• It was not clean, we found hear in the duvet and towels we make a very strong complain with the manager.

“ We had to make a complain with the manager because they didn't gave us a clean room at our arrival. They clean the room after but this doesn't happened in a quality hotel, the lobby is not attractive, is very cold. ”

• Beautiful hotel, revolving restaurant, great city view.
• The cushions on the two room chairs were worn pale.., The music from the neighboring pub kept us awake until 4am.

• Location on Grand Allee, view from restaurant and room.
• Parking underground was tight and expensive.

“Everything you would expect from a 4 star property, including a 4 star restaurant experience in the revolving restaurant on top of the hotel. Beds were incredibly lush, staff was friendly and helpful, view from our room was sweeping.”

• The staff was friendly. The location is close to shopping and to Old Quebec. The room was clean.
• We didn't like the mandatory valet parking. They put us right by the elevators, so it was a little noisy.

“We enjoyed the location - close to shopping and Old Quebec. The room was clean and large. We didn't like the mandatory valet parking (forcing us to pay $28) but overall it was a pleasant stay.”

“Was very impressed that the entire staff spoke English and all were very friendly. Good location. Only drawback was you could not sit down in a dining area for drinks only during the day. The lobby bar was closed.”

• Location was ok but not worth it.
• It was dirty and over priced!

“Dirty and expensive! I've seen other rooms in other hotels in Quebec city that were better than this. The only positives that I can say here were the location and maybe the view on the Chateau Frontenac from the 15th floor we were on. But it was absolutely not worth it and I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anybody. Avoid at all cost!”

• The location is excellent.
• Severe maintenance issues - very unhelpful staff.

“This hotel is wonderfully located and has a helpful concierge service. The air conditioning didn't work in the room, they sent up a repairman, it still didn't work. We called the next morning and no one came. When we came back later that evening we called again, the new repairman said we just need to fool with the thermostat. We had to wake up twice in the middle of the night to fool with the thermostat. It only stayed on for an hour or two. The minibar fridge was warm, the repairman fixed that. The ironing board was missing. It took 4 calls to get one.”

• In need of renovation and a good housekeeping crew - needs a thorough clean.

“This hotel is in a great position, right by the Plains of Abraham and the Grand Allee. From the minute we walked through the door, we were disappointed by staff in t-shirts and jeans for uniforms, fraying carpets, dirty mirrors, etc. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had a suite with a great view. This was marred by the dirty sheets on one bed and the sofa bed and the horrible black mould in the bathroom which hadn't been scrubbed for a very long time. I have never stayed in a hotel, motel or B&B with a bathroom like that. We won't stay there again.”

“The AC was replaced at no help. Gave us a room that has a huge corridor next to the elevator and could not be conditioned and nothing was done to fix it; the elevators do not work well. Long lines to get to the room sometimes it took more than 30 minutes in the morning to get to the lobby, it seems the staff knew about the problems but nothing was done to improve it.”

• Outdated in a few aspects. Needs remodeling in lobby and common areas.

“The location of this hotel was excellent. I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The lobby was run down and dirty. The elevators did not work. The concierge was not helpful. The hotel ran out of regular coffee and that towels were all falling apart. The people in the gift shop were very nice and so were the valets.”

• Staff was very cordial and extremely attentive. Highly recommended.
• My car had a flat tire while in their parking lot; they do not feel they are responsible for this.

“The hotel staff was more than attentive, meeting our needs beyond expectations while we were there. During my stay I found my car with a flat tire that occurred while the car was parked in the hotel garage. They gave me a free dinner at their best restaurant and brunch next day; but with this they feel they have done enough for me. I think they need to be more responsive and assume responsibility for my damage while I was there. I was told someone will follow up, so far after four days no one has contacted me.”

• Very clean, luxurious and the staff very helpful and friendly.
• Sorry that the hotel pool is not open all year.

• The location is wonderful and the service is excellent.
• I wasn't pleased the parking cost $21.00 per day.

“I was staying in November over the Thanksgiving holiday and this is considered the off season so the hotel wasn't crowded. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is such that you can walk to the old city in less than 12 minutes, and there are an abundance of delightful restaurants on the street in front of the hotel. On the other side is a large historic park, a great place for walking, even in the winter, and a view of the St. Lawrence. All in all, a great place to stay.”

• Rooms need to be updated but still very clean.

“Hotel must have been the best in Montréal about 20 years ago. They have a heated outdoor pool that is open all year round. It is really great to be able to swim outside when it is snowing or freezing outside! However the rooms need to be updated. Still elegant, but the furniture and carpets look worn. The staff is really friendly as it always seems to be in the Quebec province of Canada. The location is perfect for the best fashion/designer shopping, like you would find in New York or Paris.”

• Staff not helpful, room not great (bad view, run down, noisy).

“Lowes le concord was obviously a nice hotel at one point, but is starting to look a little shabby (frayed carpets, dated facades around elevators, etc.) The room was poor quality: our view was of a brick wall on the building next door, we could hear the elevators clearly (beware the room numbers ending with "9"!), the bathroom had clearly been flooded a few times and the tiles were mildew, etc. The staff was reasonably courteous, but would not offer more than an apology for their valets stacking cars in front of ours in the garage (we ended up taking a taxi, rather than waiting for the cars to be removed, since we were running late. We still paid the full for parking.)However, the location is great, and despite these relatively minor complaints we had a great trip overall.”
