• The staff was amazingly polite, knowledgeable and courteous.
• Need a Starbuck quality coffee and deli within the hotel.

“This is a very delightful place with staff eager to help and make our first Mexico experience delightful. The food almost everywhere in the city is amazing but affordable. We will certainly be back next year as we can not think of a place where we did not spend a whole lot of money but got the best vacation for a family of four. The only add I have is, for a hotel of this quality someone forgot to include a Starbuck quality coffee, which forced us to make a daily trip to the downtown which at times did not meet my metrics of having fun.”

• It was secluded somewhat.
• The bedding was uncomfortable/ no ocean view.

“Aesthetically pleasing, secluded (good and bad). It was some distance from downtown, no restaurants near by.”

• They gave me a room upgrade after an hour with the staff about the uninhabitable of my first room.
• The construction was very loud and the hotel should not have been open in this state.

“The hotel was under construction and as such was not a 4star hotel during my stay. I only got a reasonable room after a very long discussion with management about the sound and unpleasantness issues re: the construction. However, the staff was helpful in the end and they gave me some nice vouchers to use in their restaurants/spa to make up for the inconvenience. That was nice, but I got sick from brushing my teeth with the water there, I guess I should have known better, what with this being Mexico and all, but I was hoping they would have clean water in a 4star hotel.”

• The food was great and very reasonably priced.
• The location, although private is far from the center of town.

“The hotel far met my expectations. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. There was construction at the hotel at the time but we didn't notice since we were out during the day. The hotel compensated guests with coupon vouchers for goods and services in the hotel. Very happy with my experience.”

• Both the pool & lobby area were fabulous. Great places to relax.
• Some bugs in the room.

“We were only there for 1 night but our experience was great. Great facilities, friendly staff, very helpful. It was a little ways from downtown PV so didn't expect that but probably also made for a better nights sleep! Would stay there again.”

• Location very relaxing, right on the beach & landscaping around the property is lush. Always a breeze coming through the entry hall.
• Room smelled a little musty on first arrival, but opening sliding balcony doors helped. Everything else great.

“Even though we arrived around noon, well before the 4 p.m. check-in time, they had express check-in for us. Whole property is beautiful & location is away from the main hotel zone, but still near other resort properties and an easy bus ride into town. Pool & beach location are great. Room was not the largest I have ever been in, but I didn't come to PV to stay inside my hotel room all the time! I would definitely come back & recommend this to all my friends. Compares favorably to the other high end resorts in the area.”

• The beach front location and nearby Marina was great.
• Nothing.

“Very nice and comfortable rooms. Pool area had plenty of lounge chairs. Definitely would recommend the Casa Magna Marriot if staying in the Puerto Vallarta area.”

• The pool is excellent, and I loved the swim-up bar.
• The ocean water outside the hotel is inhospitable, and a magnet for jellyfish.

“I ran into snag after snag with my stay at the hotel, and it made my vacation more stressful than it had to be. Since wireless is something that I could not deal with out, I ponies up the money. After charging me for the service, I found out that the signal wasnt strong enough to work in the room I had been staying in, as one of the antennas had been on the fritz for several months. After lots of complaining, the manager finally allowed me to use the wireless internet for free in the lobby, yet I lost nearly 3 hours of my first day on vacation dealing with the red tape.”

• This hotel was ideally located in the Marina area of Puerto Vallarta. It was well-maintained and the staff was very friendly.
• The restaurants at the hotel were horrible.

“I booked six nights and then added a seventh (the same day I made the original reservation). For whatever reason, there were two separate reservations. One had us checking out June 30, and another had us checking back in June 30. Fine, except it was a nightmare that had to be dealt with at the front desk four separate times. The front desk staff was not apologetic at all, when our room keys (twice) did not work due to the reservation issues. That was the main disappointment of our stay. Our housekeeper/maid was wonderful and took very good care of us.”

• The hotel is in the Marina area right on the beach.
• Nothing is complimentary! Not even in-room coffee! Everything sold by the hotel is expensive.

“The hotel is very nice. Housekeeping in the room was not as perfect as I would've expected but definitely satisfactory. Very comfortable beds. Hotel is not close enough to the downtown area for my taste.”

• I liked the ocean view from the pool.
• I enjoyed everything about the hotel.

“This hotel is great for families, they have many activities for children. all the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. I traveled with my nine year son and we had a great time.”

• The staff was tremendously helpful and courteous!!!
• Location is not near most of the attractions in Puerto Vallarta.

“This is a great resort, probably the best in Puerto Vallarta. The staff went out of their way to make our vacation more enjoyable. The grounds were super clean. They offered activities on the resort grounds throughout the day. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.”

• Building a big tower next to it and made noise.

• Extremely friendly, clean and simply beautiful.
• A little farther from the downtown than other hotels.

“The Marriott Casamagna truly is a wonderful hotel. I stayed there for four nights with my girlfriend. The staff was extremely friendly. There were many activities during the day, e.g. water aerobics, beach volleyball, cocktail and cooking classes, salsa and meringue dancing. It was located not too far from the airport and the downtown (fares of $4 and $6, respectively). It is walking distance from the Marina, with its own share of eclectic stores and restaurants. We also stayed at the El President Intercontinental during this trip, which cost us twice as much and not nearly as nice. I would definitely go back to this hotel again.”

• The staff were friendly, very helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and spoke English.
• It was more like a hotel than a resort, ie: small rooms, not many entertainment extras.

“We had a very nice stay. Check in was quick, easy. Our stay was very relaxing. Beautiful, clean hotel. The staff were helpful and knew the area. An important feature for me - except for the maid, all staff spoke English very well.There wasn't a lot to do at the hotel itself, but there was much to do and see in the city.”

• The staff was VERY friendly and took pride in their jobs. We felt very safe and happy our entire stay thanks to the fabulous staff of this hotel.
• Being a young couple, we wanted to experience more nightlife. This hotel is in the marina area, far away from the nightclubs.

“My husband and I visited this hotel on our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time as everyone working there treated us like friends. The hotel staff strived to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Once we called for extra coffee and after it was delivered, we recieved a phone call asking us if we had received our coffee and was the staff member friendly and professional. The same happened after we asked for extra towels. The pool area is wonderful and the grounds are excellently taken care of. The Casamagna Mariott is a wonderful hotel and I would not hesitate to stay there again.”

“Beautiful resort. Huge. Elegant. Great area outside of the Centro area of PV. Short and inexpensive bus ride to town and back. Room was fantastic. Huge bathroom. Wife loved the place.
Therefore, I loved the place.”

“Marriott Casa Magna is located less than 2 km from the Puerto Vallarta Airport. Free parking, if needed, is provided. Staff response is excellent. Restaurants are overpriced for Puerto Vallarta with pricing similar to larger city U.S. Drink costs are also comparable to hotels in the U.S. Room was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping is exceptionally responsive to requests. There were some maintenance issues, light bulbs and a faulty safe that was finally replaced after the 3rd complaint.”
