure. Not worthy.”

• The beds were comfortable.
• The entry door stuck, the bathroom door stuck, the coffee maker blew up.

“This hotel was ok. We would probably not stay here again. The entry door from the hall stuck, very noisy. The bathroom door stuck, to the point of feeling trapped. The coffee maker did not work, asked maid to replace, she did. But, the second one, seemed to be working, then started spraying hot water all over me! So, the two days that we were there, we were loud, trying to get into & out of our room and pulling with two hands to get out of the bathroom. And no coffee either morning! We won't stay there again.”

“Downtown Toronto Hilton. This hotel was very clean, nicely appointed and the location was perfect. I did not eat in the restaurant but the menu had an international flair and was not overpriced. The gym was under construction or I would have liked to work out before I left. Parking - under the building - was $6 overnight (till 7am) and the day was $24. I had to move my car at 6:55am or my parking fee would have been $30. I moved it to a lot down the street ($12). Parking is very expensive everywhere in Toronto.”

“First time at this Hilton. The front desk clerk was extremely pleasant. Our room was newly renovated and very nice. A very pleasant stay for the price. Even if the fitness centre was closed for renovations she gave us passes for an alternative place.”

• First room smelled like smoke, got moved to another room without any problems.
• The line up during check in (although this isn't the hotel's fault).

“Very good experience. We were given a room on the 14th floor. This floor was amazing, looks like it was very recently renovated. Enjoyed the location, enjoyed the room, and enjoyed the stay.”

• Was located within a short walk to the TTC Subway. Easy to get to all kinds of theatres, restaurants and attractions. Clean even under renovations.
• Surrounded by one way streets, so had to be careful entering/exiting parking. Extra $30 charge for parking not included was extremely high for self park.

“Hotel was centrally located as indicated and close to the subway. We basically parked our car and used the TTC to get to theatres and restaurants which was very fast. Several areas were undergoing renovations so there were no gym facilities avail. and some halls were missing trim (dusty) but overall public areas were very clean considering. Pool was half inside/outside on second storey with views of the CN tower and skyline on the second storey (above the traffic) which was actually very unique for being downtown. We found out that both the parking and internet access were extra. Parking was $20-30/day which seemed excessive for self park. Also, the building was surrounded by one way streets so you needed to plan in advance how you would enter and exit underground parking. Very much geared to business travelers and not really families with children although the pool was large enough for all to swim in.”

“Was welcomed at reception by extremely friendly employee. I was allowed to switch rooms to one with a king bed rather than one with two twins. Was immediately impressed by the decor of the hotel and lobby and also scenic elevator that overlook the city. Walked into the room and was extremely delighted to see how clean, neat and beautiful it was. Absolutely loved the bed and pillows. The soaps and shampoos were far above expectations being Crabtree and Evelyn. Everything worked in the room (coffee maker, TV, blow dryer, etc.). All in all, it was an exceptional stay. It was absolute luxury.”

• It was a first class hotel and for the price for our stay in a major city I was impressed.
• I left behind a valuable piece of Jewelry and the housekeeper did not turn it into lost and found.

“Very helpful staff. Nice amenities I only enjoyed the bar for a late night cocktail but did check every thing out. The pool and sauna were nice. Both an indoor and outdoor pool which I enjoy.”

• Very convenient to downtown Toronto, nice pool, good amenities.
• We were woken up at 3 am by our neighbors. The double doors between the rooms transmit too much noise.

“Everything was great except the noise transmitted between rooms through the double doors. It's the first time I've ever been woken up at 3 am in any hotel/motel by the laughter of people in the next room. Very surprising for a 4 star hotel.”

“Nice hotel, good location but the hotel is undergoing renovations. There is noise beginning at 8 am, and some facilities were not available. It is fine, but I would like to have known ahead of time. It was difficult to sleep.”
