• Staff was so helpful.
• Restaurant prices were too high, food not so good.

“20 minute walk to Charles Bridge/Old Town, longer if you are a senior. Hotel staff bends over backwards to help you, very knowledgeable and friendly. Nearby tram stop does not have a direct line to Castle area. Despite the fact it was a big hotel, they greeted me by name. Restaurant food was overpriced.”

“Very beautiful property in excellent location. All amenities of room were outstanding. And enabled us to stay in a hotel that was a great value. Didn't use hotel restaurants. Like much of Prague, restaurants and business services were quite costly.”

• The rooms are very spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The Hotel is general is beautiful.
• Nothing.

“The hotel is a perfect destination for all travelers business or leisure. The staff is efficient and friendly. The location of the hotel is very good as we didnt have to use public transport to visit any of the sights in Prague everything was in walking distance of the hotel.”

• The bed was great - the room was very plush, clean. The location was also perfect.
• Nothing but good things to say.

• Some obnoxious staff members.

“The hotel guest room in which I stayed was pleasant, as were most of the staff. However, when I requested a taxi, I was provided with the hotel's car service and a price significantly greater than the price offered by a public taxi. I was not advised that the car was operated by the hotel. Further, I was initially provided the rate for the car by the bellman. When I asked the driver the rate, the bellman became obnoxious advising me that the rate did not change from when he told me the rate.”

• The hotel was comfortable and clean.
• No tea/coffee making facilities.

“We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel was fine in comfort and cleanliness, the staff were not helpful especially the bar staff and reception. We told reception the bathroom light had gone out and that whilst we were trying to pack and leave it was very inconvenient, she did not seem interested. We were also surprised a 5 star hotel did not have tea/coffee making facilities.”

• The rooms and staff are excellent.
• The breakfast was not included in the price. Internet connectivity was very expensive.

“Great: room quality, service of staff, central location. Poor: no breakfast included in price, expensive internet. Conclusion: a great hotel to stay at in Prague¿s old town. A bit pricier than most, but I thought it was well worth it.”

• Great rooms especially for eastern Europe.
• Exorbitant prices for food.

“Great location. Rooms are big and luxurious for eastern Europe. Food is great but prices are out of line. Also, internet prices were outrageous. Good for business travelers but not a lot of "charm.¿”

• Excellent location, nice room, comfy bed and linen.
• Swimming pool, gym, small and very crowded, I think other people use them as well as hotel guests.

“Their credit card system was not working, rejected all three of our credit card, instead of calling their merchant services, as we have suggested, they demanded a cash deposit in order to check us in, we had to contact our own bank in Canada at our own expenses. As it turned out, there was problem with their systemic think they also use their gym and pool as a health club for local people as well as hotel guests; it was a zoo down there. A small pool in a very small area down in a basement.”

• Over rated holiday inn with uncooperative staff.
• Staff is uncooperative.

“If you would like to pay for an over rated hotel then this would have to be the one. There is nothing 5 stars about this hotel. Staffing isn't too good either, although everybody smiles, you are on your own if what you ask for is beyond the concierge.”

• Location was very convenient.
• Difficult to find. Ask directions at the Hilton. Had to pay extra for parking.

“Excellent hotel and great location. It was, however, difficult to find. There are signs for the Hilton, but none for the Marriott. I recommend asking directions at the Marriott. The cost to park a vehicle was not included in the accommodation price, so be prepared to pay extra to park.”

• The coffee at the breakfast area was not very good.

“This is a great hotel from which to visit the attractions of Prague. It is beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Perfect & very accommodating reception, hotel easy to reach with airport shuttle.
• Everything was perfect!

“The Marriott Prague is a lovely 5-star hotel close to the old city of Prague, lots of restaurants, concert halls, etc. etc.. It was very easy to reach via a very inexpensive shuttle bus from the airport. The receptionists could not have been more accommodating - smoker, non-smoker, one bed, two beds, near the elevator, far from the elevator - everything was offered to us although the hotel was quite full. We would stay at the Marriott Prague in a heartbeat!”

“Service and staff of Prague Marriott make it worthwhile. The beautiful facilities and well-kept rooms provide a predictably nice stay. Nothing special about the hotel but for travelers more interested in comforts than personality, Prague Marriott should be the choice.”

“A great place to stay, very close to the underground and to the main attractions in Prague. Great services nearby (convenience store and supermarket in the same block), a lot of places for a nice and cheap breakfast (I strongly recommend the Cafe in the Obecni Dom, 2 minutes walk). Comfortable and with big rooms. I've been here twice and it's always been a pleasure.”

• Huge rooms for European standard.
• Internet rather expensive considering the restaurant next door offers free wireless.

“Great location. The Cedar bus goes from the airport to a block away for $90crowns. Taxi from airport costs $440 or more if driver tries to rip you off. Staff at the hotel are really helpful and speaks fluent English. Will definitely consider staying there again the next time I go to Prague.”

“You will get exactly what you would expect from a Marriott. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk from the train station and an easy 5-10 minute walk from either Wenceslas Square or Old Town Square. Very clean, large rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice place to come back to after walking around exploring Prague.”

“The Prague Marriott Hotel is located next to bus and train stations. The transfer to the airport is very easy - the cedaz bus commutes between the airport and a bus station next to the Marriott. The room, the lobby, and the facilities are high quality - we'll come back!”

• Was upgraded to suite with nice view of city and provided access to executive lounge.
• Unless you are upgraded to exec room, std room does not include breakfast.

“This is an excellent hotel in the center of town. Main attractions, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues are all within walking distance. Since I am a member of the Marriott's reward club and based on availability, we were upgraded to a corner suite on the 5th floor. This upgrade included access to the executive lounge on the 8th floor where complementary breakfast and cocktails were provided. The executive lounge also provided internet access computers and a large plasma TV to watch the Olympics. The suite was very nice, with large windows, medium size sitting area with a large chair and a very well appointed business desk. The suite included two queen size beds with upgraded mattress and down comforters and pillows. A nice TV plus DVD or music entertainment center were located opposite the beds. By the sitting area, a well stocked Mini bar was available. The high quality furniture was of a sober, elegant style (dark woods mostly). The bathroom was large and included a full size shower or tub. Robes and slippers supplemented the oversized towels. Evening turn down service included the standard chocolate on the pillow (always a welcomed touch). In conclusion, this is a high quality 5 star hotel that will not disappoint the business traveler or the tourist. ”

• New concierge, Petra, is tops!
• Staff discouraged use of metro and trams, which are right in the same block and very easy to use.

“This is a first class hotel which more than met expectations. We were in a very quiet room in the hotel until the party started in the function room above (Halloween). One call was all it took to get us into another room in a totally quiet section of the building. We found the concierge staff efficient but unhelpful, suggesting taxis as the only means of getting about. They were replaced by Petra (November 2005) who actually knows the city and could offer valuable suggestions. All other facets of the hotel more than met expectations. I recommend it.”

• Location is the best. Walking distance to all tourist areas

“This hotel is very conveniently placed, and is high quality in all aspects.The concierge was knowledgeable, and helped us to plan our sightseeing, and make dinner reservations.Thanks to priceline, I was able to stay at this outstanding hotel for far less than the advertised rate.”

• The service and lobby atmosphere was classy and helpful beyond belief
• There is nothing!!!!

“When one enters the driveway, there are persons willing to assist with parking. There are persons available to assist with bags and check-in. It is delightful to deal with the personnel. They were friendly and helpful. The personnel at the desk were friendly and offered an immediate greeting. The rooms were lovely. It was located equi-distant between the subway and the trolley, and a few blocks from the central square. We felt pampered, and would enjoy staying there again.”

“the marriot is located within walking distance from the center of town. it is right next to a supermarket called the billa. if one opts not to dine at the marriot, cafe houses and eateries are nearby. the hotel is well kept and the staff is friendly and courteous. the concierge is knowlegable regarding plays, concerts, and events taking place in town.”
