- Clean, good location.
- $50 was stolen from our wallet that we forgot to put in the safe.

- This hotel did not discriminate against our group of young travelers. We experienced exceptional service and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- The location seemed a little far from the center of town and the airport. Also, a free airport shuttle was not provided.
“This hotel was exceptional. The facilities were beautiful, the service was great, everything far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is a little far from the main tourist attractions however, for the superior quality of stay, it is worth the extra taxi fare.”

- This hotel is in good location, centre of Bangkok, services are excellent, and our kids like to stay in Holiday Inn.
- The foods are very expense.
“In general, Holiday Inn located in Silom is very attractive location. Services at the hotel met the international standard if compared to Holiday Inn in the US. People are very nice, foods are very tasty, and however, price of foods is expensive.”

- Incompetent staff.
“Despite being a 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Silom certainly did not live up to its reputation. The staff although friendly, were largely incompetent and unable to converse in English. We had an intrusion into our room at 12 midnight by a housekeeping staff which was a shock to us. Never has this happened to us in a 4-star hotel before. When confronted, the staff denied and the manager even insinuated that we were lying about the incident. Overall, we had a terrible experience and we will definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Not unless you welcome unexpected visitors in the middle of the night.”

- The restaurant quality.
- The outrageous internet charges (almost $20/hr).
“This property has gone through some renovation over the past few years. The improvements are particularly felt in the public areas, and the new restaurant "The Brasserie" is a great beneficiary. Excellent food with an incredible variety of items for all three meals. The rooms, but particularly the health club, could benefit from a similar renovation. One of the few cons, the outrageous internet charges that are close to $20.00/hr, with only an option of 15mn for B275 or 24/hrs for B790. Thus, for longer stays I prefer to stay a other properties in town. This last stay, I arrived before 6am and was given the keys to my room on the spot at no extra charge and without having to beg. Excellent service!”

- Had problems with the hotel and staff; but Choy the duty manager was very good at resolving them and making the stay okay.
- Room is horrible; old and outdated stained; construction etc.
“Good Location; outdated and worn rooms; staff not as friendly as most in Thailand. Construction going on making noise. Choy the duty manager makes the Hotel okay; he solved my problems with the noise via room change; and other problems with guests and staff. Choy is the best. Without him I would not stay here again.”

- Considering the quality level of the hotel, it's great value for the money.
- Located in the jewelry shopping district, so there are several 'friendly' con-artists on the street.
“Holiday inns in Asia are far better than the ones in north America. This is easily considered a 4-star hotel. The silo location is good, but not as popular as the Siam square/Sokhumi area. But given the more modest cost of the area, and that taxis are readily available and are relatively low cost, I would definitely choose to stay here again.”

“Overall experience was good. Don't book day tours & cabarets from them. Always shop around and ask what's included. My husband lost his wedding ring. He thinks he left it inside the room when putting on lotion. Can't make accusations. Not 100% sure. Lesson: careful with valuables.”

- The lobby and lobby entertainment are nice.
- I wanted to ride with the airport car to pick up a friend and they wanted to charge me twice.
“A good hotel, significantly better than most holiday inns. Reasonably convenient location. The concierge is adequate for simple questions but shows no interest in moving beyond the call of duty or to the level of most 4 star hotels.”

- The hotel far exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and beautiful.
- The hotel was not as close to the sky train as advertised.
“The Holiday Inn Silom was an excellent hotel for my short, two day stopover in Bangkok. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. We stayed in the Plaza Wing which was completely remodeled. I went into the Crowne Wing and noticed that it was not nearly as nice. So if you have a choice request the Plaza Wing.”

- Poor shower spray.
“Location to shopping such as Pat Pong Night Market, is great. Buffet breakfast also great but a bit expensive. Shower spray was poor but the room was otherwise great. The doorman was helpful and courteous. Desk staff was deceptive with regards to breakfast buffet and prices. Long distance calls from hotel room were incredibly expensive (2.5 minutes about USD 5)! Located next to Starbucks, supermarket, convenience stores and restaurants.”

- Nothing. One of the worst managed hotels anywhere, rude staff.
- Pool needs upgrading, could not get a seat a pool, poor English of staff.
“They could not pay me to stay there again. I lost time and missed a trade show I needed to attend. Staff was rude and other guests said the same to me. Service was slow, had to ask for the same things several times and even then they were not done. Management dreadful. I was on an executive floor but they did not do what they were supposed to do and having stayed in Bangkok many times before, I was shocked at the rudeness and poor service. I had to wait so long for them to untangle phone bill overcharges that I almost left without paying and the nasty day manager tried to call the police. As a result, I missed the trade show. Even paying them to mail a letter resulted in their leaving the envelope in a stamp drawer instead of mailing it. Asking for iron and ironing board could not even be accomplished. Asking for my Priority Club balance led to another run around. The staff needs training or replacement, especially front desk on the ground floor.”

“I stayed at the Holiday Inn on 2 different dates. On my first stay, I was put in an executive suite. Very nice and spacious, though a little old. My second stay was in a regular class room, which was small. I think this hotel should be rated a 3 star and not a 4 star. I wouldn't bid for a 4 star hotel in Bangkok, cause you will always get the Holiday Inn.”

- Cheap
- Very slow checkin, tiny old bathroom, too far away from Skytrain

- Great location very near the Sky Train station at Surasak
- My 5th or 6th stay at the Holiday. No negatives at all!!
“Definitely 4 star. Price was terrific. Clean comforrtable bed. Nice bath with daily amenities.”

- Leaving it.
- The walls are horribly thin, and I was kept up all night by neighbors. Air-con freezing and unadjustable. View of parking garage.
“This hotel may have 4-star services but is worse than a 2-star guest house. The walls allow all noise to penetrate, and my penetrating neighbors kept me up all night. They should give out free sleeping pills. The air conditioning is freezing and cannot be made warmer. The window, looking onto a parking garage, could not be opened. ”

- The Doormen and BellBoys
- They dont belive in refunding or replacing a food order that they mess up on.
“Very Different than a American Holiday Inn Silom. Our Refridgerator, did not work for the first two days, from our 3 days stay at this hotel. We would call housekeeping, and some one would always come make some adjustment,and say that it will work in 2 hours. But it just went on and on, also talked to the duty manager. Finally they replaced the refridgerator/Mini Bar. All over they had Holiday Inn signs, saying if you are not completely satisfied with our service, we will do everything to fix it and the night is on them (Holiday Inn). ”
