“Rooms were clean and view was awful.” Aug 28, 2009 by
Jag from Southfield,MI
“On arrival at the hotel I was made to sign a paper that said there will be $156 more that I will have to pay. I was shocked. So instead of paying $156 per night, I ended up paying close to $200 per night.” May 3, 2009 by
Bob from Hayward,CA
“The hotel has nice pools, a nice beach and the rooms were in good condition and fairly large. The view of the water from every room guarantees a good view. The food on location was poor and very expensive.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Caitlin from Califon,NJ
“The hotel grounds were beautiful. It had numerous pools so none of them were crowded and there was a large stretch of beach. The food and beverage prices were quite expensive and upon leaving we were given a bill with over $100 of additional service charges added on. We thought we got a good on the hotel however, all of the additional fees added on throughout our stay didn't make it such a Apr 21, 2009 by

“More suited to business travelers, great beds.” Apr 16, 2009 by
Frederick from Frederick,MD
“The Sheraton/Wyndam complex is the right place for leisurely vacation. Very nice beachfront with clean sand and water. The beach is augmented with a four pool system - a different pool for every mood. The prices of food and drink were fairly priced for a resort. Many eating options allowed for economy. The rooms were nice but the bathtub drained very slow.” Apr 3, 2009 by
Julia from Toronto,Canada
“The hotel was great - nice beach, friendly staff. Unfortunately our neighbors checked out but left their alarm clock set. The first morning that it went off, we called front desk who sent someone to turn it off. Unfortunately they hit snooze and it went of the next day, same time. On day 2 it took 45 minutes for someone to come turn it off. This is not how I wanted to spend the mornings on my vacation. Otherwise - a nice place to stay.” Mar 12, 2009 by
Michael from West Bloomfield,MI
“Recently arrived from a stay at the Sheraton Nassau Beach. As an SPG Corporate Preferred Member I was shocked by the terrible service and overall standards at this hotel. I arrived in my room which the front desk individual stated had a great view of the Ocean. My view was of the other half of the hotel and a partial pool view. I checked into our room and what was the first thing I saw, a dirty bathroom door with a stain on handle and door panel. Upon entering the bathroom 3 of the 4 light bulbs were out. I called down to the front desk, they indicated I could have the room re-cleaned or wait two hours for another room. I checked in at 2:30, our room was guaranteed by 3PM so I told them to come fix the bathroom. Once the lights were working and the bathroom cleaned I saw bugs in the sink which I asked the cleaning lady to also clean, which she gave us attitude about stating she just cleaned the room. Thinking my problems were over I went to the pool and ordered some food Dolphin Grill. The chicken sandwich I ordered (Jerk grilled chicken) came out partially raw. I sent it back and got it back burned. I also request a drink which came after the chicken sandwich was re-cooked and mostly eaten. That evening I requested foam pillows as I am mildly allergic to feathers. Once I got back three hours later still no foam pillows, I was so tired I just slept on the current pillows. The next day I requested my linens changed and my foam pillows. I looked at the new linens only to find a large stain. We called for the cleaning lady to come back and she rudely exclaimed that she already changed the linens. She was upset that we made her come back, once we showed her the large stain she just brushed it off like she was not responsible for checking the sheets. At 6pm still no foam pillows, so I called again, which I finally got an hour later. Upon returning late in the evening after diner (11PM) I walked into my room to find a white box delivered to me.” Mar 5, 2009 by
Karen from Chicago,IL
“The room was comfortable but common area especially the hall way to the room need improvement. It felt like we were going into the service area or back room. People staying there were noisy at night. creaming to other side of balcony.” Feb 21, 2009 by
Pete from Ottawa,Canada
“This hotel lived up to what I've come to expect from the Sheraton name. Tasteful and elegant design, welcoming lobby and very professional and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and exactly what we needed after an early morning flight to Nassau before leaving for the outer islands the next day. Given our short stay, the resort fees were a surprise and a disappointment. We never used any of the common facilities and we've never been hit up for other fees for undefined services before.” Feb 15, 2009 by
Lisap from Baltimore,MD
“The front desk was very helpful and faxed my document for me free! I like that Starbuck's was available in the rooms. Not sure I like the automatic bellboy charge and $15/day maid service; but then the airlines have increased their prices too. The rooms were clean and though large I found easy access to the beach outside. I think the café could have lowered their prices, hence gotten more business. Coffee was overpriced.” Jan 2, 2009 by
Lynn from Brooklyn,NY “Modern hotel with tons of amenities. Beach is beautiful and convenient. Food is great. loads of activities for family. If you don't want the craziness that paradise island can be, stay here.” Oct 8, 2008 by
Jamia
“Beautiful hotel. Not such a great neighborhood as it is away from everything. Sep 12, 2008 by
Betty R. from Killeen, TX
“NA.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Mayer from Williamsville, NY
“Being off season the hotel was only 50 percent full, and was way overpriced. Above that, can get away with a resort fee just because its considered a resort. This hotel and resort do not belong in one sentence.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Nath from Granby, QC
“Need to refresh (decoration) and paint everywhere.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Kamaldeep from Miami, FL
“I hated to stay in this hotel. When we reached, we had to wait over an hour before we could check in. Staff is not at all courteous and helpful, my room was not clean enough, the AC was not working. I asked for change of room or someone to fix AC to no avail. The resort doesn't offer much, even the chairs on beach were not provided with umbrellas. The towels hut were always out of towels. The resort fee of $15 a day per person was not worth it because it had nothing to offer. Very bad experience. We are glad we end up spending most of our time at Atlantis to make us feel better. Wyndham is big no for future.” Jul 1, 2008 by
Genevieve
“Beautiful facility but be aware there are quite a few extra charges not covered in your room cost.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Robin from Brooklyn, NY
“This hotel is a budget hotel. The property is extremely old and in need of complete updating. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are small, with tiny bathrooms. Onsite restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was very tasty, however, service is extremely slow. The hotel is located across the street from a public beach, within walking distance to downtown shopping (Straw Market) and dining. The famous Fish Fry eateries are also within walking distance. My overall experience with this hotel was fair to good. I would only stay at this hotel again if I was traveling with a small budget. This hotel is good only if you are interested in a cheap hotel without many amenities.” Jun 27, 2008 by
Maria from Boca Raton, FL
“This hotel is situated well enough in the center of town; you can walk to Bay Street, US Embassy, McDonald's, easy. It's by the main road which makes transportation accessible. Clean enough hotels - lobby, main areas. Hospitality is average to above average. The elevator works a bit slow. Rooms are quite acceptable, has a small refrigerator, no microwave, clean bathroom. Overall, quite ok, except for a mandatory $10/per person/day fee for maid service, etc. I would rather they incorporate that in the main fee, that way they do not inadvertently market themselves lower in value, which for me is a bit misleading.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Carla from Taos, NM
“The palm hotel is perfect if you like lime green, bad food, easy access to drug dealers, snippy staff & noise. Have fun!” Jun 1, 2008 by
Brad from Palatine, IL
“It was a great value. There were roaches. The location was okay, but it was not close to any other resort areas. The walk to the main Paradise Island hotels was about 45 minutes. The bed was hard and the air-conditioning was so-so. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, either.” May 31, 2008 by
Yanyan from Edgewater, NJ
“The room was comfortable as expected from the Wyndham. The facilities are a little run down but still function well, the beach makes up for the downsides. Food was very expensive and poor quality, so I recommend to catch a bus to the Fish Fry, or to down town Cafe Skan for meals. We asked for concierge to send our bags up to the room once we've checked in, but this did not happen. We found our bags sitting unattended in the lobby. At this rate it would have been better to stay at the Atlantis on Paradise Island. We ended up spending 2 out of 4 days there anyway. Tip: the margarita shack across the road from the Wyndham is very good, with $5 margaritas. Quality beats the hotel drinks too!” May 23, 2008 by
Nancy from Laval, QC CA
“The hotel is ok but we were kind of forced to eat at the resort since there are no restaurant near by plus the public bus is until 18:00 so we have to had a taxi ride to eat out. Very expansive island to eat. Than beaches are beautiful.” May 8, 2008 by
Keeneya from Tobyhanna, PA
“The hotel is good except for the vacation club people who are annoying. The views are great from the H tower; however there are views from other rooms that are not as nice. The food is very expensive and I would think if the resort wanted to keep their restaurants fill they would do something about that. There is a Daiquiri stand across the street- fresh fruit! And if you walk towards the Sheraton and across the street there is a women who sells meals for $7.00- the choices are chicken, pork, goat and fish cooked various ways and come with the choice of rice, Cole slaw, Mac n cheese and potatoes salad. The rooms are nice and clean. But need microwaves. You can also take the $1 van to fish fry where there are restaurants. The van runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. so a taxi is needed in the evenings.” May 8, 2008 by
Gayle from La Palma, CA
“Rooms need to be upgraded.” Apr 30, 2008 by
James from Burlington, ON CA
“The hotel is pretty much what we expected. We weren't told that we were going to pay an extra fee.” Apr 30, 2008 by
Liz from Magnolia, DE
“The Wyndham would have been a nice place to stay for a night or two if it wasn't for the fact that it was completely over run by spring breakers. And not just any spring breakers, high school aged spring breakers. The beach was totally trashed and there were loud, obnoxious contests going on through the day. I was happy to be only spending a night there.” Apr 25, 2008 by
Stephanie J. from Bourne, MD
“We were very pleased with the location. The maid accommodated our requests on a daily basis, the taxis are waiting out front as well as the bus. My group played pool, chess, basketball, and the casino is very nice. The hotel is beautiful and we had an ocean view room which we had not reserved ahead so a surprise. Staff is friendly, polite and helpful. I would absolutely return.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Jeff from Orlando, FL
“At its prime I am sure this was the place to stay but now it's behind the times. It is being updated but from what I saw it will still be outdated.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Jean from Montclair, NJ
“The hotel has to be remodeled.” Feb 25, 2008 by
Perry from West Palm Beach, FL
“The hotel was fair rooms were clean and flesh overall for price it is great value for your dollar.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Jeff from Richmond Hill, ON CA
“Overall a decent place. Rooms have been upgraded, but some construction going on which can be noisy. Amazing location.” Jan 28, 2008 by
Linda from Edmonton, AB CA
“Room was not ready until 4pm. Common areas are a bit tired, but lobby recently renovated. If we had been staying longer I would have asked to be moved to a nicer room as ours was a bit tired. View was good.” Jan 26, 2008 by
Michael from New York, NY
“Hidden fees, felt nickel and dimed. Food was disgusting and overpriced. Hotel lobby is falling apart.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Nate from Morehead, KY
“Overall, a good stay. No problems. Would've been nice to win a little more in the casino.” Jan 13, 2008 by
James from Tewksbury, MA
“This hotel is a gem for a three star. I was expecting the worst when reading some of the other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised at how great the hotel was. The staff was amazing in every way and we couldn't have asked for anything more between the food, casino, and room. I think this is one of the best deals on the island and I plan on staying there again.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Mit from Centreville, VA
“Worst hotel I have stayed in - puddles of water in the lobby, paint peeling off from the walls and the ceiling, cigarette smelling sheets, blankets and mattresses.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Lynette from Boulder, CO
“I got the impression that since the hotel was going to be razed in a few days, they didn't care at all about our happiness or comfort. I felt they charged us a bogus charge because we got such a good price on our room. For a hundred dollars, we could have chosen a hotel near the airport and saved the cab fare.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Tony from Detroit Lakes, MN
“This hotel had the best rates available and was surprisingly nice. I was very satisfied with staff, location, amenities. If I could get the same room for the same price I will do it again in a heartbeat. Easy on and off the beach and excellent food nearby.” Jan 1, 2008 by
K from Newark, DE
“I was there during Christmas weekend and the overall experience was satisfactory for the rate I paid for the rooms.” Dec 31, 2007 by
Joe from Dinsmore, SK CA
“No need - it won't be open much longer.” Dec 31, 2007 by
Amy from Highland Mills, NY
“This hotel needs to be updated and remodeled but it was comfortable and pleasant. Nice pool and beach. Restaurants were very pricey.” Dec 19, 2007 by
Megan from Philadelphia, PA
“I really would never come back to the Wyndham in Nassau. I was extremely upset with my room quality and staff members at the stores on the ground level were not friendly. The pool would have been nicer to go in if it was heated considering it was very cold.” Dec 17, 2007 by
Ia from Montreal, QC CA
“The hotel ran out of water in the middle of the day. And I received a 6:00 am phone call on a Sunday, an hour before my scheduled wake up call morning, asking me what time I would like my breakfast, which I had asked to be delivered at 8:00 am.” Dec 14, 2007 by
Bill from Nevada City, CA
“Its on its way to demolition to make way for newer and glitzier. Meanwhile no meaningful maintenance has been done in years. Price is about right, but don't expect much other than a very good location and beach out front. Full access to next door Wyndham helps a lot.” Dec 14, 2007 by
Frank from Jacksonville, FL
“The customer service was not at my standards. The room was not of my liking and there wasn't any room service provided.” Dec 6, 2007 by
Arthur from Long Beach, NY
“Fine hotel for short visit. Restaurants onsite, superb beach access, casino, excellent amenities. Hotel could use some TLC as proprietors have failed to maintain the facility. Cable Beach area still lacking based on failure to proceed with Baha Mar project. Service on island is slow.” Dec 1, 2007 by
Tyneise M. from Hayward, CA
“This hotel is located 5 miles from the Livly Downtown area and the hotel it's self is located right on the beautiful beach.”
