- The lobby was very nice.
- Staff was curt and the room was dirty. The shower didn't work. We didn't feel safe at all.
“I got the impression that since the hotel was going to be razed in a few days, they didn't care at all about our happiness or comfort. I felt they charged us a bogus charge because we got such a good price on our room. For a hundred dollars, we could have chosen a hotel near the airport and saved the cab fare.”

“This hotel had the best rates available and was surprisingly nice. I was very satisfied with staff, location, amenities. If I could get the same room for the same price I will do it again in a heartbeat. Easy on and off the beach and excellent food nearby.”

- The staff at 22 above was the friendliest people in the hotel such as David the Bartender.
- My bed linens were extremely thin and looked worn. The light in the bathroom made my sister and I feel like we were in a jail cell.
“I really would never come back to the Wyndham in Nassau. I was extremely upset with my room quality and staff members at the stores on the ground level were not friendly. The pool would have been nicer to go in if it was heated considering it was very cold.”

“The hotel ran out of water in the middle of the day. And I received a 6:00 am phone call on a Sunday, an hour before my scheduled wake up call morning, asking me what time I would like my breakfast, which I had asked to be delivered at 8:00 am.”

- It's falling down in aged disrepair.
“Its on its way to demolition to make way for newer and glitzier. Meanwhile no meaningful maintenance has been done in years. Price is about right, but don't expect much other than a very good location and beach out front. Full access to next door Wyndham helps a lot.”

- Eliminated poker room! Hotel is deteriorating based on failure to upgrade or maintain.
“Fine hotel for short visit. Restaurants onsite, superb beach access, casino, excellent amenities. Hotel could use some TLC as proprietors have failed to maintain the facility. Cable Beach area still lacking based on failure to proceed with Baha Mar project. Service on island is slow.”

- Rooms are old. Hallways stink. Get rid of vacation plan sellers.
“Rooms are old and musty. Hallways too. Staff is outstanding. Friendly. Polite. Helpful. The vacation plan people are selling grossly overpriced coupons of dubious value. There presence reflects poorly upon Wyndham because there ubiquitous presence in the lobby and main hallways implies a tactic approval by Wyndham of their questionable product and tactics.”

- The relative newness and cleanliness of the entire property.
- Balconies could be a bit more spacious along with doors on the dressing rooms.
“The Wyndham Nassau Resort is perfect for a solo traveler like me, along with families and couples. It really is an all-in-on with the many dining options, bars, the casino and proximity to so much more in Cable Beach. If you'd prefer you really don't have to stray farther than a few hundred meters from your room to the beach, pool, restaurants and shopping right across the street! Their is very convenient, safe and reliable public transportation to the shops on Bay Street right outside the front entrance to the hotel and you are within walking distance of a craft market and other casual diners. If you enjoy the Bahamas like I do you can't go wrong with the Wyndham on Cable Beach.”

- Mold Smell, ceilings falling in from rain.
“Overall the experience was just ok. It rained every day of the trip and there were massive water leaks everywhere. wet tile floors, the ceiling fell in while we were shopping in the perfume store, hallways smelled like mildew and mold, doors did not muffle any outside noise, we could hear everything in the hallway and I'm sure they could all hear us, food was way overpriced, gratuity was automatically added even if we had poor service, they tried to rent our room out twice while we were still there. We had 2 different people on our trip try to get into our room in the middle of the night because they showed the room was vacant!”

- Extra resort fees, cleaning fee (?), somewhat grungy and run down.
“This must have been the place to go in Nassau before the Atlantis hotel went up. The safe is $3.00 a day. There's a decent fitness room, although very musty and not very well maintained. Overall, a 2 star moderate: somewhat rude and surly staff, kind of dirty and musty, not a completely pleasurable experience.”

- Numerous days no towels, noisy, extra unnecessary charges.
“We basically knew what to expect from reading previous trip reports, otherwise we would have been very disappointed. Our room was very nice compared to others in our traveling party. Hotel is scheduled to be torn down this summer and is in worn out condition. Upon check out we were charged an additional 11.40 for porter fees, 22.40 per day energy surcharge and 8.00 per day for the maid. This is ridiculous. We never used the porter and the maid and energy should be included in your basic fees. Just another way to rip off the tourist for more money. We are still amazed that the anywhere on the island they get away with charging $5 each for beer that is made right there. Our next trip will be to Jamaica or Mexico.”

“For a basic room and stay, this hotel is ok - if you are willing to put up with peeling paint and service that is slow. They add $15/day per adult to use the facilities, so factor this in too the cost. The $15 allows you to use the facilities of the two four star hotels next door, which are fun.”

- Its proximity to the beach.
- They charged $15 per person per night, which was not clear when making the reservations.
“This right away gave us a sour impression of the hotel. After that, it seemed like they were just after money. They charged for everything and time share people were allowed to actually set up in the hotel lobby and yell at you as you walk by. That aside, the hotel looks like it peaked in the 1950s and hasn't been renovated since. The best part about it is you walk down the beach and can use amenities of the other hotels. ”

“The rooms are big but old. The staff was not so courteous or friendly, prices are extremely high for everything. Newhart a. If you want a place to sleep a bit cheaper than the other places, it¿s nice. The hotel will be demolished soon and will open a St Regis hotel, thank god. Almost forgot, look out for the timeshare people trying to sell.”

- The hotel charges a mandatory /day gratuity.
“Nasty place, termites, mold, and cockroaches are visible in many places onsite. Hotel is very run down, not one brave soul would enter the pool the 5 days I stayed there. I would avoid Nassau completely, go to Mexico and spend half the amount for better service and experience.”

- The beach is nice.
- It is disgusting - old, dated, and dirty.
“This hotel should not be rated anything above 1 star. It is very old and worn. The bathroom is rust stained and peeling. This however is not the reason we had an unacceptable room - we snuck a peek at another room the next morning as it was being cleaned and found it was in even worse condition than ours. We had requested to be in the new providence Wong as reviews had said it was nicer but unfortunately that was not where we stayed. ”

- The staff was friendly.
- The hotel room was Nasty and in bad shape. The carpet was stained and the bathroom was really Nasty!
“The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel is in need of a make over. The room was Nasty and looked very old. The bathroom floor was Nasty and my daughter and I did not step on the bathroom floor without flip flops on nor did we step in the shower without any flip flops on. The bed was uncomfortable as well. There was also a really big red stain on the carpet, yuck!”

- The view from the room was great.
- A balance between hot and cold water. The room only had hot or cold.
“Hotel is settled in a central local surrounded by several other hotels. This hotel is great for one seeking low key hotel with not many activities.”

- Close to the airport and had a nice beach area.
- No hairdryer, coffee maker towels for 24 hrs smelled musty.
“No longer than we were there it was ok. I would not recommend staying there any longer than we had. I asked for another room and was never moved. Disco under our room that had music until 3am. Loud it vibrated the floor. No way to use safe. Carried everything with us at all times. John canoe restaurant was very nice. Had to get spray every 4 hours to spray in room.”

- The beach!
- People trying to sell you things.
“I thought the hotel was very nice, clean and everyone was friendly. However the staff did not mention we had access to the amenities next door (Hugh waterslide, hot tub etc.).”
