  • The staff.
  • Overpriced,
    no English TV.

“The hotel staff and location were amazing. It was A 7 minute walk to the metro station. Several local convenience stores in the area. The downside to the hotel was the food was way over priced, internet was 18/day, and there was no English TV.”

  • Everything! A wonderful experience.
  • I couldn't find any fault with the hotel.

“A must stay hotel on Tokyo Bay. Great location if you want to be a little bit away from the crowds.”

  • There was a bed to sleep in. The staff was friendly, but just not helpful.
  • The hotel does not have all the conveniences of a luxury hotel. Especially for the Asian region which is known for their amazing hotels.

“The hotel is in a clean, safe area of Japan, but not close to any of the restaurants/shopping. There was no concierge service, which made it difficult as tourists to figure out what to see. We wasted part of our vacation doing the research ourselves in their business center. They do not provide water in the rooms, and you cannot get it anywhere in the hotel. We asked the restaurant for a bottle of water, but they would not let us carry it out.”

  • The room size was excellent for Tokyo.
  • Basic room, basic amenities.

“The intercom Tokyo bay is a very nice property, and staff there were supremely polite (as was true everywhere we went in Japan, so I don't think this was exceptional in any way), albeit slow and seemed to have difficulty honoring requests I spent considerable time waiting for rooms to be available, organizing no smoking room, etc. Only to be given the run around by desk staff). Very courteous but in no way exceptional service. Rooms are basic, albeit large for Tokyo. Lovely bathroom with separate deep soaking tub. Property, especially rooms, is really showing its age, with dirty carpet in hallways, uncomfortable beds, dinged up furniture, entirely unspecialized room decor.”

  • I liked the convenient location and the spectacular view the hotel provided.
  • The hotel was somewhat dated, and worn, and the beds were too hard.

“The hotel on a whole was excellent, somewhat dated in areas but was way above our expectations in compared with North American standards. Although the hotel thought we were 2 friends traveling together, they were able to provide us with a king size bed the next day. Location was excellent, very close walk to the train station, and very close to the "Ginza" and "Odaiba" shopping area.”

  • Location.
  • Parking.

“My wife and I checked into the Sheraton Grand Sacramento in the evening. Upon entering our room I opened the blinds over the window. This came crashing down on me. So much for the view! It was late and we thought we might order food up. When we opened the hotel guide which contained the room service menu, we found most of the pages to be stained badly and/or stuck together. We ordered a dessert and a glass of wine (Franciscan chardonnay $10.50) and it arrived in about 25 minutes. The wine was bad (taste bad and smelled strongly of moldy cork). Called back down to room service and 25 or so minutes later they sent another glass up. By this time it was after 11:00 p.m. and my wife was asleep. I mentioned these mishaps to the front desk in the am and got little sympathy. I also had to ask that the glass of wine, which was left in the room, be removed from our bill at checkout (it was).”

  • We didn't speak Japanese that well. The staff was very helpful. Had a nice view of the bay.
  • The hotel didn't seem to use express checkout. Also, hotel areas were a little dark.

“Great hotel. Very pretty. I expect pretty, with some perks (robes, turn down service, tasty treats, etc.). Hotel staff and room was nice. Restaurants were expensive, but nice as well. Great location, right next to the Takeshiba station.”

  • The hotel gave us free coupons both mornings we were there for their upscale breakfast buffet (worth $30 or more).
  • The only thing remotely close to bad would be the location, but even it is still quite good.

“This hotel was the best hotel I stayed at while in Japan for two weeks (out of 7 different hotels).”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[6]

  • Clean, fancy, good service.
  • A little out of the way location wise.

“The hotel was clean, attractive, and staff was attentive without being overbearing. The only downside is the location. It¿s about a 10 min. Walk to the subway that serves a major line and the neighborhood stores. The monorail stop is much closer, but doesn't serve many of the neighborhoods that we went to. There isn't much else near the hotel; it¿s about a 10 min. Walk to convenience stores, bars, etc. But there are restaurants in the hotel. Our room had a gorgeous view of the water. I would stay here again. If you want to stumble out of your hotel into nightlife, this is not the place for you. Other than that, everything else was great.”

  • The location is easy to get to, yet secluded enough to feel private.
  • Bed type was not available, but the hotel was fully booked.

“The Intercontinental Tokyo Bay is located a bit of the beaten path, but easy enough to get to from both tourist and business hot spots. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit expensive, but then again, it's Tokyo.”

  • Nothing - Perfect hotel.

“This hotel was amazing. The staff was very helpful and very attentive - we never had to ask for anything and the highest level of service was provided. I had read reviews of this hotel that stated it was out of the way, but I sincerely feel it was easily accessible from anywhere in the city. I would stay there again without question.”

“This was a fabulous hotel at a great price. Our room was on a top floor and even though we did get our requested king, the two doubles were in a very big room with a beautiful view of Tokyo Bay. The service at the hotel was excellent.”

  • Great Service, Great Staff.
  • No Pool, No Iron in room.

“Don't get me wrong, this is a good hotel. BUT no Pool, No Iron in room, no coffee available for purchase in lobby, and a truly mediocre location in terms of proximity to a REAL train station. You WILL be given a room with 2 single beds and you WILL get a smoking room, neither of which are our preference.”

  • Location was OK if you're looking for a quiet stay. Facilities were impeccable.
  • Staff doesn't acknowledges well if you are dress too casual"."

“The location oversees the Tokyo Bay, for a little extra I could've been upgraded to a nicer view but mine was excellent already. 99% of the staff spoke English well and was able to give explicit directions to go around Tokyo. They all insisted in not taking the subway because is complicated" but it wasn't. The only drag was that eating shops around the hotel close early on weekends. Excellent place overall, highly recommended!!!"”
