• Very clean. Staff was great!
• Only twin beds or a king. Like 2 double/queen beds.

“The location is excellent! Right in the heart of Brussels. We arrived at 7 am and they allowed us to check into a room that early. Very friendly and helpful staff. Marriott's are the best hotels. There isn't a pool at this hotel, but because your so close to all the tourist attractions it doesn't matter. Our kids were busy and didn't even miss the pool. Great hotel!”

• Fabulous location.5 min. walks to Grand Place and great shopping. Metro stop is extremely close.
• I had nothing to complain about!

“This hotel was just what we needed after experiencing European culture for 3 nights in a bed and breakfast in Bruges. We turned to the Marriott for American comfort and style and were not disappointed! It was a beautiful, comfortable, clean, quiet, and nice size room with 2 twin beds. The bedding was luxurious and mattress very comfy. The room and the bathroom were very clean as well. The hotel was in a great location. Very easy 5 min. walk to lovely shopping area and the Grand Place. Concierge was very helpful providing map of Brussels and info about City Bus tours. Front desk staff very polite and efficient. They have a computer with internet access available for guest use, but it was not working when I tried it.”

• The staff, facilities and location are excellent.
• Absolutely nothing was wrong at this hotel.

“Over the course of 15 days, I have been in seven different hotels all claiming 3 and 4 star status. This hotel rates at the very top of them all. I would happily come back to this hotel. The facilities, staff, food and location were excellent.”

• Internet service is too expensive.

“A very high-quality Marriott property situated near most of the tourist attractions in Brussels, within walking distance of the central train station. Very nice rooms and beds and appealing restaurants. I would call it a 5-star hotel by European standards.”

• General area still up and coming.

“One of the top five beds we have ever slept in, even though we had only one night in Brussels, my wife would not get out of the bed. Location was very central, a bit grungy but hey, that's Brussels. Staff was exquisitely professional and helpful.”

• Every item any person would need was available and the staff was very accommodating.
• I think that a McDonald's restaurant on the 1st floor did not add to the hotel's atmosphere.

“This hotel is a quiet oasis located within the bustling Grand Places district. Therefore the location was convenient and without distraction from the late night bar & restaurant crowd.”

• Close to subway, metro for transportation. Walking distance to sightseeing in town.
• Could have had more food choices for late night dining.

“Great hotel for a business traveler. This is the second time I stayed at the Marriott Brussels. Walking distance to all sightseeing (grand place, mannequin, etc.) And has underground tram stop next to hotel to connect to metro and train - fastest way to get around and across town. Hotel very clean, friendly staff - will stay there again next time.”

• Front desk didn't know there was supposed to be coffee in the room.

“Once we found the hotel, it was easy to find again. We tried calling the number provided and after being transferred a few times we finally got directions. Having a coffee pot in the room and no coffee sent me to the store. These were minor and the hotel was fine.”

• Manager ignored a major complain.

“I woke up with my legs coated in dirt (? looked like excrement but did not smell) Manager sent his head of staff services who immediately concluded I was responsible for soiling her bed!!!! Refused to move us to another room and made no adjustments to our stay.”

• I can't think of a thing!

“While a long way from the train station on foot, the nearby Grand Place made the Marriott a good locale. The room was clean and well arranged, but a little small. Public spaces were bright and inviting.”

“The hotel was incredible. On our recent trip to Europe, which included 2 other hotels, this hotel really stood out - and it was the most inexpensive. A true 4 or possibly 5 star hotel. Incredible room and incredible location. Truly exceeded expectations. Would love to stay here again.”

“Good location and nice comfy rooms. Good brasserie. Just around the corner from the very little Chinatown where you can get a 15 euro reflective foot massage (and boy did that feel good after a day of aimless walking). MkeyDee downstairs if you are really homesick.”

• The security of the hotel was great.
• Too many pillows on the bed.

“The Marriott is ideally located within a short distance of the Grand Place and is in a neighborhood with many interesting restaurants. It is extremely accessible through public transport, making it very easy to get out and see Brussels. The lobby is elegant and the rooms very comfortable.”

• Very comfortable rooms and handy to the train station
• Not a lot of great restaurants nearby and no concierge on duty

“The Marriott Brussells is about a 15 minute walk from the Central train station, and very close to both the Place de la Bourse and Grande Place, also within reasonable walking distance of the art museums. An inside room was very quiet, with great pillows and bathroom. The only drawback is that it is in a touristy area which made finding good, affordable restaurants difficult, and there was no concierge on duty on the weekend to help out. Take a good guide book instead.”

“The staff at the Marriott Brussels was VERY helpful. We had some of our bags stolen and they called around the various agencies to alert them of our dilemma. Plus wonderful advice pertaining to transportation, tours, restaurants etc. The rooms were on the small side but not claustrophobic. Service also was above par.”
