“The Marriott Copenhagen was a lovely hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Copenhagen. It was a convenient location close to Tivoli, the central train station and the main shopping area.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Eileen from San Clemente, CA
“Nice location. Nice size room. Good Amenities.” May 31, 2008 by
Dennis from Eugene, OR
“Absolutely perfect from check in to check out.” May 30, 2008 by
Beth from Orlando, FL
“This was a beautiful hotel with wonderful views. The room was comfortable with a huge bathroom and AC (which is not standard in Denmark). The staff were friendly and helpful - we did not have any bad experiences with any staff members. It would have been nice if it had been closer to other dining options - it wasn't horrible but that would have helped. The breakfast here was very overpriced for the quality of the food.” May 25, 2008 by
Don from Fayetteville, GA
“Very pleased with property. Staff was extremely efficient with excellent English skills. Room was spacious with very nice amenities. Nice location adjacent to an attractive canal and close to several tourist attractions. Public transportation (train and bus) were within reasonable walking distance. Early check-in was available to us.” May 22, 2008 by
Kathy from San Bruno, CA
“It was outstanding. Staff was great, location made it easy to get around. I would definitely come back & recommend it to others.” May 13, 2008 by
Bob from Morgantown, WV
“The hotel is very nicely appointed, clean, and the staff are helpful. Just 3 blocks from the train station is a plus. However, there are no restaurants nearby other than the hotel's. And the hotel restaurant was the only negative we had. The food was uninspired, and room service pizza was worse.” May 11, 2008 by
Jonina from San Diego, CA
“The hotel staff is friendly, helpful, etc. Good quality of the hotel public spaces and facilities. The cleanliness of the hotel room, lobby, facilities, etc is very good.” May 3, 2008 by
Monica from Charlotte, NC
“The hotel was located just walking distance to central Copenhagen. It was just by the waterfront so you could go outside at night and have a drink and really enjoy the waterfront view.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Matt from Chelsea, MA
“Our stay at the Marriott Copenhagen was stellar from start to finish, even for this picky traveler. Easily forgiving rather loud-colored (green) floral carpeting in the room, and a shower that pooled instead of draining completely (perhaps unique to our room), it was a memorable stay. From the views out the window, the trademark comfort and linens, the punctilious service, and the well-appointed business center, to the lavish bathroom with tub and glassed-in shower, the ample self-serve breakfast and the pleasant staff, the experience was solid star-quality. It would have been perfect except for our experience at the hotel's only restaurant (the single option being surprisingly little to choose from, for a Marriott). The wait for a table was almost 15 minutes even though the restaurant seemed empty - the result of an unattended host station, no doubt. We should have known better right then, but without much choice we then had to sit through a menu with poor selection, promising food that just did not match its price when it actually came, and service that failed to deliver at all on multiple promises of more bread, among other things.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Ehab from Springfield Gardens, NY
“It is a nice quiet hotel with a nice view but a bit of a walk to get to the main shopping area of Copenhagen.” Mar 23, 2008 by
Allen from Arlington, VA
“Modern in keeping with Danish decor. Discrete with fantastic setting overlooking river on one side and city center on the other. Quiet with incredible beds and bathrooms.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Krishna from Arlington, VA
“A great value for the money. The nice, friendly staff allowed us to check-in early. It's only a 10 minute walk to the train station and 15 minutes walk to Downtown and the main tourist attractions. The hotel is right on the water and has nice views, and the lobby is attractive and full of a great selection of international newspapers. As for negatives, I can say that the restaurant, bar, and souvenir store are incredibly overpriced. Also, there's nowhere else to eat or shop within less than a 10 minute walk.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Larry from Wasilla, AK
“Wonderful people and atmosphere. Walking into the lobby was a relaxing moment and I knew I did not have to worry about details. Staff was friendly like last time and remembered our last stay. Concierge was very friendly but not as effective as hoped.” Mar 13, 2008 by
Kevin from Newtown, PA
“The front desk staff insisted that I pay $10 to get an internet card to prove to them that I had paid for a free breakfast, and said it was my responsibility to make their records correct. This was blatantly unacceptable and goes against every fiber of customer service. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone for this reason.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Rich from Wrentham, MA
“I have stayed at many Marriotts. I have stayed at this one twice. I don't like being nickeled and dimed for every little thing and that is exactly what the do at the Marriot Copenhagen.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Larion from Woodburn, OR
“Very nice hotel and we will be going back. I would very gladly recommend the hotel to friends and family. Wonderful atmosphere and I was glad to stay there. However, the rooms should be redecorated with consistency in design in mind.” Jan 6, 2008 by
Andreas from San Marcos, CA
“The hotel is very nicely appointed and very clean with very friendly and helpful staff, recruited from all of Europe, so everyone speaks English. The view over the Skyline from the upper levels is extraordinary (it makes sense to upgrade the room) and the beds are indeed extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and of typical American design (resort style) with clean and generous bathrooms. The fitness facilities were well equipped and comfortable to use. The hotel is within short walking distance of the Central Railway Station and Tivoli Gardens (i.e. the City Center).” Jan 4, 2008 by
Kay from Seattle, WA
“We were there over the holidays, the hotel was not full. It was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful except in the dining room. I would be wary of the congestion from cruises in the summer, but it would also be nice to be on the canal then.” Dec 11, 2007 by
Mr.Nik from Helsinki, SC
“Great service and acceptable restaurant with slightly old fashioned but very luxurious rooms, Marriott style. The staff has clearly instructions to speak English but half of them cannot make themselves understandable neither speaks Natively. Very good breakfast and friendly staff overall.” Dec 2, 2007 by
Bergthora. from New York, NY
“Beautifully decorated in amicable colors with very friendly and helpful staff. Very well situated, near the city center and perfect for combining business meetings and leisure. I have already recommended this hotel to my business partners.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Roger from Frankfort, IL
“Excellent hotel, meticulously maintained. Very high quality, good location.” Sep 23, 2007 by
June from Cambridge, ON CA
“Stayed 2 nights pre cruise & 1 night post cruise. All hotel employees treated us very well. Copenhagen is such an expensive city for shopping and dining. We did eat in town at 3 exceptional restaurants so did not try the Marriott's restaurant. Taxis are easy to get at the Marriott for the ride to the pier and the airport. We appreciated being able to use the business centre to check in and print off our boarding passes (at a cost) to use the internet. Very handy. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are large and the bathroom has all the amenities you need.” Sep 4, 2007 by
Pamela from Salina, KS
“Very nice place to stay. The staff was helpful in the business center.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Joan from Charlottesville, VA
“Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Location a bit far from central Copenhagen.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Craig from Mcallent, TX
“Price was high due to dollar but is worth the price. Very close to train station and central Copenhagen.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Morris from New York, NY
“Excellent hotel in every respect.” Jul 14, 2007 by
C from Pleasant Hill, CA
“The hotel was conveniently located to the Central train station and Tivoli. Quiet waterfront location.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Scott from Long Island City, NY
“I expected something much nicer. This is a sterile business hotel with lots of space in the rooms, but they honestly couldn't be uglier (everything is red green and orange, nothing is modern). I found the room so ugly that I couldn't bear to spend any time in it.” Jul 7, 2007 by
Johnpaul C. from Berkeley, CA
“Not much for the young or hip. Mostly older cruise passengers and airline employees.” Jun 19, 2007 by
Ian M. from New York, NY
“Pretty much good experience; but the location is not convenient to the main attractions. And there are no dining options beside the hotel at all; but then the dining in the hotel costs quite a bit.” Jun 7, 2007 by
Norma from Cumming, GA
“We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott in Copenhagen. It is a very nice hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location almost necessitates eating at the hotel unless you want to walk several blocks. Having a mid-range restaurant in the hotel would be helpful.” Jun 5, 2007 by
Ruth from Bridgewater, NJ
“Spacious, very nicely decorated rooms, with a view of Tivoli on one side and the river from the other side. Extras were expensive.” Jun 2, 2007 by
Loved C. from Brooklyn, NY
“I expected this hotel to be more centrally located, because it is located on the water. It turned out to be slightly off-center, in a quieter area but still totally walk able (10-15 minutes slow walk) to the center, which is Stronger. In all fairness, the Tivoli is right there, and so is the Glitter Museum, both of which are on the list of top 10 things to see in Copenhagen. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay here. The bed was very comfortable; the shower water pressure was super. I really can't complain about anything at all, except that they charge ridiculous rates for phone calls. This was a shock because they don't have public telephones in Copenhagen, only "private" (owned by Tulia), which have to be used with a special pre-paid card with a chip. Or even better, use your cell phone. I loved the fact that they provided helpful brochures about Copenhagen in the lobby with all sorts of very useful info. I loved the fact that you can rent bicycles from them, at any time you want ($20/day). You can lock your bike if you want to "park" it somewhere in the city. It's very safe to leave the bikes around the city on the street. We didn't have a problem. You can rent bikes for cheaper elsewhere, but I just love the convenience. The bikes are very good quality and are just a pleasure to use for exploring Copenhagen. I thought this was such an amazing convenience for their guests that should be advertised more. Very pleased. Highly recommend and would come back here again.” May 6, 2007 by
Charlie from Cypress, CA
“I was very pleased with the Marriott. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly and answered my questions when I had one. They even provided me with an adapter (they use 220v) so I could connect my laptop. Getting a taxi was as easy as stepping outside the hotel. There is always one waiting outside. And the nice thing about this hotel is that everything is close by (5 minute walk to Tivoli gardens, downtown, train station etc.) Overall I recommend this hotel.” May 1, 2007 by
Matthew from Portland, OR
“A very nice, upscale hotel on the edge of downtown Copenhagen. Very convenient to Tivoli Gardens and the main square, fairly close to the pedestrian streets. Rooms are very comfortable and afford excellent views on either side of the hotel. Bed was excellent. Staff was very pleasant too.” Mar 26, 2007 by
Arlette from Sarasota, FL
“Hotel is well located along the river and rooms and beds are excellent.” Jan 8, 2007 by

“This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large for European hotels which were a delight after staying in small rooms for over a month. Great beds.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 28, 2006 by

“The hotel was in a good location. The rooms were clean & in very good shape. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very expensive (Approx $25 US) but it was excellent. Great hotel to stay at.” Aug 28, 2006 by
Millie &. from Silverdale, WA
“We went to Copenhagen to celebrate our 3oth wedding anniversary and had an excellent time. The hotel is right on the water and only a 10 minute walk to center for shopping, sightseeing, etc. The staff were friendly, very helpful and service oriented and spoke English. The hotel was immaculate and very comfortable to stay in. They met all our preferences.” Aug 27, 2006 by
Mike from Patchogue, NY
“Excellent hotel in a fantastic city. Room is traditionally Marriott with firm beds and fluffy pillows. Room was clean and neat. Large, comfortable bathroom with plenty of free space. Concierge was most helpful and made excellent recommendations. ” Aug 15, 2006 by
Jude from Williamsburg, VA
“Most comfortable king bed you can find in Copenhagen. Centrally Located in the city. PERFECT!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 14, 2006 by

“The hotel is located within walking distance of the train station and downtown. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Upon check-out, we found out that we'd been charged for breakfast at their restaurant. They quickly took care of the problem.” Aug 13, 2006 by
Todd from Danville, IN
“Very clean, modern. Excellent breakfast for 120 Kroner (about #12) with wonderful salmon, herring, breads, fruit, juices, teas, coffee, and cereals. Nice patio area for viewing the water and very quiet location.” Aug 8, 2006 by
Jamie from Royal Oak, MI
“Feels like an American Hotel.” Aug 4, 2006 by
Mary from Eighty Four, PA
“This hotel was like walking into paradise after a long 9 hour overnight flight. The marble bathroom, comfy bed and pillows, friendly staff, and various amenities were wonderful. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.” Jul 30, 2006 by
Hang C. from Krokstadelva, HI
“Nice hotel, friendly staffs, poor breakfast buffet and for high price.” Jul 28, 2006 by
Beth from Monroe, GA
“We got this hotel for $87.00, and thought it as an excellent bargain. Absolutely beautiful room and view. The patio on the water is relaxing and cool, with an amazing view, the restaurant is extremely overpriced, but just getting a beer, and enjoying the air is beautiful.” Jul 23, 2006 by
Cecilia from Burnaby, BC CA
“This is a 5* hotel, very clean and the rooms are big with very comfortable beds, right by the river with excellent view. I hope to get the same hotel if I visit this city again.” Hotel Representatives:
