• Very clean and roomy. Hotel in well maintained condition.
• Location.

• Somewhat noisy. Internet was
  very expensive (15 GBP per day!)

• Convenient, clean rooms, helpful staff.
• Party with loud music in nearby meeting room until 1:00 am.

“The hotel was a short walk from Paddington Station and Marble Arch, and in a nice neighborhood that seems to mainly cater to locals. Good, inexpensive Middle Eastern and Indian restaurants nearby. The room was clean and nicely appointed, staff was helpful and friendly. Internet is costly, but desk clerk gave us a 15 minute card (normally 3 GBP) and did not charge us for it. What would have been an optimal visit, however, was spoiled by a very loud party with music and a DJ held in a nearby meeting room. Although we called to complain at midnight, no action was taken, and the music continued until 1 am. This hotel and others should reconsider renting facilities for noisy, late night events which disturb hotel guests.”

• Free Internet access would have been nice.

• It was in an excellent location and I felt welcome from the minute I arrived until I left.
• They did not allow me to have a late checkout because hotel was booked.

“I highly recommend this hotel for its location, quality, and friendly staff. Price is a bit on the high side, but that's London! I would definitely consider going back again.”

• Big rooms fro London. Every expectation met.
• They did not treat a woman who was sent to the wrong Marriott very well.

• Staff was friendly.
• Lifts are slow.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful, however the extremely slow lifts made every trip up to the room a trial in patience (2 3 minute wait). The hotel food was overpriced even by London standards, but the quality was decent. The location is not ideal for arrival by tube as the nearest station is approximately 10 blocks away. The room was adequate, however nothing more than would be expected of a medium quality hotel. Overall, if I had paid full price for this room.”

• It's in a location which has many stores and restaurants which are open late hours-convenient.
• The front of the hotel faces a rear of a building which is somewhat like an alley and could use some prettying up.

“It's walking distance to the Marble Arch and many sites are within a tube stop or a few. I would stay there again. I felt safe in the neighborhood. There are some markets and retail stores convenient to it.”

• Concierge service was excellent,
• The neighborhood has a strong Muslim influence, this made me nervous.

“Older hotel right on the border of the congestion zone. Well kept, staff were friendly and up to Marriott standards. The website indicated they were in viewing distance of marble arch, they are three blocks away. The neighborhood has a strong ethnic influence.”

• The room and hotel in general were very nice.
• The location of the hotel was in an ethnic ghetto and I didn't feel safe.

“I'm sure that this hotel will not be a Marriott branded hotel much longer as the location is so poor. The rooms and hotel in general were to my expectations for a 3-4 star hotel (in Europe). The lobby area is small, but clean, and the staff were friendly, especially the door men who were very courteous. The area where the hotel is located appears to be an ethnic ghetto (aribic/muslim), neither I nor my companion felt safe in this area. I would not stay at this hotel again.”

• Very easy to get to using Paddington express from Heathrow and taxi from Paddington.
• Meal prices too expensive did not eat or drink in the hotel.

“Clean, luxury, very comfortable beds. Central location, near marble arch oxford stifled very safe in the neighborhood despite edge ware being a middle eastern neighborhood. Internet in the hotel way overpriced; there is an internet place across the street which offers 2 pounds for 140 minutes. Meals and drinks in the hotel way overpriced so did not eat there. Sainsbury¿s in marble arch sells takeaway drinks and sandwiches and many restaurants in the vicinity. Hyde park nearby. Took Heathrow express to Paddington and then taxi to hotel only 4-5 pounds.”

• big bed, comfy sheets, gym and pool!
• four star hotel should not have stains on shower curtain

“I don't know what four stars is but it seemed like a three star due to its crappy bathroom toiletries and stained shower curtain. How many stars is a top-notch hotel--five? This hotel was more than one notch below that...”

• Bed was wonderfully comfortable.
• Poor service, keys never worked.

“Very disappointing stay overall. The bellman told me there simply wasn't enough space to store my extra bag, while the front desk person contradicted him in front of me and told me there was. The keys to the room and the executive lounge would work only after 20 - 30 tries. I kept getting them replaced but that didn't help. The staff in the executive lounge asked me for my room number - out loud, in front of other guests. And - to top it all off - the wake up call we asked for at 6:15am the day of our departure was NOT delivered and we almost missed our shuttle to the airport. ”

• Location wasn't the best.

“Nice hotel, about 5 blocks from the tube, so you have to walk to it, other then that it located in the Arabic district, which have lots of choices in middle east style of goods and shops for some great options are many, and star bucks is about 3 blocks away.”

“The London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch was a terrific place to stay. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was located only a few blocks from the underground which made it easy to get around the city.”
