“This was a wonderful hotel right on Palm Beach in Aruba. The service was incredible and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. We loved our stay here and would love to stay here again.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Coqui from Argyle, TX
“This was a great hotel for our last 3 nights in Aruba. The comfort in the room was amazing, the activities were well planned out and kids had fun, the drinks at the pool area were reasonably priced and very delicious -- overall we had a fabulous time at the Westin Aruba resort. The only item we had was that the pool needs some renovation to it (noticed cracks/tiles missing) but other than that it was perfect.” May 3, 2008 by
Rich from Nanuet, NY
“Nice place. Friendly staff. Good value. Not close to five star but a good 4. Great location, beach and pool.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Ginger from Howell, MI
“It was great, from check in to check out. They had our info gave us the room key and info within 2 minutes. Check out even simpler. Bathroom needs an update, but not bad. Everything very clean and we never saw the maid. View from the room was beautiful, pool and ocean couldn't be better.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Rob from Avon, OH
“When looking to grab an extra night or two in Aruba this is an excellent choice.” Mar 29, 2008 by
Rita from Cherry Hill, NJ
“The hotel was nice but did not have that "resort" feeling. Felt too much like a hotel.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Dan from Minster, OH
“Overall a descent hotel and location however the recent remodeling would have been greatly improved with just slightly more detail given to the upgrade. Details such as caulking of tiles around bathtub were done so poorly it gives a feeling of uncleanness. Shower must be ran slowly or forced to stand in drain water.” Mar 20, 2008 by
Sari from Bayonne, NJ
“My husband and I had an excellent time here. We wish we could've stayed longer than 2 nights. I hope to visit again soon!” Mar 19, 2008 by
Robert from Palm Springs, CA
“Zerena, Tecla, Angie and Aida were exemplary in their service and kindness. The pool staff were kind and attentive. The room was spacious and quiet. The balcony was spacious. They could make a policy of being more Gay Friendly. I would like to recommend my gay friends to visit if that were changed.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Jason from Lincoln, RI
“The Westin Aruba is a great location and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to return. I read some reviews on Trip Advisor which worried me at first but after staying there I feel that this is a first class place to stay. I can't wait to go back.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Carol from Concord, NH
“Well appointed. Courteous staff that went the extra mile to help. Clean rooms. A balcony for everyone. Room service at night.” Mar 15, 2008 by
Lynne from Manassas, VA
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds were beautiful. The workout facility was state-of-the-art. We highly recommend this hotel.” Mar 12, 2008 by
Esteban from Berwyn, IL
“Very nice hotel and the staff is very friendly.” Mar 8, 2008 by
One H. from Marlborough, CT
“We enjoyed the stay, the staff was excellent and very attentive and helpful. The beach was very nice and clean, we did not eat there so cannot comment on the food. Would stay there again with no hesitation.” Feb 9, 2008 by
Paige from Wendell, NC
“For the money, I've stayed at much nicer resorts. But, it still was a very nice place to stay. Construction in lobby and neighboring construction not likely to go away anytime soon.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Red from Blacksburg, VA
“The hotel was great.” Jan 10, 2008 by
Dave from Ramsey, NJ
“Extremely average. Parking area is cramped. Didn't use valet service but can take 20 minutes to get car out. Breakfast buffet is best value. Large flat screen TVs; however reception has a lot of static. ESPN2, but no ESPN? Cable package is lacking for 4 stars. No water fountains to be found. Japanese Restaurant best value and service. Italian Restaurant service is brutally slow even for Aruba.” Jan 10, 2008 by
Christine from Hawthorne, NJ
“Wonderful location, warm and helpful staff, a beautiful pool, lounge, terrace dining area directly next to a white sand beach all made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We weren't able to get reservations at the Japanese Hibachi Tables at Blossoms Restaurant in the hotel and they need more late night dining options (just having the bar by the pool open later with some light snacks would work.) Also they could provide more information on how things work at the hotel, for instance, the need to reserve a Cabana at the beach at 5am if you need some shade. But overall, it would be hard not to have a good vacation here!” Dec 19, 2007 by
Sj from Centerburg, OH
“Great shops, staff, and clean. Nice beach and pool area. Located between eagle beach and palm beach. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Get an ocean view room worth the $$$.” Dec 14, 2007 by
Jim from Raritan, NJ
“This hotel was undergoing minor construction and didn't bother us a bit. I got this room for about a third of the price anyone else would have paid. Great deal!” Dec 8, 2007 by
Joe from East Boston, MA
“Hey nice hotel but if I knew construction was going on would have like to stayed some where else.” Dec 7, 2007 by
Alex from East Greenwich, RI
“Under renovation in some areas, so there was some noise. Staff friendly as is the case in Aruba. However front desk was slow and understaffed.” Dec 5, 2007 by
Matt from Greenwich, CT
“Once the construction is finished the hotel will be great, but compared to the other hotels on this road, the common areas (lobby, shops etc) were well below the average. Room was quiet and comfortable and the deck offered a great view. I would stay here again, but would not rule out trying another hotel next time.” Dec 1, 2007 by
Brian from New York, NY
“This is a nice hotel on the beach in Aruba. Compared to the other hotels in Palm Beach, it's probably the fourth nicest out of eight or so. If we had paid full price I would have been upset about the construction, but given our discount I didn't care. Our room didn't really look at the ocean either, unless you leaned over the balcony. But overall it's a very nice hotel. The staff was very nice and friendly. The elevators were fast, which is more important than you think. The room was spacious and cleaned well. The pool area is OK; large but not elaborate. Some of the others hotels we visited there were four stars. This is definitely just three starts, but a solid three.” Nov 19, 2007 by
Doug from West Hartford, CT
“Initial room was very nice but had construction noise. Asked to be relocated and new room had a strong mildew odor. Asked again for a new room and got a desirable room without any issues. This hotel has great potential with a few improvements. Happy to go back there again.” Nov 15, 2007 by
Mary from Wantage, NJ
“Views are ok. Pool is ok. Lousy compared to massive resorts that reside next to the hotel. Says it is all inclusive but when you get there, they say they offer a package for all inclusive. All restaurants are overpriced. Mediocre breakfast buffet is $20 each plus 17% charge on all meals. Staff rushes you off the beach in late afternoon for their restaurant to serve dinner at sunset then has a wedding on the other side providing minimal room to enjoy the beach. Beach towels and rafts are unavailable after 4:00 p.m. While there is plenty of daylight left. Doormen run a scam when you arrive, offering to take your bags. You tip they walk your bags into the lobby maybe ten steps and pass you off to someone else for another tip to take to your room.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Amanda from Jersey City, NJ
“This hotel was a real disappointment. I'm shocked it's a Westin hotel. The place was under construction during our visit, but I doubt the experience would have been much better if it weren't. The construction was drilling and the staff was unapologetic about it. We asked to change rooms so we wouldn't hear the drilling at 7 am and we were told there were none available. We found a vacant room on another floor and they moved us there after we insisted. The food in the restaurant was poor your option was fried or fried and it was grossly overpriced. Ordering the local beer is a mistake that will cost you dearly. In addition, we felt our rooms were barely cleaned. The bathroom floors were grimy and the room we stayed in smelled strongly of mildew. We cut our trip short by three days because we had such a terrible time.” Oct 27, 2007 by
Jason from Huntington, NY
“The hotel overall is great, as it is finishing renovations. The rooms are beautiful, although we had a problem in that our toilet leaked and the staff took too long to fix the problem. The lobby us undergoing renovations but will be terrific when completed.” Oct 12, 2007 by
Charlotte from Mansfield, MA
“The Westin Aruba is in a great location and the staff though somewhat disorganized and slow was generally friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a big, beautiful room at no extra charge after telling them we were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary. They also delivered complimentary champagne. The only thing I did not like was the construction going on around the hotel. It sort of mars the beautiful views. This is not their fault entirely as some, if not most, is not their own construction. For what we paid we got more than got our money's worth!” Oct 5, 2007 by
Marcy from Dartmouth, MA
“For the most part the hotel was great. The only downfall is that the main lobby was under construction so we had to use the lower lobby and it was very loud with the drilling. I also didn't like that there was no type of entertainment out by the pool. Usually they have day time activities.” Sep 28, 2007 by
Leron from Washington, DC
“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean, beds very comfortable and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel could improve by adding more activities and enhancing the quality and variety of food options available at hotel operated outdoor restaurant.” Sep 10, 2007 by
Vivian from Glenarden, MD
“I called ahead to request a handicap accessible room and was told ok. When I attired they told me they only had 1 room and that wads taken. I was very angry and not sure what I would do to take a shower. Westin was non apologetic bad axed like they cold care less. Do plan to contact ado.” Sep 9, 2007 by
Marian from Bellmore, NY
“Rooms are nice getting food here is very pricey breakfast between $17 and $22 a person cheap one tastes bad.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Abraham from Great Neck, NY
“Three-light bulbs out, coffee maker broken, safe not working, missing towels, missing soap, graffiti on the door, not enough space for parking.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Bianca B. from Raleigh, NC
“Amazing! Beautiful beach right outside your door. Very friendly staff. Great location.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 27, 2007 by

“Fabulous rooms and service, but not much to do like at other beach resorts.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Debbie from Nesconset, NY
“We had a very nice and relaxing time. The accommodations were very nice and the pool area and the beach were beautiful. I was disappointed about how you would have to get up at six in the morning to reserve a hut on the beach. I would not do this. I am on vacation and don't want to do this.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Julien from Lake Charles, LA
“I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel! I have always preferred and chosen Westin when possible. Most hotels that are charging justifiably high rates will have amenities and comforts that are free of charge. Come on; when you're paying per night is it really necessary to charge $15 to use the internet in your own computer in your room? Ridiculous. Other than that the restaurants were great and well priced and of course, on the beaches of Aruba the location was perfect! Overall great experience, just wish there wasn't so much damage in the back pocket for things that should just be included.” Jul 27, 2007 by
Cynthia from Pittsburgh, PA
“Really thought the rooms were great however, I am not sure if all rooms dealt with high humidity in their rooms. Would have liked it to have been environmentally friendly, but the bathroom towels would not dry. The carpet on the floor was damp and my hair held moisture.” Jul 15, 2007 by
Jen from Glendale, AZ
“Great value. You get an elegant atmosphere for the money and it's in a nice location on the island. Highly recommend.” Jun 30, 2007 by
David from Carlsbad, CA
“The Westin Aruba is as high of a quality hotel as we would expect to see in the u.s. The employees were fantastic and very helpful to us when our luggage was 24 hours late. (Thanks American airlines.).” Jun 1, 2007 by
Akis from Monterey, CA
“Very close to the beach, clean rooms with good view, and close to public transportation.” Jun 1, 2007 by
Dawn from Berwick, ME
“Check in was handled extremely fast, bellman brought lemonade, I had asked for a certain side of the hotel and I received my request. Bellman was exceptional explaining about the hotel services and the room. Pool was very large and excellent. Staff exceptionally friendly. Rooms are well maintained and very clean. Great location to other attractions. The beach area was very crowded in the day time, but this hotel is very large with a lot of rooms. We would return we had a great time.” May 30, 2007 by
Jose from Doral, FL
“Good location, beautiful beach, the hotel exterior needs some paint.” May 10, 2007 by
Z from Gaithersburg, MD
“Great stay. Will go back again. Was upgraded to a room with a view--we did go during low season though.” Mar 26, 2007 by
Jason from Chicago, IL
“I missed my flight down due to storms, and arrived two days later than I had originally booked. You canceled my reservation even though I was in contact with the revenue manager at the Westin (I had informed her of my delay). Major hassle in keeping my reservation that wasn't my fault. Why did you cancel it? Why?” Mar 20, 2007 by
Leslie from Maywood, NJ
“Overall a good place, definitely value for money, the lobby bar staff and front office staff could be friendlier.” Mar 7, 2007 by
Bernie from Centreville, VA
“Property was advertised as being renovated. Paint was peeling and falling from the bathroom ceiling. Exposed wires in the room.” Sep 15, 2006 by
Kim from Bronx, NY
“The best location on Palm Beach, right on the beach, not too crowded, very convenient to all. On Palm Beach but close enough for a nice walk to Eagle Beach. Good service, staff and amenities, more relaxed atmosphere than the Marriott. Most rooms overlook the ocean. Breakfast buffet was a feast and quite reasonable. Management is changing from Wyndham to Westin.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 10, 2006 by

“Overall facilities such as the pool, beach and restaurants were fantastic. The room however smelled musty and damp. We had read about people having this experience who were then moved to different rooms where this was remedied. Because of this, we expressed this concern to the hotel in advance and were written back by hotel staff that we would be placed in a room on a higher floor where this was not a problem. We were first placed in room 711 and immediately requested another room on a higher floor as it smelled very musty. We were moved up three floors (there are a total of 18 floors) to room 1031. This room also smelled musty. We spoke with the front desk manager who said no other rooms in our "class of service" were available. They placed an "ozone machine" in our room that did not help the problem. Otherwise the front desk staff was simply not willing to make the situation right and we ended up spending 6 nights in our musty room. I travel a great deal for work both domestically and internationally and in all my travels have never encountered a hotel that was not willing to make things right when they provided insufficient facilities. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
