“Great hotel on the water. Two executive levels (floors 10 & 11) with superb rooms and great bathrooms with separate tub and walk in shower. Comfortable beds, large flat screen TV and wonderful toiletries, slippers and robes. Located outside the city center so a car is a must for sightseeing. Parking is very limited and cost is expensive. All but one employee were extremely helpful, especially the front desk.” Sep 19, 2009 by
Daniel from Wilmington,NC
“The Marriott is a lovely clean hotel in a lovely spot in Copenhagen. Really not much different than any Marriott you'd encounter in the states, save that everything is insanely expensive - $30 a day for internet access, per computer. $10 to $12 a beer in the bar, etc. The gym is kind of small, though the steam room and hot sauna are nice.” Sep 1, 2009 by
Rhoda from Cherry Hill,NJ
“Location was great.” Aug 28, 2009 by
Bill from Astoria,NY
“The Marriott can be easily reached from the airport by taking a train to Central Station and walking a few blocks. The general location is good, not far from the city center. We found the desk satff to be very friendly and quite helpful” Aug 28, 2009 by
Larry from Freehold,NJ
“The only negative was it was at least a ten minute walk to get anywhere. Everything else was first rate.” Aug 20, 2009 by
Heidi from New Milford,NJ
“Great hotel!” Aug 8, 2009 by
Nancy from Johnstown,PA
“Beautiful hotel-nice amenities in the rooms. Comfortable beds with feather pillows, spa level soaps and shampoo, great shower even for tall people, and it is very clean. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, lots of variety. All the staff members provided excellent service. Excellent view of Tivoli from our room.” Jul 10, 2009 by
Alexander from Walnut Creek,CA
“Clean large rooms, friendly staff, good food. Location a bit far from the center, but close to Tivoli Gardens. Internet access very expensive, Wi-Fi only in the lobby.” Jun 27, 2009 by
Marci from Seattle,WA
“Somethings rotten in Denmark and this hotel was it. When we checked in, we asked for a higher floor than 3rd but were told there were no more rooms. The 3rd floor room was smoked in. When we spoke to the desk about that, they apologized and moved us higher. The next morning, we left the room only to return and discover an I-pod missing. When we approached management, they interviewed the maid who denied the allegation and then dismissed the incident completely well, I guess it went missing. Finally, when checking out, the desk clerk, when we reviewed the bill, discovered that our restaurant bill had been altered (it did not add up) and had been listed as 710 Dkr when it should have been 510 Dkr. How do you honestly confuse a 7 with a 5? This hotel is rotten from start to finish. Worst experience of my traveling life.” May 29, 2009 by
Frances from Abbotsford,Canada
“This was the newest hotel in Copenhagen and the choice for VIP's. The head of the UN was staying here during our visit. The staff was extremely helpful.” May 26, 2009 by
Toby from New York,NY
“Very comfortable hotel, but like every Marriott hotel world - wide. We got an excellent room price through Priceline, but everything else was priced way to high - $7 for a bottle of water from the mini-bar; very high access cost for internet, expensive breakfast, etc. The staff was all friendly and professional.” May 25, 2009 by
Trevor from Valley Village,CA
“Excellent property, right on the water. About 3 blocks from Tivoli, 5 blocks from The Square.” Mar 26, 2009 by
Gene from Mississauga,Canada
“Perfect place to stay. Not a very central location, but everything within a walking distance.” Sep 13, 2008 by
Kit from Apo, AE
“Hotel is in a central area on the canal, which is lovely to walk along for exploring the city. Our 7th floor city view room had a great view of the ride action at Tivoli.” Sep 11, 2008 by
Charles from Huntington Beach, CA
“NA.” Sep 11, 2008 by

“Great hotel. Clean, modern, comfortable and in a superb location.” Sep 9, 2008 by
Lisa from Sun City, AZ
“Clean and bright hotel with great view of the river. Location was about 10-15 minute walk to the Stroget (Central area).” Sep 2, 2008 by
Ehab from Toronto, ON CA
“The hotel was a nice 5-star hotel. But the check-out was a bit slower than I expected due to a large group that was checking in at the same time, and they were understaffed.” Sep 2, 2008 by
JoAnn
“EXCELLENT.” Sep 2, 2008 by
“Loved the rooms, view of water, a little far from attractions.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Dan from Ny, NY
“This hotel was ok. The beds were certainly comfortable. But I felt that I was always being asked to pay more money for additional things - the business center, internet access, food, etc, there was free coffee in the lobby in the morning, but it was not well managed, so that whenever you went down the coffee had always run out, and there was no one assigned to refill it - I had to tell the front desk every day that the coffee needed to be refilled. I appreciate the free coffee, but I think a 4 star hotel should not need to be told that the coffee has run out - they should have someone checking on this. I also thought the food was expensive - and there were no options for more affordable food. Combined with the location of the hotel (it was fairly central, but was not around any kind of cafes or restaurants or anything) meant that on a Saturday night, it was raining very hard, and at 6 in the evening my companions and I started to wonder where we could eat dinner. The hotel was too expensive but there was nothing else around. I understand that this isn't so much the hotel's fault, but it did not make for a very pleasant stay. On the other hand, for people who like gym facilities, I thought the gym at this hotel was much better than I normally would expect, so that was a definite plus.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Henrik from Hellerup-Denmark, AE
“Nice space in room and good view of the city. Typical Marriott.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Patty from Minneapolis, MN
“Location is not great and its way over priced for what you get.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Aiely from Saratoga, CA
“I liked this hotel the most because every staff is friendly, accommodating, and make me feel welcoming.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Eric N. from Santa Cruz, CA
“Fantastic views through huge windows, super comfy bedding, but culturally generic.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Steve from Merrimack, NH
“Newer hotel with beautiful bar and restaurant overlooking the water.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Dmitry from Stamford, CT
“Very modern clean hotel, but with horrible service. It took 40 min to deliver luggage to my room. I paid for a room upgrade only to be awaken by horrible noise from the floor above. After making multiple phone calls to the front desk, they sent a security guard who informed me that they are making window repairs upstairs.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Michael from Baltimore, MD
“Very nice hotel which met our expectations and the staff went above and beyond in helping else.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Andrew from New York, NY
“The Copenhagen Marriott is, at its core, a Marriott nothing more, nothing less. It could be any Marriott in Boise, Milwaukee, or Chicago. There is nothing inside that lets you know you are in Denmark, unless you count the hotel's eagerness. Visitors are better off hopping on the free Internet connections around town. Even the design of the hotel is very brutalist and Soviet, not Scandinavian. Our stay was adequate, but I would never choose to stay at this Marriott again.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Norberto from Visalia, CA
“Great location, clean, friendly staff, comfortable room and concierge was very helpful in giving directions and other information.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Christine from Laguna Beach, CA
“We enjoyed our stay there!” Aug 9, 2008 by
Jfd from West Hills, CA
“Easy check in, friendly staff. Room was ready upon arrival. Concierge friendly and helpful with directions. Lovely outdoor area to sit on the canal and enjoy free morning coffee. Would highly recommend this hotel.” Aug 8, 2008 by
John from Brookings, OR
“An amazing location for a trip to Copenhagen. Great people, great rooms, wonderful views and great attitude.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Pamela from Spring, TX
“Hotel is very nice and staff is very helpful. If you can walk several blocks into the center than this hotel is fine. If you cannot walk very far you either have to pay for a taxi each time you want to go someplace in town or stay around the hotel facility only. There is nothing next door to the hotel that would be interesting although the hotel rear view is of the canal. There are plenty of taxis that are waiting outside the hotel so no problem getting a taxi. You are fairly close to the train station about 3 blocks from the hotel. Too far to walk with heavy bags so you would need a taxi if you take the train from the airport.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Susan from Renton, WA
“This was a great hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The city was a short walk, but there was a boat that stopped right behind the hotel where you could hop on and off all day. Great for getting to points in the city as well as sightseeing.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Pam from Thornhill, ON CA
“The Marriott Copenhagen was a lovely hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Copenhagen. It was a convenient location close to Tivoli, the central train station and the main shopping area.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Eileen from San Clemente, CA
“Nice location. Nice size room. Good Amenities.” May 31, 2008 by
Dennis from Eugene, OR
“Absolutely perfect from check in to check out.” May 30, 2008 by
Beth from Orlando, FL
“This was a beautiful hotel with wonderful views. The room was comfortable with a huge bathroom and AC (which is not standard in Denmark). The staff were friendly and helpful - we did not have any bad experiences with any staff members. It would have been nice if it had been closer to other dining options - it wasn't horrible but that would have helped. The breakfast here was very overpriced for the quality of the food.” May 25, 2008 by
Don from Fayetteville, GA
“Very pleased with property. Staff was extremely efficient with excellent English skills. Room was spacious with very nice amenities. Nice location adjacent to an attractive canal and close to several tourist attractions. Public transportation (train and bus) were within reasonable walking distance. Early check-in was available to us.” May 22, 2008 by
Kathy from San Bruno, CA
“It was outstanding. Staff was great, location made it easy to get around. I would definitely come back & recommend it to others.” May 13, 2008 by
Bob from Morgantown, WV
“The hotel is very nicely appointed, clean, and the staff are helpful. Just 3 blocks from the train station is a plus. However, there are no restaurants nearby other than the hotel's. And the hotel restaurant was the only negative we had. The food was uninspired, and room service pizza was worse.” May 11, 2008 by
Jonina from San Diego, CA
“The hotel staff is friendly, helpful, etc. Good quality of the hotel public spaces and facilities. The cleanliness of the hotel room, lobby, facilities, etc is very good.” May 3, 2008 by
Monica from Charlotte, NC
“The hotel was located just walking distance to central Copenhagen. It was just by the waterfront so you could go outside at night and have a drink and really enjoy the waterfront view.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Matt from Chelsea, MA
“Our stay at the Marriott Copenhagen was stellar from start to finish, even for this picky traveler. Easily forgiving rather loud-colored (green) floral carpeting in the room, and a shower that pooled instead of draining completely (perhaps unique to our room), it was a memorable stay. From the views out the window, the trademark comfort and linens, the punctilious service, and the well-appointed business center, to the lavish bathroom with tub and glassed-in shower, the ample self-serve breakfast and the pleasant staff, the experience was solid star-quality. It would have been perfect except for our experience at the hotel's only restaurant (the single option being surprisingly little to choose from, for a Marriott). The wait for a table was almost 15 minutes even though the restaurant seemed empty - the result of an unattended host station, no doubt. We should have known better right then, but without much choice we then had to sit through a menu with poor selection, promising food that just did not match its price when it actually came, and service that failed to deliver at all on multiple promises of more bread, among other things.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Ehab from Springfield Gardens, NY
“It is a nice quiet hotel with a nice view but a bit of a walk to get to the main shopping area of Copenhagen.” Mar 23, 2008 by
Allen from Arlington, VA
“Modern in keeping with Danish decor. Discrete with fantastic setting overlooking river on one side and city center on the other. Quiet with incredible beds and bathrooms.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Krishna from Arlington, VA
“A great value for the money. The nice, friendly staff allowed us to check-in early. It's only a 10 minute walk to the train station and 15 minutes walk to Downtown and the main tourist attractions. The hotel is right on the water and has nice views, and the lobby is attractive and full of a great selection of international newspapers. As for negatives, I can say that the restaurant, bar, and souvenir store are incredibly overpriced. Also, there's nowhere else to eat or shop within less than a 10 minute walk.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Larry from Wasilla, AK
“Wonderful people and atmosphere. Walking into the lobby was a relaxing moment and I knew I did not have to worry about details. Staff was friendly like last time and remembered our last stay. Concierge was very friendly but not as effective as hoped.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Kevin from Newtown, PA
“The front desk staff insisted that I pay $10 to get an internet card to prove to them that I had paid for a free breakfast, and said it was my responsibility to make their records correct. This was blatantly unacceptable and goes against every fiber of customer service. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone for this reason.”
