Research User Reviews for Hyatt Regency Aruba (1-5 of 5)

“I would not stay at the Hyatt in Aruba ever again. The staff was not helpful and could care less if the guests are happy. The renovations in the room were poor. My fiance and I could hear everything that the group of people were saying in the room next to us. I have to say the concierge was very helpful. She was actually happy to help guests.” Dec 4, 2008 by

“The hotel is not well run and the GM does not care about guests being happy. The water is very dirty and smells of human waste. The area around the hotel has been built up too much and they can't treat the sewage. The sewers overflow and it's the worst thing. You can't see your feet in the water in front of the Hyatt and the ground is mush like dead matter with garbage. The hotel rooms are not nice anymore I was there twice and the renovation is cheap. Our room even smelled and the sheets were not changed for 3 days. Carpet so dirty in rooms we would only walk with socks on. Bead spread was fit to sit or put your body on as there were stains from others! The bugs on the beach were too much to handle. Noise in the room and could not sleep from other rooms and construction. This used to be a good place but no more. Tried to get things done by contacting the general manager and she never even called. Stay away, you've been warned!” May 27, 2008 by

“The hotel was great, and the food was excellent. Camped out on the beach (where the attendants were very helpful) I watched all of the sporting activities--there was a ton of activity. The bar on the pier was lively once the sun set. Best place to eat on the island: Flying Fishbone. While the Hyatt in Aruba is nice, Aruba itself is not worth the trip. It is not a tropical island. Rather it's a wind swept sand bar 20 miles north of Venezuela. Try the Hyatt on Kauai. As nice as their property is on Aruba, the one on Kauai is incredible, and that island offers a ton of natural beauty as well.” Apr 15, 2008 by

“Hotel was nice, probably would not go back again. Service is very slow in and around the resort. No one seems to want to wait on you at any time. Beach is nice and clean, but hotel did not provide enough activities as in other resorts we have stayed at. Nothing going on at the beach. Food and drinks extremely pricey. Overall we loved Aruba, just probably would not stay at this hotel.” Aug 9, 2006 by

“The service was not satisfactory. Also I was very disappointed to walk into my room and find the maid making out in my bathroom with another staff member. This was very disgusting. Also, the Air conditioner was not working; we called maintenance to fix it; they never bothered. The location of the hotel is great; the service is awful.” 3 of 5 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
