• The location was okay as far as the view.
• Bathroom and hotel elevator were to small and there was no hot water.

“I thought the price was not bad, but given the accommodation, you get what you pay for, no amenities included( Internet, exercise room, but it can be a weekend type stay. May be a few upgrades as to making rooms non-smoking, refrigerator, microwave, iron and iron board.”

• Staff was excellent.
• Room smelled terrible, like mildew.

“Great location, great staff, room was dingy and weirdly assembled with strange screw holes everywhere. The room smelled very mildew and strange, but seemed clean. However, the staff was terrific and went beyond basic service levels to help us out on several occasions.”

• Parking was horrific, no fridge and no laundry facilities.

• Was given a smoking room and we don't smoke.

• The desk clerk gentleman was helpful.
• Swimming pool step entry flimsy and wobbly/dangerous and in need of replacement; pop machine not working.

“Staff helpful and pleasant; good location 2 block walk to public beach, deep clean swimming pool; good continental breakfast; However, pool steps were wobbly and the only pop machine didn't work. Rooms were very small.”

• Free breakfast and wireless internet!
• The 3rd sift clerk did not give us our wakeup call and didn't arrange a taxi for the airport for us as she said she would.

“The hotel was a great value. It was what I expected for the price and the location. Less than 5 minutes from the beach and a 8 minute walk to the bus stop. Juan, the morning clerk was great. He got us in our room early. Note: If you smoke, you might have an odor in your room. We were given a smoking room but quickly moved, as we are not smokers. The bed slept comfortably. They had free continental breakfast and free wireless internet in your room. Note: There is a $3 charge to use the hotel computer so bring your own. This hotel is great for a overnight stay if you are waiting on a cruise. I would stay there again if I am in San Juan. BTW they only had 1 working elevator but this did not affect our stay!”

• They place needs a good cleaning.

“The location is great right off Ashford Dr. in Condado. We booked a nonsmoking but got a smoking room. They worked very hard to move us to a non smoking room.”

“The location of this hotel was not in a very good location of San Juan, next time I will send the extra and feel safer about our stay.”

• Pool was cold and a little dirty.

“Really nice for an overnight stay. The room was surprisingly large; clean. Very nice location, one block from the beach and a public park area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.”

• Age and repair state of the facilities was under par for the price.

• Location was good, liked the continental breakfast.
• Hotel was old and smelled very musty. Need more bathrooms counter space?

“The hotel was fine for just one night. The elevator was very small and the room smelled musty and damp. Need more counter space in the bathroom? Liked that the hotel locked up our luggage while we waited for the time to embark on our cruise ship.”

• Friendly reception, excellent room, good location close to the beach and shopping.
• Lack of parking, but we did not have a car.

“This hotel is a comfortable family friendly place. The morning breakfast was substantial and the recently renovated rooms were well appointed and spacious. I would recommend anyone who stayed there in the past to give it another try.”

• It was fine for a few days, and a great location!
• The pool water was frigid.

“The staff at the Comfort Inn were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was abundant and offered lots of choices, the location was perfect, close to the beaches with easy access to the airport and Old San Juan. The pool was icy cold and very deep for small children. The room were fine for a hotel at this star level.”

• Good location in San Juan.
• Little run down. Need small repairs.

“Location was good. Half way between airport and port. Good for couple night stay. Hotel is a little run down but not bad. For the money it was worth it.”

• Fantastic location. One block from beach, $14 cab ride or 30 min walk from hot spots and history.
• Outside not attractive but inside more than adequate.

• The room we stayed in had a funny wet smell.

“We were staying for one night at this hotel after returning from a cruise. The room served it purpose. It was in a great location - about 2 blocks from the beach, 1 block from the bus stop and within 15 mines to old san Juan and airport. I would stay at the hotel again, especially since the price was right.”

“At checkout we were asked for $9 something for long distance phone calls. We did not pay. The desk clerk first said they were credit card calls, then 800 calls etc. She gave us the area code which en route to the airport we learned was Dominican republic. We suspect the maid made the calls if they in fact were made. Maybe one or more employees need to be replaced.”

“Staff was very friendly and helpful. Elevators were small, slow, and jerky. The lights didn't work for half the floors.”
