  • Good location with easy access to the ferry.
  • The room seemed a little tired with some paint peeling and the tub did not drain properly.

“If you want generous rooms with easy access to the ferries, this is a good one to consider. It doesn't have a lot of warmth, but provides clean rooms and friendly staff.”

  • You can leave.
  • Dirty, expensive and it was rude staff.

“I'm not quite sure how these people are still in business. My room was dirty and the staff were rude to me whenever I made the mistake of trying to contact them. Also, the advertised price was jacked up on me when I went to check in. What a rip-off!”

  • There is nothing good about the hotel.
  • Old, smelly, run-down, tired.

“I had made the booking on-line and then called the hotel to ensure that I got 2 non-smoking rooms with 2 double beds because there were 3 adults and 2 children in my party. Reservations assured me that I would get my requested rooms. The on-line hotel description noted as "newly renovated"....when I inquired what was newly renovated, I was told the front reception area but none of the rooms. The day before arriving at the hotel, I called to confirm my rooms and was told that there was only 1 room available and it was a smoking room with 1 king size bed. It took several calls but after 1 hour, the hotel called back to state that they had secured me 2 non-smoking rooms with double beds. I informed that hotel that I would be checking in late (10 PM) and I was assured that my rooms would be held. When I checked into the hotel the next day, the rooms were on different floors and 1 room had only a single king-sized bed. We had to get a roll away bed to accommodate my party of 5. This is the reason why people of skeptical of booking on-line, if I hadn't called to confirmed my rooms, I would have been screwed big-time. ”

  • Location.
  • Bathroom was very dirty and had used products.

“Location is great to the St John's Ferry. The rooms are a good size. What we did not like was that the bath room had used products (hotel brand mouthwash and soaps) left in the room. The tub had a good amount of mold. Considering the location and the price for surrounding hotel, I guess you get what you pay for.”

  • Great view due to its location on top of a hill overlooking the Bay of Fundy.
  • The downstairs dining left a bit to be desired.

“The hotel had a great view and the staff was very friendly and had an adequate knowledge of the area.”

  • Beautiful views, great service, great food, great stay : ).
  • Weather can be slightly offensive, especially if your not used to it.

“I loved waking up to the brisk salt air, the curtains went well with the beautiful view. I honestly think the bed was one of the best I've slept on. Not to soft, not to hard. I got to see the maids making mine and was happy to see no stains or marks of any kind. The bathroom was quaint, the hot water flowed smoothly, no on and off action which is very important during the cold st john winters. Visiting the pool was a treat as was the weight room. I got to meet the new Owner, he was very friendly even offering me coupons for the great penthouse restaurant. All in all a great couple day stay. I wish I could have stayed longer but my wife insisted we visit the great Niagara falls before returning to our side of the country. ”
