  • Staff was very friendly, good location.
  • Small room, no fitness facilities.

“The hotel is well located, very close to the train station and the staff was very helpful, attentive and friendly. However, the hotel facilities were basic and there was no fitness room which I would expect in a 4 star hotel. The hotel does have a nice roof terrace with a good view of the Scalzi bridge - a great place to get away from the crowds!”

  • We liked the location to train station as we were traveling by train, we felt safe, the bed was large and had a tub. staff were friendly.
  • At night the front doors were locked shut so we could not get out, fire safety problem. there was no clock in the room.

“Overall a nice hotel. Nicely located next to train station for travelers by train. A nice large bed with a nice bathtub. Good air conditioning, clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Too expensive to eat there. A soda was 4 euros, yikes. Overall a pleasant stay.”

  • The staff was very friendly.
  • Did not accommodate our request for early check-in.

“The hotel staff was friendly (the clerk was not always very efficient). The hotel was clean and welcoming. Breakfast should be included (charged 18 Euros per person) too pricey!”

  • Location, didn't have to drag suitcases up and down the canal.
  • Very small room, room was very dark, ants in the room.

“We very much enjoyed the location, very close to the train station so we did not have to pay for a porter to take our luggage or drag our luggage with us on boats and up stairs. Very close to a boat dock for the bus and restaurants and shops. Kind of far for attractions, but the boat passes were very helpful. However, the room was very quiet and reasonably clean.”

  • Very clean and great location.
  • The staff was very rude and not helpful, beds are hard as a rock.

“This is not a four star hotel. It has great location and was very clean by Venice standards. However, the staff that worked at the front desk acted annoyed every time we asked a question. They are not user friendly and flat out did not answer some of our questions. For example, we asked where we could find a Gondola point and the concierge's response was anywhere in Venice and picked up the phone. In terms of the room, the beds were rock hard, the TV was small (maybe 14") and the pillows were paper thin. Overall, our stay was average. But, we were very disappointed since we expected an upscale hotel. One last thing, it is not directly on the Grand Canal.”

  • Helpful staff and great location.
  • Nothing!

“Beautiful hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms have recently been done up so are in top condition now with new carpets. Our room had a beautiful view and the location was ideal with the waterbus stop being right outside.”

  • Breakfast service in Dining Room.
  • Poor infrastructure and inability of staff to address problems.

“I was very disappointed in the Boscolo Belling hotel where we stayed for 3 days at the end of Oct 2005. It was warm and AC did not work so with windows open mosquitoes attacked all night. Our Deluxe room faced an alley with no view. Mini Bar Refrig did not work so could not store cheese we bought. In the Hotel Bar the ice machines were out of commission so the staff suggested that the guest go next door to bar to beg for ice. On last day when it would have been a distraction, a change of rooms was offered and refused by us. Would not recommend this hotel to a friend. Charged for an item from Mini Bar and we never used it.”

“This hotel needs work in the stairway and hallways, but it is otherwise acceptable. It is short of a 4-star, when you compare it to a Westin or Hyatt, but not horribly short.”

“Hotel clean and well run. Excellent location. Room was a smoking room when non-smoking requested. OK bed, thin towels, only one bar of soap, and room carpet separated. Bags stored on arrival and room read when promised. Staff friendly.”
