“Upscale, modern well-positioned hotel with all the services expected from a Hilton. Many people were using the pool in 30 degree weather, so it was heated and comfortable. Great value for just outside the Old Quebec walls.” Oct 15, 2009 by
Fred from Augusta,ME

“Hotel was great. Good location and the staff were friendly.” Aug 3, 2009 by
Rod from Ottawa,Canada
“Good location. Reasonable price, though not a steal of a deal, given that the room was old with older furnishings, dead light bulbs, no bathroom fan. Would not rate this as 3.5 stars” Jul 6, 2009 by
Mark from Farmington Hills,MI
“Great location. Hotel rooms need updating. Food in hotel and parking is overpriced.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Hong from Holland,PA
“Good location, clean.” Sep 1, 2008 by

“This hotel is in a perfect location. The lobby is attractive and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had a beautiful view and was very clean.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Gustavo from Buffalo, NY

“The pool was under construction.” May 25, 2008 by
Emma from Brentwood, TN
“The hotel was under construction while we were there. The hotel had complimentary fruit and beverages in the lobby, which may have been an accommodation for the construction, but nevertheless, was a nice feature.” May 15, 2008 by
Alex from Dexter, MI
“Excellent location. The first room they gave us was not cleaned up. Moved us to a different one within 10 minutes. There is no Wi-Fi. Otherwise, a great hotel.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Shawn from Monroe, CT
“Staying at this hotel was an amazing experience with some of the most helpful, friendly, and speedy front desk and bellhop service I've ever seen. The lobby was beautiful and clean and nicely decorated. The room was superb, the view of Old Quebec from my panoramic window breathtaking, and the marble and granite bathroom was very luxurious. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!” Mar 10, 2008 by
Marco from Bathurst, NB CA
“It was a very clean, comfortable hotel. The only problem was the comforter on the bed. The filling in the comforter was all clumped at the bottom and it continuously fell off the bottom of the bed. We had to keep pulling it up but it would never stay. It was a bit of a frustrating sleep. Everything else was great!” Feb 27, 2008 by
Laurent from Georgetown, MA
“The staff who met us at the door each day was pleasant and helpful, offering specific directions to local sites and making suggestions of activities. The food was very well portioned and the variety accommodated different nutritional needs. Linens were always fresh, and the view from the window in our room on the ninth floor was spectacular. The free newspaper made up for the lack of local and world televised news in English. Everyone we met in the hotel was bilingual and accommodated our lack of sophisticated French well.We had a great time.” Feb 23, 2008 by
Robert from Ridgewood, NJ
“Location was great. Room was small by Hilton standards. Beds were almost twin size. No mini bar refrigerator( had been removed ) 8th floor smelled like stale cigarettes. All house keeping did was make beds.( did not clean coffee cups or replace coffee ) Room was "tired" Pool supposed to be heated to 91 degrees "all year round".” Jan 16, 2008 by
Dina from Montreal, QC CA
“The room was very small with queen size beds as opposed to king size beds, the view was great but the window was dirty. This spoiled the only nice feature of the room. The staff was not very welcoming and not very efficient. In order to check-in and out we had to wait in the line for 15 min. The entrance to the hotel is not well designed for people traveling without a car. To enter the hotel, we had to walk around the hotel from the main street. In addition, the entrance doors were not automated. The expectations for a 4 star hotel were not met.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Jack from Barrington, RI
“An excellent hotel in a perfect location for visiting Old Quebec city for a great price even in the dead of winter. The hotel staff treats you very well; the accommodations, restaurant, and facilities were perfect. The view from our room of the old city and river covered in snow was beautiful.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Ray from Williston, VT
“Not a romantic or charming hotel (really meant for business travelers) but is perfect as a home base for you to explore Quebec City. The location right next to the city walls is perfect and saves you the extra money you'd pay just to say you stayed "inside the walls." The views from the wall to wall windows of Parliament and the St. Lawrence river are stunning. Be sure to ask for a high floor number. Plenty of amenities for the active person. Year round outdoor pool is fun in the winter and the gym was well equipped. The restaurant was OK but a little pricey, and the lobby is busy with groups coming and going. Don't pay the $21+tax per night to park with the valet. There is a public lot underground next door at the Congress center that is much cheaper and very secure.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Don from Montreal, QC CA
“Perfect location, huge panoramic window with amazing views. The best I have ever seen. Early arrival, no problem. Upgrade to higher floor without request. Super friendly and efficient front desk staff. Seventies decor but very well maintained.” Oct 12, 2007 by
Marina from Toronto, ON CA
“The hotel is located directly in front of one of the gates to the old Quebec and within walking distance to other tourist attractions. It also has a shopping mall accessible by an escalator! And another mall at place Ste Foy is about a 10 minutes drive. We had a room on the 3rd floor, which although doesn't sound very high up actually was at the equivalent of a 9th floor because of the way the hotel is situated above a shopping mall. We had a beautiful view of the old Quebec, the river port and the mountains! I was amazed that when I told the hotel staff that there were three of us and we require a king size bed, they offered to put a cot in our room for free in addition to giving us a king sized room! Staff was also very helpful in helping me find a car mechanic in Quebec city that was working a long weekend Sunday! The bathroom was filled with Crabtree and evelyn stuff and we got lots of extras for the second night when the cleaning staff noticed an extra bed in our unit. Overall, the hotel is quiet old, and it shows it the decor looks like it hasn't been updated in years. However, having said that, I was quiet impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness of the entire hotel. The hallways, the restaurant, the gym/sauna/swimming pool (which by the way were open longer hours than most hotels Ive stayed in) were very well taken care of. The room was very clean as well and the bed had a nice firm mattress (not what you would expect at an old hotel). Although the one thing that I didn't like was the $21 parking fee per night for valet although you have the option to get the car in and out as many times as you like in a day.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Keith from Mississauga, ON CA
“The hotel is in a great location. If there was not concierge and valet it would not be a 4 star hotel. Pillows could have been better.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Zhong from Scarborough, ON CA
“We stayed one night at the Hilton. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very good for travelers to access old town. Although the toilet doesn't match the quality for a 4 star hotel. Overall the hotel is very clean and quiet with nice view you have the room face the river.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Ian from Deux Montagnes, QC CA
“Great location, friendly and helpful staff, close to old Quebec, no need to use the car. Valet parking is available but a bit pricey. The food is quite expensive for the overall quality, but since your in Quebec city who wants to eat at the hotel anyways there are a lot of great restaurants within a few minutes walk.” Sep 9, 2007 by
Bill from Carlisle, PA
“Great location and staff was friendly and helpful.” Sep 7, 2007 by
S from Toronto, ON CA
“However, we phone the hotel directly several weeks in advance to let them know that this was our anniversary and we wanted a king-sized bed with a nice view. On the phone they agreed but when we checked in they told us that no such room was available. The room was average. Very disappointing. Overall, it was a nice stay.” Sep 7, 2007 by
Laura from Pickering, ON CA
“Very good choice for Quebec City. Comfortable beds, good views. Just by the wall for the old city. Modern large hotel.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Han from Pleasanton, CA
“Great location, spacious rooms, friendly staff except for the swing shift valet parking supervisor who was rude and unhelpful.” Sep 5, 2007 by
Thomas from Locust Valley, NY
“Very nice hotel, good location. Restaurant is overpriced and not very good. Hotel needs upgrade, old carpeting. Very friendly staff and overall a very positive experience.” Sep 5, 2007 by
Janice from Old Hickory, TN
“Excellent hotel close to everything with kind, helpful, professional staff.” Sep 4, 2007 by
D from Truro, NS CA
“Checking in left us with a bad first impression - everyone was pushy and instructions regarding parking etc were not clear. They really want you to pay the extra and have valet parking/baggage handling etc. Our stay was wonderful though, pool facility etc were great, and checking out went very well - staff at the desk and valet were extremely friendly/polite/helpful, made me hopeful that our check-in experience was not the norm. Was happy to have things end on a positive note.” Sep 3, 2007 by
Savio from Houston, TX
“The hotel is located at a prime spot in downtown Quebec city where you can visit the old town and all the tourist sites within 5 minutes walking distance. This was definitely a great plus. The room sizes left a bit to be desired. Hotel staff had initially allocated twin beds even though we had called in advance and requested for queen. Later we were moved up to double sized beds.” Sep 2, 2007 by
Jurgen from Little Falls, NJ
“Small hotel room for the price and the star rating.” Aug 29, 2007 by
Jon from San Mateo, CA
“This is a good hotel with an excellent location. However, the standard room is very small with small beds. The underground parking garage is not easy to find and difficult to get in and out (16$ per 24 hrs).” Aug 28, 2007 by
Stephen from Markham, ON CA
“The location is good, everywhere is walking distance. However, the parking is the problem. When I want self park, they cannot give me the direction for the parking, cannot let me load off my staff and nobody wants to help me when I told them I want self parking. It is only 10$ different and as a 4 star hotel, I cannot understand why staff so care about it and so rude to the self parking person.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Liz from Longlake, MN
“This hotel was in a great location; our room (a little small) had a nice view. We were happy with the price and the hotel.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Debbie from Barrie, ON CA
“Excellent stay. The location is amazing and the views from the rooms are breathtaking. The rooms are a little tired but very clean with appropriate sizing. Staff was courteous and bilingual. Overall would recommend the stay at this hotel - especially if you want to be close to old Quebec.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Michael from Spring Valley, CA
“It was dirty and the bed linens where quite poor in quality. The room was small and only had a twin bed despite the fact that we were a couple. It was located near the bottom floor with no view.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Peter from Tappan, NY
“The hotel is well located just outside old Quebecs gate & very near the grand alee. Our room had an excellent view of the parliament buildings and plains of Abraham. The concierge effectively booked dining reservations for us. Still, the bathroom needed updating and the beds, plus size twins, would be better if a king or single queen.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Jangkeun from Tenafly, NJ
“It was an excellent hotel.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Kris from Fremont, CA
“Overall, this is a great place. Nice room and the location can't be beat. It's geared for business travelers so doesn't have many family friendly perks but we managed just fine! Reservations staff was very nice but my sister in law didn't get her first choice of room on the day of arrival, so they had to upgrade for $10. They accommodated their early arrival, however. Overall, the concierge and other staff were helpful. The restaurant food was really good - the kid's veggie pizza came in the design of a cat face so the kids actually ate the veggies! I do wish they had an indoor pool - we used the outdoor pool in the rain!” Aug 21, 2007 by
Christopher from Vancouver, BC CA
“This is the second and last time that I will be staying at a Hilton hotel. They have a wonderful name, but I find their hotels (Hilton New York, Hilton Quebec) to be severely lacking for their supposed 4-star luxury rating. Cleanliness is lacking. The decor is dingy. Every little extra is exorbitantly priced.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Rosie from Chappaqua, NY
“Convenient to all parts of Quebec City. Fully loaded large hotel with large comfortable rooms and good service.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Nicole from Jackson Heights, NY
“Nice hotel but the staff was a little stuffy.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Grace from Toronto, ON CA
“We had a nice room on a lower floor - thankfully non smoking. Great bell staff and the valet parking are worth it. This city is a great getaway weekend.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Todd from Kitchener, ON CA
“From the moment we arrived, the staff was there to help us get our things and ourselves to our room in a fast and friendly manner.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Jennifer from Chatham, ON CA
“I found the hotel to be excellent. The rooms were beautiful and the view was breathtaking. We had an awesome time.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Scott H. from Ingleside, ON CA
“Hotel clean, rooms well appointed. Short walking distance to Old Quebec city. Staff friendly and bilingual. Close to restaurants, shopping, and cultural sites. Spectacular view from rooms facing St. Lawrence river and Old Quebec city. Valet or self parking ($20/day), (parking garage was under construction/spaces limited during our visit). Room service and hotel restaurant okay but pricey, better restaurants available nearby. Outdoor pool small, but well used. Fitness facilities well used and change rooms in need of more cleaning.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Joan from Arlington, TX
“This hotel's location and amenities far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience Quebec City as it should be experienced.” Aug 14, 2007 by
Mary from Salem, MO
“Nice hotel but requested a room with 2 double beds our room had 2 twin beds and we had to pay an extra $20 a night for an upgraded room with double beds.” Aug 14, 2007 by
Bubu from Valhalla, NY
