“The location isn't great and nothing around that remotely interests you unless you head to the city center which is 22-25 pound in a taxi. Staff very friendly and efficient very stylish hotel. But the food was shocking for a 4 star hotel with high accolades it was appalling I ordered a burger and chips and it took a total of 5 minutes form the order to getting to my table a well done burger doesn't add up really and I got McDonald style chips no salad garnish presentation of meal poor and cost me 13pounds. I am a chef my self a never said anything but its was poor my friend had a steak witch was 24 pounds and was advertised as a Sirlion 10oz and was clearly not covered in sauce. Had high hopes 4 a well known hotel and high star it was shabby workmanship in the food. But the breakfast was superb great staff though.” May 1, 2009 by
Dave from Deer Park,WA
“Nice place, friendly staff, no soft drink or ice machines, no in room coffee maker no elevator.” Dec 8, 2008 by
David from Arlington,VA
“Rooms are small but nice. Not quite what I've come to expect from Marriott in the states, but not far off. Internet costs, and it costs a lot. Hotel is right off the motorway, so fairly conveniently located. My wife and I came down with food poisoning the day of our arrival and the hotel staff was very helpful in trying to make us comfortable, even giving me a free glass of sprite from the (closed) bar in the middle of the night and printing directions to the nearest hospital in case they were needed. They also offered to call a Dr. for a house visit and told us that the Dr's charge 50 quid for housecalls in addition to any other charges. This is a pretty basic no frills marriott as far as the rooms are concerned, but the night staff that was working while we were there, a blond young lady whose name I cannot remember, was exceptionally helpful.” Sep 8, 2008 by
Debbie from Tulsa, OK
“Nice hotel but parking was terrible. I am handicapped and had to park at least a block away (in the parking lot) from the entrance and walk/limp to the door. This is a big hotel and even bigger parking lot with only 4 handicapped spaces at the entrance and all were full during the time we were there.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Richard from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
“This hotel is in a great location convenient to the motorways and airport. The rooms are very nice, clean, and spacious. Cleanliness seems to be a priority and the hotel has all the amenities you would want whether you are traveling for business or pleasure. Very well thought out. The only negative I saw was there seemed to be a lack of staff during peak hours. I would definitely stay here again.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Sherry from Naples, FL
“I highly praise the staff of this hotel. They were friendly and efficient. We had a medical emergency while there, and they were very helpful in directing us to a hospital, and helping use extend our stay. The room was very comfortable, attractive and clean. While it is near the airport, and there is a shuttle, it is not complimentary.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Alice from Los Angeles, CA
“Staff good, not excellent. Very clean, attractive room furnishings, no clock radio. Close to many dining alternatives in charming town nearby. Complimentary coffee not refreshed when requested, ignored by staff. Bed extremely comfortable and lovely sheets.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Lynn from Vauxhall, NJ
“Convenient with great pick up and drop off service to and from the airport. Friendly staff, they really need to leave more bathroom supplies for travelers i.e. - toothpaste and toothbrush for emergencies. Breakfast is on time or it's free.” Jun 15, 2008 by
Michael from Boyertown, PA
“I was amazed by how great this hotel was. From converting dollars to pounds to answering questions about sites. The rooms were sparkling clean and the shuttle service to either the airport or the train station was superb. They allowed me to check in early when my plane landed ahead of schedule. I felt very comfortable and safe staying in this hotel.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Fran from West Chester, OH
“Overall, it was a good stay. I would stay there again.” Apr 10, 2008 by
Charles from Dorset, VT
“Great facility for access to Manchester Airport and cost was very reasonable - but food very expensive - nearby recommended pub very good.” Feb 27, 2008 by
Dan from Marietta, GA
“Great location nice accommodations.” Feb 15, 2008 by
Ed from Elverson, PA
“Overall it was very pleasant. I arrived late and was tired and the beds were very comfortable. Parking is adequate but a long walk to reception. The only bad item was the strong urine odor coming from the toilet. I think they need to use fresheners.” Jan 15, 2008 by
Tom from Monrovia, CA
“Liked the location, very nice hotel. I don't like the high price of internet use.” Dec 17, 2007 by
John
“Details are forgotten by all departments of the hotel. My room had a heating problem. It took 6 calls and 2 days to repair. I sent shirts to housekeeping for same day laundry. They were returned unlaundered 36 hours later with the message unfortunately your laundry did not go out today, we apologize for any inconvenience. Housekeepers forget to provide face cloths. Bar staff have far more interested in watching football on the TV than serving customers. Marriott is usually a terrific place to stay but this hotel lets the chain down badly. Avoid it!” Dec 13, 2007 by
Bob from Sioux Falls, SD
“Excellent hotel. Good bar area with flight info on the monitors. Nice service shuttle to the front door of your terminal. Excellent for the business traveler. I took a taxi too the hotel to say time. About 4.50 pounds. Then shuttle on the return.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Patti from Tallahassee, FL
“I found this Hotel excellent value. The staff was all helpful and the room was all that could be desired and more. 100% satisfied.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Rick from Pittsburgh, PA
“The hotels staff needs to realize that guests, pay to stay there. And can choose to stay anywhere. The hotel's staff should be friendly to their guests and not so rude. People there acted like they were doing us a favor for simply doing there job.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Maureen from Clovis, CA
“The staff went out of their way to meet our needs; there were snacks in the lobby 24 hours. The shuttle service was excellent. Rooms very large, best bed I have ever slept in. Would definitely stay there again, very quiet.” Oct 30, 2007 by
George from Wilmington, DE
“Quiet, would not stay here again. Staff we met was unpleasant and not accommodating at all.” Sep 22, 2007 by
Mark from Sanford, FL
“Great place to stay, easy access for Manchester Into airport, will definitely stay again, when my travel plans call for Manchester flights, would recommend to any one who asked.” Aug 3, 2007 by

“This hotel has excellent facilities for travelers. The pool and spa area are excellent. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. They are undergoing refurbishment at this time but it is being very well managed. Airport shuttles convenient, hotel staff especially friendly and helpful. Great traveler hotel!” Jul 15, 2007 by
Rachel from Gillingham Kent, UT
“Shuttle service was adequate. Warm and efficient check in allowed me to check in early when I asked if they could hold my bags until the afternoon. Very disappointed at the non availability of food after 11 pm. The staff brusquely informed me the kitchen was closed. A satisfactory stay and met most of my needs (except the need for food when returning to the hotel at 11pm).” May 4, 2007 by
Jeni from Austin, TX
“I would certainly stay at the Marriott again as the free shuttle was convenient for the airport running every half an hour and it was a good overnight choice. I was upgraded to an Executive Double room which was wonderful, extremely comfortable and very nicely decorated. The Executive lounge only provided a small selection of complimentary soft drinks, but was a nice quiet space in which to relax and read the paper. Waitress service was available in there from the bar and restaurant. I did not have the opportunity to try the complimentary breakfast in the morning as I valued my sleep too much, but a continental breakfast is served from 6.30 for those who have access. Overall, I had a very positive experience.” May 3, 2007 by
Bill from Las Vegas, NV
“Spacious room with very comfortable bed. Well equipped and spacious bathroom with good shower flow. Good shuttle service to Manchester airport. However, cleanliness not up to usual Marriott standards-debris from previous guest spotted on carpet.” Apr 11, 2007 by
Steven from Temecula, CA
“We had a mix up with an order for a party of 5 people. The server failed to order one of the meals. When he offered to replace the missing order with any item on the menu at no cost, we were left waiting for 45 minutes until the meal was brought. The rest of the party had waited until the could no longer for fear of their food getting cold. The free meal was refused when ultimately delivered.” Jan 8, 2007 by
Asif from Tampa, FL
“Great place to stay for a transit flight.” Nov 16, 2006 by
Michael B. from New York, NY
“At check in, all staff on duty were new trainees and not yet competent; poor management to have only trainees at the desk. When an experienced person did show up, she was very, very attentive. Large, comfortable rooms in awkward sprawling layout.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Kevin from Elk Grove, CA
“Marriott Manchester stated that they were sold out and moved me to a less expensive hotel within the airport complex. I have a feeling they wanted to sell my room for the full price so they used a "sold out" line. I was very disappointed that they used these tactics to make a few pounds.” Aug 27, 2006 by
Jude from Norwich, VT
“It's clean, the down comforters and sheets luxurious and the mattresses fine. We walked to a pub down the road for food and drink because the hotel's options were very expensive. Overall, a great experience. ” Aug 21, 2006 by
Grete from Carmel, IN
“The hotel is large with many amenities including Internet access and work-out facilities. There was also three choices for dining. The staff was very nice and we were quickly picked up at the Manchester train station/airport and dropped off the next morning to catch our flight.” Aug 19, 2006 by
Nancy from Warren, ME
“This hotel is airport accessible with shuttle service. The food was very good with a variety of eating places as well as pubs to walk to. The Leisure facilities were superb.” Aug 16, 2006 by
Ray from Palm Beach, FL
“Excellent hotel, particularly for an overnight airport stay.” Aug 16, 2006 by
Nathaniel from Providence, RI
“It took a bit long to be picked up from the airport, but the room was comfortable.” Aug 15, 2006 by
John from West Cornwall, VT
“This Manchester Marriott is a superior location, and used to be a 4 Seasons the locals told me. The pool facilities are unbelievable - more like the Roman Baths! They have 'family rooms' (2 double beds) that are very nice. Very comfortable beds, a staff that is friendly, great bar and restaurant. AND even though this is a few miles from the airport, I didn't hear one plane fly over. Best hotel I have ever stayed.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Joseph from Philadelphia, PA
“The Manchester Airport Marriott lives up to the Marriott reputation for clean rooms, good dining and excellent staff.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Eulogio from West Newbury, MA
“Hotel is in an extremely convenient location. The room was a quite comfortable and the pool was terrific. Room service was not quite as up to par as the other services.” Jul 31, 2006 by
Jude from Norwich, VT
“It was much better than I was anticipating. \\\I got a price 150% below the regular rate.” Jul 21, 2006 by
Zal from Indianapolis, IN
“We stayed in this Hotel only for one night. upon arrival we placed a free call to the hotel and we got picked up within minutes and the check in process was easy and event less We requested and got a room on the 1st floor. The carpet seemed old, but room was clean and large.” Jul 8, 2006 by
Tim from Victoria, BC CA
“I would not stay here again. The slamming of doors and noise from people walking in hallways makes it difficult to sleep after the early departures start leaving.” Jul 4, 2006 by
Mary from Sacramento, CA
“Almost impossible to find rooms. Met lots of young and old guests completely lost unable to locate room. Could not recommend it. Too many steps, never found the elevator although it was well signposted!” Jun 2, 2006 by
Sean from Palm Springs, CA
“The hotel as a whole was run quite well. The room was beautiful with wonderful amenities. There are great restaurants and bars on site with excellent food and an attentive wait staff. The hotel front counter staff overall was OK - some genuinely warm and helpful while others seemingly bothered by my presence (hmmm...).”
