“Nice hotel, bad customer service.” Apr 19, 2008 by
Patricia from Belford, NJ
“As stated, it is getting too big. When that happens, the personal touch gets lost. I also did not like the new renovations to the lobby. They took always the beautiful wood and made it cold and not to the expectations a Marriott should be.” Apr 18, 2008 by
Melissa from Salem, NH
“True 5 Star Luxury Hotel.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Sara from Riverdale, GA
“This hotel is beautiful. I was there for vacation with my boyfriend and we stayed in a room that has already been renovated. It was very modern and had a huge flat screen TV, all the wood was a deep Mahogany, and there were his/hers sinks in the bathroom, along with a lot of drawer space. If you like to lay out by the beach, I recommend that you rent a cabana/hut in advance. We never utilized the pool because the beach was so beautiful. The hotel is the last one on the strip, but you're close to the excitement. It's a quick 10 minute walk down the strip to the main tourist area. We went out to dinner and rented a car with the coupons and drove all over the island, which is pretty small. My only complaints would be that the hotel's casino isn't very exciting and there wasn't any nightlife/clubs at the hotel. Other than that, it's a beautiful hotel with an extremely friendly and helpful staff.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Linda from Bettendorf, IA
“Would definitely stay here again. Loved the hotel rooms, grounds, and maid service was really good. Never had to fight for beach chairs even though we stayed in high season. Casino was nice.” Jan 14, 2008 by
Suzanne from Wantagh, NY
“For the price that we paid we were very happy. We loved the fact that we were directly on the beach. Didn't like that although you can't use the palapas at the time share next door yet they were able to use yours. You would see a family of 12 with a cooler crammed up next to you from the timeshare section. Hotel will be beautiful when completed. I did not hear one bit of construction noise during stay. Staff was excellent from the cleaner to the manager. I would go back in a heartbeat.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 20, 2007 by

“Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Renovated rooms are lovely and large with roomy bathrooms. Since this hotel is at the end of the high rise strip, less access to restaurants and shopping within walking distance.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 9, 2007 by

“The Marriott stellar is a beautiful hotel! The pool is nice and very kid friendly. The staff at the resort was very attentive and gracious! We loved everything about our experience with this resort! Rooms are large and airy. The balconies are also large. The beds are extremely comfortable!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 8, 2007 by

“I checked in to the hotel and my room was not ready at 2pm and called every hour till 11pm when I got my room key. The hotel lobby was gone wires hanging from ceilings you walk thru a construction area to get to and from all places. Our room overlooked the construction storage area. I lost my wallet (or was taken) and my cash was gone when it was found by the staff.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 24, 2007 by

“I would love to stay at this hotel again if I were to visit again.” Sep 13, 2007 by
Henrik from Brooklyn, NY
“It was a great stay.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Clark from Saint Paul, MN
“We've stayed at many Marriott's and this was not what we've come to expect from this chain. The staff was not rude, but generally had a very indifferent attitude. They were definitely not trying to exceed our expectations in any manner. The food and drinks were extremely overpriced. Our garden view room also overlooked the interior bar which was very noisy and smoky late at night. The hotel had ongoing construction which was annoying enough during the day, but also woke us up twice during the early am. We would not recommend this hotel or Aruba for that matter, to anyone. It's a very beautiful island, but it is very expensive and you don't get a very friendly vibe from any of the locals. They definitely do not live up to their "One Happy Island" slogan. It makes us wonder how they get any repeat business.” Jul 24, 2007 by
Suzanne from Wantagh, NY
“The staff was incredible and every staff member greeted me without exception. They truly are professional and appreciate the tourist. The construction noise was way too much for me. I am sure that this is only temporary and when finished the hotel will be amazing. The beach is beautiful.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Deborah from Hixson, TN
“Hotel had started a remodeling/construction and we had trailers and truck traffic from our 4th floor balcony, not a pretty sight. Also, one of the two elevators was always out of order, had to take the stairs a lot. Checking out we had to wait 6 times before getting on with our luggage. Not a good experience.” May 29, 2007 by
John from Collegeville, PA
“Beach was nice and clean, though very few waves on the west side of the island. The "main strip" of other resorts and restaurants was just a short drive away (a little far to walk). The only problem was with the high-speed internet - it simply did not work at first due to a hardware/modem problem. I had to wait around my room the first day for it person to show up then got no resolution. ” May 25, 2007 by
Mary from Sayreville, NJ
“We enjoyed our stay we had a few problems but the did the best they could to rectify the problems.” May 22, 2007 by
Amy from Aurora, OH
“The hotel was a bit outdated, the housekeeping staff was great, the front desk staff could have been more accommodating. I did not like that it was at the very end of the beach and all the restaurant were farther down. The price was great.” May 16, 2007 by
Lisa from Philadelphia, PA
“This hotel was great, with a fabulous view. Very romantic while being family friendly. The staff was courteous and pleasant in all areas. I felt as if I was being pampered and was treated like a special guest. I highly recommend this hotel to all.” May 10, 2007 by
Jill from Bow, NH
“We stayed here prior to moving to our timeshares for the next 16 days. We would stay here again.” May 4, 2007 by
Marilyn from Green Bay, WI
“Very nice hotel, great amenities. Just didn't care for room smell, location.” Apr 20, 2007 by
Melissa from Seaford, NY
“The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were oversized with a large balcony. In addition, the casino was a nice size as well, offering many machines and tables. My one suggestion is get a rental car, as the property is not in walking distance of many restaurants and the cab fares will add up quick. Overall a good choice!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 4, 2007 by
Jessica from Buffalo Grove, IL
“Nice, just above standard hotel.” Apr 3, 2007 by
Paulette from Lewiston, ME
“Loved the refrigerator large bathroom, complimentary robes available and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Our second floor room overlooking the pool was wonderful. We just enjoyed our stay tremendously at this hotel!” Mar 31, 2007 by
Demi from Marshfield, MA
“The hotel is big, right on the beach. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are beyond comfortable. The pool is great, but the chairs are on top of each other. If you're looking for an American hotel experience in Aruba- stay here!” Mar 29, 2007 by
Karen from Sunnyvale, CA
“First, the hotel was beautiful and is located on palm beach. Our room was adequate but would have preferred to have a queen size bed instead of a double bed. However, they did upgrade our room to an ocean view and that was wonderful! Next, the staff was wonderful. All very pleasant and friendly. At the lobby, there was a staff to provide you services, such as, car rental, arrangements for various activities, book massage appointments, etc. Everyone was very helpful. I would use it again to book my next hotel stay to save money and get a better quality hotel. Thanks!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 28, 2007 by

“We had a wonderful time in Aruba! We would definitely consider staying here again. The greeters were wonderful and so friendly to our son as well. The hotel room was very nice and the space was great! We loved it!” Mar 23, 2007 by
Tomasz from Bayonne, NJ
“Perfect resort experience.” Mar 14, 2007 by
Jeffrey from North Chili, NY
“Very close to beach. But, does not have interesting food to eat during the day. Day time restaurants are located in the beach, not in the lobby.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Arthur from Long Beach, NY
“The beach is beautiful, the common areas are well-maintained, and the rooms are updated and spacious. Perfect trip.” Jan 18, 2007 by
Dawn from Greensboro, NC
“Beautiful landscaping around the pool and outdoor restaurants. Ground floor room was perfect with two big fluffy beds. Nice bathrooms. Double sinks.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 7, 2007 by

“Room very clean, nice pool & beach with lot of beach chairs.” Dec 20, 2006 by
Ivan from Brighton, MA
“Beach was clean and quiet. Staff was always helpful and polite. Restaurants were very good. Beach restaurant at night was very romantic. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.” Nov 18, 2006 by
John from Ashburn, VA
“Although the Marriott makes it easy to satisfy all you needs, one has to use their facilities...or be prepared to walk a long way. You need a car for sure.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 26, 2006 by
Amanda from Eau Claire, WI
“The hotel was very beautiful and the staff was amazing. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The beach, however, was very crowded. Some days it was a chore to get a chair on the beach. I don't think I would stay here again, because I don't like feeling like a sardine on the beach.” Sep 24, 2006 by
Ceecee from Ardsley, NY
“The check in process was quick. We were given a room before the official check in time. The breakfast buffet is excellent although expensive at $19.95 a person. As an alternative, you can purchase bagels, paninnis, etc., at the "breakfast" desert counter in the lobby which is open 24 hours. The pool is very clean and ranges from 3 1/2 feet deep to 5 feet deep. There is a nice Jacuzzi near the main pool, but private. The ocean and beach is great- no seaweed or icky things! The casino is great. If you are traveling with someone who is not "family" make sure that only ONE person signs up for a casino card and ask for an additional card in that person's name. That way the points that you earn will go towards payment of food charges, etc.. We saved $116.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Aug 31, 2006 by
Aisha from Brooklyn, NY
“The Marriott Stellar is was conveniently located on the beach. The facilities were above average and the service at the hotel was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Aruba. It is also great for weddings!” May 13, 2006 by
Cheryl from Anderson, SC
“Hotel was on nice beach. View of Sunset was great. Lots of kids.” Apr 13, 2006 by
Janyce from Ellijay, GA
“Room was large and nicely decorated although smelled musty--should close casino doors to keep smoke contained-we had to put a towel at bottom of door to keep smoke and noise from casino out.” Apr 12, 2006 by
Katerina from Coconut Creek, FL
“The hotel was perfect. I could not have had a better, more beautiful or complete stay! I highly recommend this hotel to couples, families and groups of friends (like my group).” Mar 31, 2006 by
Nancy from Scandinavia, WI
“Nice resort hotel.” Feb 22, 2006 by
Lynn from Windsor Locks, CT
“Hotel is beautiful. It would not break them to offer munchies at the bars - popcorn, chips, pretzels, whatever - especially during happy hour. Casino was very "tight".” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Feb 16, 2006 by
Lesli from Newbury, MA
“Beautiful, clean, friendly and staff always helpful. Everything on the island is accessible as cabs are ready and waiting. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 5, 2005 by

“The food was limited to a mediocre deli take out, or high end restaurants - nothing in between. Upon check in, there was a problem getting a room with 2 beds - waited 20 minutes for an answer. The most important problem was the mattress. I have a Marriott mattress at home, and was shocked that their mattresses not only didn't have the thick mattress pad they usually do, it didn't have ANY. So the mattress was very uncomfortable - like sleeping on an air mattress. I asked at the front desk about it and they said many of their mattresses don't have mattress pads. That was very surprising and overall a little disturbing - just think of how many germs those mattresses have now! Overall the room was a little out dated and dingy for a Marriott. Would not like to stay there again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 20, 2005 by
Johannes from Norfolk, VA
“Great room. Very large balcony. Nice view. All amenities close at hand. Nice beach. Take a good supply of bug repellant with you, because of the many bugs. For snorkeling you have to go out to sea a bit. Luxurious feeling. Prices of consumables in the hotel are very high. Many take the bus to a local supermarket to stock up.” Nov 13, 2005 by
Virginia from Methuen, MA
“We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Very nice, convenient to restaurants etc. Rooms very nice, beach small, limited seating on the beach, nice beach restaurant. But it is Aruba and anywhere in Aruba is great.” Oct 21, 2005 by
David from Leominster, MA
“I enjoyed my stay, the pool area was wonderful, the casino was very tight. The food was less than average, the staff was wonderful and pleasant, the room was excellent. Sleep like a baby in those very comfortable beds.” Dec 20, 2004 by
Tom S. from Corbin “Excellent location on Palm Beach. Room was upgraded to a fabulous top floor corner room with spectacular views both directions down the beach, and a large wrap-around verandah. Unbelievable views and location, and unbelieveable upgrade (about a 5 level upgrade).” Sep 19, 2004 by
Robert B. from Harrisburg, PA “Highly recommend this hotel unless you want to be near downtown. No reason to be downtown unless you are there for shopping and nightlife other than casino gaming. There are several other hotels nearby. Butterfly Farm is within walking distance. Excellent everything from the staff to the restaurants. Only thing it lacks is a night club.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
