  • Internet connection in the room is expensive. Restaurant for breakfast is good but also expensive,

“For the price paid on Priceline, this hotel is much more than I would have expected. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean. There are nice bars and restaurants in the hotel lobby.”

  • Location is superb.
  • Hotel has its share of non-renovated rooms.

“Hotel's principal draw is its location which is close to everything short of Santa Fe area of the DF. Hotel is beginning to show some age and many rooms need an urgent makeover. Hotels are a little dark and dingy for my taste. Some rooms pick up room noise from street, even higher level rooms”

“The Maria Isabel Sheraton is so, so close to many of the destinations sought by business traveler. The hotel is comfortable and accommodations are very, very good. The staff makes up for whatever shortcomings the hotel might have. I Experienced two power outages during my one night stay, but fortunately did not last too long.”

  • Lobby and facilities like pool very nice, though I did not have time to see or use the pool. Buffet breakfast very nice.
  • The room was nice, clean and reasonably decorated though felt somewhat cramped for a luxury hotel. Nonetheless, it met the standards for the price.

“All staff friendly and helpful. Management extended them to be gracious. Breakfast buffet was lovely and the hotel offered facilities such as a pool that I did not have a chance to see or use. My only negative was feeling the room could have been a little larger.”

“Some of the services in the hotel were overpriced by any standard. The internet was US $17 per day (US $9 for 3 hours) and I was charged about US $107 for a 14 page fax. When I told the front desk that I believed that the fax took about 10 minutes, rather than 15 (fax charges were calculated by minute, rather than by page) and that I had waited while the fax was sent, it refused to adjust the price.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Maria Isabel. They have a very gracious staff: at our request, they extended our check-out time by an additional hour so that we could rest up for our return trip. The hotel is in a convenient location, walking distance to lovely chapleted park, the zone Rosa entertainment district, etc. Rooms are very comfortable, although not huge. They are attractively furnished.”

“Hotel very well located. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Very convenient for business travel and has all necessary amenities. The room I stayed in has seen better days and public hallway in floor I stayed could use some maintenance (mainly cleaning of floor carpets which were soiled and not even vacuumed). Good price to quality ratio (for the price I paid), but not worth the rates quoted by the hotel on the phone.”

“Great location. Felt very safe about walking across Paseo de La Reforma to Zona Rosa for dining and shopping. Hotel housed a travel agency which arranged good trips around and outside the city. Elevator service was excellent-virtually no waiting. The hotel was a popular choice for many conventions. Drinkable water in the hotel and hotel room. Low ceiling in lobby detracted from overall ambiance, but still very impressive. Free shoeshine in lobby. ATM within building. Next door to the American Embassy. Adjoined Sanborn's-- a restuarant and department store. We were able to walk to Chapultapec Park. Two Subways and McDonalds within minutes. Fun restaurants in Zona Rosa- Don't expect much company for lunch if you eat before 3 p.m. Breakfast did NOT come with room, and the buffet cost $20.00 US Dollars, per person, so we didn't try that. Hotel personnel were immaculately dressed. No ice vending machines, but very prompt delivery of ice- no charge, but we did tip 10 pesos a bucket (about 90 cents US. Conceirge provided change from large pesos bills to coins. Beds were very comfortable. A/C was effective and quiet. We liked this hotel.”
