• Location and restaurants.
• Room is white in total which is makes me feel like I'm in a hospital.

“Good although very expensive. Next time I'll stay at Grand Hyatt which is next to Marriott.”

• We've stayed there several times and the friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff is unmatched.
• The restaurant in the lobby had zero ambience.

“We always try and stay at a Marriott hotel when traveling because of the quality and consistency of service we've always received. The Marriott Singapore is one of the best. The rooms are well appointed, very comfortable, and spotless. The bathroom is lovely too and big enough that you get a separate shower stall (always a plus!). From check in until we left, the hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We even had a personal wheelchair waiting for our daughter upon returning from her surgery, such was the level of anticipation for our needs.”

• The hotel was located in a convenient part of Downtown Singapore. The staff was friendly and courteous.
• The restaurant prices were quite expensive. We chose to eat outside of the hotel.

“We arrived on an early flight from Chennai, India and arrived at the Marriott by 8:30 AM. Check-in is not until 12 noon. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. They did their best to get us into a room early- we were in our room by about 10:45 AM- which was wonderful. The staff was very helpful in helping us determine sight seeing options, travel options and even called a vegetarian restaurant for us to make a reservation just before closing. The rooms were spacious, clean and had lots of windows. The bathrooms were luxurious and the shower was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt a bit pampered.”

• Cordial staff, location, well appointed and luxurious bathroom.
• Mini bar prices.

“Excellent location for a visit to Singapore. Staff was exceptionally cordial and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable with the bathroom being exceptionally nice. Great shower!”

• The elevators can take a long time.

• The location itself is a destination; access to shopping, dinning was excellent and proximity to transit made other parts of the city easy to reach.
• They didn't have a gift shop from which to purchase travel incidentals.

“I loved the location of this hotel, in the middle of shopping, dinning, entertainment and close to public transportation. The rooms felt luxurious and the marble bathrooms were a dream.”

• The lobby was a great meeting place for people. The staffs were helpful and the room had gorgeous strawberries waiting for us.
• Parking is definitely inadequate. Guests staying should be able to stay in the parking structure free of charge. The amenities should be better.

“This hotel was in the best location-the biggest intersection in the city. It is great for business travelers as well as families. The concierge could have been more helpful giving directions for driving ourselves instead of telling us to take a taxi to get everywhere. The room was very nice and a good size.”

• I feel comfortable and the surroundings pleasant.
• The construction near the hotel is noisy and went on until almost 10pm on Saturday night.

“The Singapore Marriott is pleasant for both my children and me. The location is great and the staff is friendly and considerate.”

“We will stay again in Marriott Singapore for the next trip, but this hotel should be listed as 4 stars, not 5 stars hotel. It's an excellent hotel but still not 5 stars.”

• Central, convenient location, close to shopping and many food courts.
• They do not seem to have specific smoke, free rooms.

“Ideal central location, with the MRT (subway) station, right below the hotel. Upscale shops and medium-priced shopping malls within easy walking distance. Big range of dining close by too.”

• the room was beautiful, bathroom was wonderful
• that I only had less than a day to enjoy it due to travel

“reception staff let me check in at 10.30am straight from my flight.Room was spacious, bathroom excellent - bath was luxurious. It has a sauna and steam room though I didnt have time to try them. Hotel on corner of Orchard Rd and Scotts Road so excellent for shopping.”

• It was a great deal. I was amazed at the price for a hotel of this caliber.
• They took a very long time to check me in. They also initially said that they did not have non-smoking rooms.

“It was an excellent hotel in a great location for a fantastic price. However, they took a long time to check me in and they said that they did not have any non-smoking rooms. Only after I insisted did they find me one.”

• Price very good for this area
• They seem to have gone low end on in room items, like water, mints, etc.

“They are five star but seem to be trying for four. Not keeping up with service as before.”

• Located at the heart of downtown area.
• Food is a little pricey in the hotel but plenty of alternatives in the vacinity.

“A very nice & clean hotel located at the center of shopping area (Orchard Road). The room is spacious with complimentary of fresh fruits daily. Down the lobby, the staff is polite and converse well in English. By speaking to the staffs, we were able to find wonderful food, great shopping tips and places to go.”

• Very Nice and Friendly Atmosphere, Extremely Clean, Staff was polite and helpful, meet most of my expectations.
• I didn't like the size of the rooms. The Executive Suite was very crammed and the bathroom tubs were small.

“For the most part I really enjoyed my visit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I was although disappointed at the size of the rooms. You get more for you money at the Hilton as far as size of the room and bathrooms are concerned. I expected more for the money that I paid, but I was satisfied never the less. I look forward to my next visit.”

• Downtown and very close to the subway station.
• Bathtub was small and a little dirty

“Staff was very friendly. The room was clean but was unable to get a king size bed, settled for two double size beds. Bathtub was small and had some mold around the caulking by the sink, room 1411. The restaurant was very nice and had a very good selection of delicious food. The subway station was less than a two minute walk from the hotel which made it very convenient for traveling the rest of the island.”
