“The hotel is located right next to the river Danube. The shopping street with lots of nice cafes and restaurants are just around the corner of the hotel. All the rooms have a balcony facing the river and overlooking the scenic Castle Hill. The overall standard of the hotel is very high, and the service is excellent.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 11, 2006 by

“Wonderful location and very helpful and friendly staff. I had an excellent stay but the cost of internet service was excessive and they needed more choices for in room entertainment.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 7, 2005 by

“EXCELLENT location. EXCELLENT service.” Oct 23, 2005 by

“Convenient location on the river Danube, within walking distance of most major tourist attractions and great view over looking the Danube. Attentive staff and smooth check in and check out. Comfortable room and bathroom, although air conditioner not entirely effective in cooling the room. Breakfast prices seem high by U.S. standards, although the dessert buffet in the lobby is a bargain in comparison.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 19, 2005 by

“Budapest Marriott overlooks the Danube providing a panoramic view of the river and Buda Castle from your balcony. The location is convenient to public transportation, many restaurants, and Budapest sights.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 1, 2005 by

“It was beautifully situated for walking around town and the rooms were nice. Some staff were a disappointment at times and certainly didn't have the attitude that they were there to help---others were very nice but it affected the way I felt about our stay.” May 27, 2005 by
Charles K. from Valparaiso, IN
“Very friendly staff and outstanding location with great views. Would highly recommend this hotel” May 16, 2005 by

“Very nice hotel right on the banks of the Danube. Good location. Room had great view with balcony. Service was impeccable. They even offered free coffee because we checked out before the restaurant opened.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 10, 2005 by

“The Marriott is an excellent deal for the price I paid. It is right on the Danube and right next to the main pedestrian area of Budapest. The hotel is constructed so that every room has a river view, and every room has a balcony. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the beds comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 7, 2005 by

“Excellent location in Budapest. Within walking distance of all the attractions. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Clientele obviously a well travelled group.” Mar 22, 2005 by

“I can't recommend this hotel highly enough (especially for the price I paid!) The location is ideal - right on the Danube - within walking distance of shopping, major sites, metro stops, etc. The staff went out of its way to help in a number of areas, and nearly all of the hotel staff (except the occasional housekeeper!) spoke excellent English. Every room in this hotel has a large balcony and a stunning view of the Danube. The decor appeared fresh/new, the bed was very comfortable, and the room offered every amenity you could expect, (hair dryer, iron/ironing board, minibar, safe, etc.) In addition, the lobby/bar area was always lively and welcoming.” Feb 2, 2005 by
Sonia from Nevada City, CA
“Good location, nice room,,,a bit small. staff was unhelpful, not friendly and felt like they could care less about their guests. most unwelcoming.” Dec 16, 2004 by
Christian M. from Lynchburg “Good location, nice view, friendly staff, easy check-in” Dec 6, 2004 by
Scott S. from Snohomish “the hotel is very nice, good location. hotel services like internet etc, are grossly overpriced. the taxi drivers are extremely crooked and the hotel knows this and purposely says nothing, they charge guests 6 or 7 times the actual local rate and they do it picking you up in front of the hotel and is accepted, marriot should not allow this. great service in hotel by staff. hotel is clean, outside is nothing special but the view is fabulous.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 23, 2004 by
Jeffrey L. from Brooklyn “The hotel was great.” Sep 13, 2004 by
Janet S. from Royal Palm Beach, FL “Clean, nice and friendly staff. Perfect hotel and beautiful view from room.” Hotel Representatives:
