“I stayed in this hotel because when we arrived the front desk person told us that if we stayed here for a week that they would give us a rate for the night. Well it was a big fight doing that, the woman in the office who told us no and that we would have to talk to the sales manager, then they told us that we did not stay in for the week, we are waiting for a property deal and checked out and checked in for 1 hour one day, they did not count that as consecutive days when it was, my receipt shows it, the hotel does not look like the photos they have posted, and is rather old and dirty, and my water in the bathroom was pure yellow! I had to have someone come and look at it after the girl at the front desk told me that nobody else's water is yellow, then after waiting an hour and a half when she told me they would send someone up in half an hour, we finally called back down and they sent a man up to look at it, the man was helpful by saying its the city water, whatever. So I would say that this place, after knowing many hotel owners and managers in Vancouver, is not a 3 star at all. It is dirty, we asked the maids to change our sheets and they did not, and they don't vacuum the rooms either, and we have had about 5 towels in our stay with stains on them. I would not stay here again, and don't suggest anyone too unless they believe cleanliness, helpful service, hotel rates. Pretty much all of it.” Oct 16, 2008 by

“Overall satisfied with room and price but disappointed with restaurant.” Oct 11, 2007 by

“If you want generous rooms with easy access to the ferries, this is a good one to consider. It doesn't have a lot of warmth, but provides clean rooms and friendly staff.” Feb 25, 2007 by

“I'm not quite sure how these people are still in business. My room was dirty and the staff were rude to me whenever I made the mistake of trying to contact them. Also, the advertised price was jacked up on me when I went to check in. What a rip-off!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 11, 2006 by

“I had made the booking on-line and then called the hotel to ensure that I got 2 non-smoking rooms with 2 double beds because there were 3 adults and 2 children in my party. Reservations assured me that I would get my requested rooms. The on-line hotel description noted as "newly renovated"....when I inquired what was newly renovated, I was told the front reception area but none of the rooms. The day before arriving at the hotel, I called to confirm my rooms and was told that there was only 1 room available and it was a smoking room with 1 king size bed. It took several calls but after 1 hour, the hotel called back to state that they had secured me 2 non-smoking rooms with double beds. I informed that hotel that I would be checking in late (10 PM) and I was assured that my rooms would be held. When I checked into the hotel the next day, the rooms were on different floors and 1 room had only a single king-sized bed. We had to get a roll away bed to accommodate my party of 5. This is the reason why people of skeptical of booking on-line, if I hadn't called to confirmed my rooms, I would have been screwed big-time. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 22, 2006 by

“Location is great to the St John's Ferry. The rooms are a good size. What we did not like was that the bath room had used products (hotel brand mouthwash and soaps) left in the room. The tub had a good amount of mold. Considering the location and the price for surrounding hotel, I guess you get what you pay for.” Jul 11, 2006 by

“The hotel had a great view and the staff was very friendly and had an adequate knowledge of the area.” Jun 10, 2006 by

“I loved waking up to the brisk salt air, the curtains went well with the beautiful view. I honestly think the bed was one of the best I've slept on. Not to soft, not to hard. I got to see the maids making mine and was happy to see no stains or marks of any kind. The bathroom was quaint, the hot water flowed smoothly, no on and off action which is very important during the cold st john winters. Visiting the pool was a treat as was the weight room. I got to meet the new Owner, he was very friendly even offering me coupons for the great penthouse restaurant. All in all a great couple day stay. I wish I could have stayed longer but my wife insisted we visit the great Niagara falls before returning to our side of the country. ” Hotel Representatives:
